Hey guys! I just recently finished Hololive's Top 10 Rappers which is a sort of part 2 to this video: th-cam.com/video/xY4FUlJvDnE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Tawnky
@@Vortrexyeah true 😂 but every time the list maybe changes, so its not that relevance to change it that fast.. maybe wait for another months and the list has to be updated
The most unbelievable thing about Risu (and why she deserves the top spot or at least one of the top spots) is that she's had very little vocal training. I think she's gotten a lot more by now, but the fact that her singing live at holofes was largely untrained is a testament to just how naturally amazing she is. It's honestly insane
@@peacechan4500 I heard someone else mentioning that her current challenge with singing is endurance, being unable to keep up those vocals for long durations. Maybe that's why she's still wants to have a teacher, so that she can overcome that issue.
@@peacechan4500 yeah. her vocal coach also said that Risu have only one bad singing habit that slightly hinder her voice and if she could fix it she could be even better singer.
Reminds of the day the squirrel and moon voice attacked Holofest. Alot of people got suprised there, not just fans but also senpais. I hope Risu and Moona get more chances to show off their singing skills in concerts or live 3Ds.
That's the moment where's everybody realizes that moona and risu have amazing singing voice, I remember Alice&u got a lot more views after the holofest
I like how everyone excited about holo myth then ID came from nowhere and got all the attention. Sheesh, Risu's performance there was absolute madness.
Risu vocal range is giving me goosebumps all the time, its sad that her ALiCE&U song only got low views. I remember in one of her streams she said that she wants to do more karaoke, but has a financial problems. She thought the release of her official song would help her, but its not what she was expecting. Watching risu clips where she had financial problems, i cried so much
My main reason to support risu, i know she will big if she have a good team, better publication, marketing and budget. She have that talent, but most of her income go the her mother's medication. Man... it's just sad how someone as talented as risu not get that big. I'll keep supporting her from now on
They all kinda do! That's pretty much the reason why they sing on their streams, cause they have some talent; otherwise people wouldn't tune in. And some were even musicians before hololive, like Calli
@@M_o_n_i_k_a pretty sure Moona was an Idol from what the rrats have told me, and Suisei just was born to sing, both Moona a Suisei can be divas and make it big if they put their all in it, like they have been doing.
I mean, it's hololive the amount of people who can't launch a successful singing career is very limited. But for me Sui-chan is on the top of the list. Unfortunately I just don't enjoy Risu's voice that much but that'll probably change as this video will probably redirect her karaoke compilations to me. For now she just a walking deez nuts joke to me.
Risu mentioned that she's trying every single genre. Imagine if she focus on one. And some facts about her equipment, She's using a plug and play USB microphone that compresses her head voice. I hope she invest on an analog with an interface soon. The true quality of her voice were showcase on the HoloFes and the TH-cam weekend cause she's performing on a studio.
I love the voices of Kobo and Gura. Gura has a pleasant voice, her voice is cute and sweet. Kobo can use several musical instruments and has a cute and cheerful voice. I think they can match very well
I don't even watch Kobo, but the more I see, the more I start to like her. She knows how to deal with haters, she has that super adorable kusogaki feel, and now she also can sing?
@@HappyBeezerStudios she are the genius on music and she can play like 7 instrument?, And even she can play 4-5 instrumen in once and of course with singing too, Kobo Can create a music in a minute too like a song for Sana
I knew risu was good but that final risu song blew me out of the water. Ive been singing since i was a tiny child and while you can definitely hit those notes with some practice, it is NOT easy to do them that cleanly. Keeping clear pitch, changing from head to chest voice quickly, and making it sound powerful but not straining is some great stuff
for real whenever kobokan singing its like bless for me, the official one kinda suck comparing it when she sing casually with her guitar or another instrument
You know what, I've only known this vtuber world for a few months. Even though I'm Indonesian, I only knew Kobo at first because I saw it often on my Tiktok fyp. Until the time Kobo collab with This NNN squirrel, I thought she was just a squirrel that often talk about that 'kind' of jokes, not until I heard her song and the clip where she sings. Always gives me goosebumps when I hear her sing Alice&u...
