I have always been interested in the mountain, which is visible from my apartment in Uzhhorod. Later I learned that it was Vigorlat. And now I know its history from the point of view of geology. Thank you for this video!
Thanks! These recent videos have been making me more and more interested in regions with extinct volcanic chains, such as Kazakhstania! Who knows what we could find! Also, the photo at 5:20 is spectacular, featuring a sunset or sunrise!

Im really happy you finally got to my country which had a very interesting geological history and is very colorful and complex in that regard. You butchered all the names however 🤣. Google translate has listen-to feature you can use for names.
It would be nice if you could do a threat assessment of the tropical storm in Southern California and how the Salton sea could gain so much water that it could induce an earthquake of significant portions.
The caldera I can't find any info on is off the SW coast of Utupua Island which are part of the west pacific Santa Cruz Islands I think. It's very evident it's a huge caldera, I'd say possibly active in last 50,000yrs and is well over 20 miles in diameter. If it is in fact a caldera it would have certainly been a enormous eruption I think of VEI 7+. If you have ant info on it I'd love to hear about it thanks.
Can you do a video on why there are no volcanoes in the Alps or Himalyas? I kinda get it, but I bet most people would naturally presume there are or were volcanoes in these mountain ranges

Our cottage is close to the village of Lubietova - next time I will have a closer look at the rock formations around.