My favourite part of IRyS’s singing is that certain tone that happens when she sings and it just sounds so DAMN CLEAR it’s like the quiet after heavy rains. I hear similar with Gura, but her range isn’t as big as IRyS so it’s more limited. That 3D with Sora was absolutely NUTS. And yes, Risu is severely underrated as a singer. I never miss her Karaokes.
Then you never hear jp talents do karaoke, suisei azki>irys Gura only good with slow song, kobo is what gura when she have big vocal range, she just need more experience
I don't really agree to the other girls' ranking but Risu deserves the no.1 spot. I've been a fan of her voice since the 3rd holofest concert. It still gives me the goosebumps when she sings Alice&U.
Yeah me too, for me Kanata, Flare and Chloe was really monstrous in their control, breathing and range... As for me, Kanata and Chloe was no joke at all... But its ok, im not a professional to comment on anything 🤣🤣🤣 but i was shocked they got no place on this
for a while i thought risu deserves no 1 spot.. but i change my mind suisei is still no 1, because risu still needs training and practice. i watch the holo id 3d live and i think she got potential to be no 1, suisei definitely got better training and practice.
Idk if I can agree with everything on here. But what I can say, is that hearing Risu sing for the first time at holofes last year was one of the most incredible experiences ever. Not knowing she could sing like that and then hearing her original, it took my breath away. Her voice is incredible, she deserves the top spot for sure.
Risu or Suisei is the best... Gura has the most "soul" by far, followed by Mumei. I drive for a living get antsy 9 or 10 hrs, since I listen to the girls through the speakers, 15 plus hours like nothing. Never heard of a Vtuber til last Christmas Gura, came on my Auto Play, I had to put karaoke Christmas to hear some new voices than the same for a decade, most even more.
@@ahoyforsenchou7288 They're all good, Just don't speak the Japanese, but it does sound good sung. But Senchous rap line in No Sachi Happy, that's what I need more of😎
@@catdog1584 its hard tho. Cover just a normal company who doing business. Tbh SEA market not give them much income. At least cover doesnt have any big competitor on SEA region anymore.
Its an objectively bad song. Like a lot of hololive originals lately. I'm really starting to wonder who the hell they have running production over there. Risu isn't bad, but the song itself is bad. Not that I expect someone with Brony in their name to know good music. Risu is lovely, but there are songs that really could do her justice, and if she got some help with her english she could absolutely shine. At least if she intends to sing in english going forward.
Already mentioned by Risu herself. She asked professional training. Trainer : "There is nothing I can do to teach you". She is already too strong singer. And will get stronger on November (Non-stop Nut November).
Massive respect for having Risu where she is. It's really easy to mistake/underestimate her as being just lol nuts meme but those times she gets serious on vocals she's absolutely a sheer force of nature in hololive. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
In a stream, Risu said her vocal trainer was amazed and really surprised that she's so good at controlling her voice and acknowledged her relentless hard work. Risu definitely deserve the recognition she received now and more
the only thing that debuffing Risu's singing ability the most is actually her equipment lmao, she seriously need a new mic and some other new equipments as well
I'm not surprised IrYs ranked so high, she was kinda hired on for her singing talent after all, and I'm glad that Aki-chan at least got an honorable mention, I always enjoy hearing her sing and make her singing streams where I can.
I personally disagree with any ranking that does not specify the bubble. It needs the bubble, since that's how we narrow it down. For example, "Top 10 most powerful singers", "Top 10 most rangeful singers", "top 10 most creative singers", "top 10 most iconic singers", it needs to be more specific.
@@circularangle4324 Exactly! That's what i was talking about. They each have their own areas of specialty and it causes so much discussion if they are just labeled them as 'the top'. So yes, maybe group them according to their similarities and then rank them that will be so interesting to watch
It's cuz there's already a standard on what bring a good vocalist is. You can always say they each have their own personal vocal range and etc but at the end of the day those standards for being a good vocalist has already been made and set up to determine how good a singer already is. It's like trying to compare Billie Eilish and Celine Dion when we all know Celine Dion is on a whole different level than Billie Eilish although they're both being called vocalists. Sometimes one person will be more vocally talented than the other but there's no issue with that since music is a lot more diverse now
As a Hooman who has never missed any of Mumei’s karaoke stream, I don’t think she is better than Gura, Azki, Sora, etc. in terms of technique and stability. She has the potential to be one of the best on this list but not for now. (but I still like her voice the most tbh)
Mumei has such a good sound! The potential is definitely there but she needs to refine it. Also she tends to be jokey and trolling sometimes in the middle of songs :P
@@XxSakFexX Calli's a rapper. She can write, she can perform, she can pump up the crowd, and her style and attitude nets her songs the highest views of any Holomem. She's a great singer and an enormous success. But as a pure vocalist, the ability to open your mouth and have angel music come out, she is definitely not on this level. The best example is Calli and IRyS singing Yoru ni kakeru together. Calli sings the first line, IRyS sings the second, and that is enough to show the difference.
I always love to see fans in the community who put out ellaborate and well edited videos that show their dedication and diligence as well as their passion for Hololive and its talents. So, all power to you man, keep going! I'm hyped for that HoloDad's video! ...Buuut I have to say that in this specific video, less would have been more. Im talking specifically about the five categories "Chest voice", "Falsetto", "Control", "Breathing" and "Range". Which are, on their own, very well thought out. Yeah sure, one might argue that breathing and control are basically two sides of the same coin, yade yade yade, but over all, this is a great way to break down a singing voice and to make it easier digestable to fans. Also the graphics look really neat and add to the aestetics of the video. My problem with it is that it implies professional authority that I...(no offense) don't really see in you. I grew up in a houesehold with professional musicians and have still have a lot of friends, family members and acquaintances who live from and by beeing knowledable about or talented in music, so I picked up enough to know that you don't really did a professional analysis of their voices but rather approached the topic from an amateur's perspective. Which is also, on it's own, absolutely valid, absolutely fine. You don't have to have an university degree to talk about your favorite singers. The thing that bothers me is that these categories look very professional-ish, but then you primarily present your opinions. I think it's not really clear that you don't really try to cover the topic from an expert's point of view (which is absolutely possible by the way, the ytuber "Ravenclaw reacts" made some really profound and far reaching analysises of Hololive voices and songs), so that some viewers might interprete the ranking as more objective and musically profound as it is, which is kind of a problem. I don't think you did any of that intentionally, but I thought I could try to explain to you why, in my opinion, you got some more backlash for this video than you had anticipated, especially since you alredy expressed discomfort about the amount and intensity of it. Most fans take a "I like IRyS singing better than Suisei's, but that's just my opinion" much better than a "IRyS is objectively better than Suisei and here is the data to back it up. Falsetto, Control, Breathing, the numbers don't lie, Suisei 44, IRyS 46!". That might not be what you tried to express, but I think that is how a lot of people took it. Well I hope you don't take offense in my comment, and if you do....eh, I tried. Have a good week anyway and don't beat yourself up about it. Cheers!
Thanks, imma use this to check out the ones that I haven’t watch. A really good recommendation vid. The “top 10” is always gonna be subjective so no need to argue over it
@@s2-railgun718 until recently. I know that. But the video is all from long time ago, and she also said that her vocal coach doesn't really give her many input when streaming truck driving lol
@@kaigaikarano i belive there would be a lot of improvement. the difference between vocal coach and naturally a good singer is vocal coach actually know how sound is produce and naturally good singer without training do it instinctively. having vocal coach for a good singer made you understand more about your own sound character and how you actually make your sound. TL;DR having a professional vocal coach increase your consistency as a good singer.
I know everyone has got their "what about this one" argument, but I honestly think Okayu deserves more attention for her singing. I realize her style of singing doesn't blow people away the way people with higher range do, but Okayu has come a long ways from her earlier days (where she was honestly already better than she credited herself for). She demonstrates good control and accuracy and a great understanding of her own range. Her range is actually more impressive than most people will realize, it's just not as high as a lot of the more popular singers. I don't know where she would fall on this list but still I wanted to highlight her a bit.
Okayu and Watame not being on here is wild, but for Watame they said they couldn't find enough archived karaoke of her (despite her having well over 100 different ones). It's very possible they just didn't look at Okayu at all. There are a lot of problems with the list.
@@tusky4512 To be fair, it's never going to be possible to make a list that's impartial and covers everyone well enough to everyone's liking, and also there are simply too many incredibly talented holomembers to narrow it down like this without some of them being cut.
I feel like the pitch and timing aspects of control can even be a 10 for Okayu sometimes. They might be the most important categories if you want to be "objective" but many people put more importance on the rest.
okayu is one of the few to tackle some tough songs and nail them. watame was a surprise find as her channel is entirely JP so searching it for covers and karoke was a pain, well worth the digging tho. hololive has a lot of talnt but there's a reason i only paid attention once there was an EN division
i really love Kobo's singing voice, but when she does it with her acoustic Guitar, the song legit became 10 times better. tho this video is only talking about voice
@@txlegion5746 i don't think you understand my comments. Legit here doesn't mean i'm saying the other's voice isn't legit, what i'm saying is, Kobo with Guitar is legit better than Kobo doing normal karaoke.
@@txlegion5746 never have i seen someone get so mad over an opinion about vtuber singing ability. Just because i said i like kobo voice, doesn't mean i'm saying the others are bad. I just personally like kobo's more, especially if she use her guitar for acoustic karaoke.
As Sora fan, it's nice seeing her singing appreciated. Her voice is… unlike other singers and yet that got me hooked. A criticism for her is that her covers are less popular songs, and her karaoke setlist is limited in terms of selection, presentation, and frequency despite singing is her greatest asset. I think Sora-chan can become more successful if she covers more songs during her karaoke streams, especially other Holomem’s covers and originals.
@@beavisbunghole Yeah, all that weight on top will make you really solid in many different ways. Jokes aside, she has had classical training, so solid is something she can do easily.
Risu is known for being really good at singing despite never having any professional vocal training. . In a stream, Risu said her vocal trainer was amazed that she's so good at controlling her voice and acknowledged her relentless hard work. Risu definitely deserve the recognition she received now and more . Also, she can go from Goddess voice Celine Dione-tier to a rockstar Hayley Williams-tier without so much difficulties
speaking of range. I believe no one in Hololive yet can beat Risu on doing a multiple character persona. The switch between Risu gremlin voice and Ayunda mommy voice always so seamless and when she utilize it in singing it always blow my mind.
Speaking voice and singing voice are not the same. We can typically speak in at least 2 octaves, 1 higher and 1 lower than we can sing in. Risu hasn't shown an ability to sing in her mommie voice or anything close to it. Until she does...
The deep voice of Chloe when she put the mask is the most amazing, she deserve a top spot here. Other member is Marine she has actually a MV near to 9 million of views and top in iTunes and Spotify rankings.
All the comment already said it, the list is almost neutral except for irys and mumei, that cap, i will switch mumei with kanata and irys with suisei/azki, azki should be top 3,irys 5
@@jakin1719 Sorry, but Mumei in that kind of voice she has, and the kind of music that voice is good for is top tier, not in Hololive, but worldwide. Singing skills have to do something with it, am I right? She's not professional... yet, but we can't just ignore the facts and drop her out of the list. I'm not completely sure, since I haven't seen a Kanata singing stream yet, so you can be right about her, but Mumei has so much potential, I don't see why she shouldn't be in a top10 Holo singers list.
yeah, i have no idea where the scaled numbers came from given the voices played have obvious differences in "cleanliness". I'll admit that i'm not a fan of "warble" voices but even with that bias in mind some of the "low" scorers are the active singing talents with numerous credits but a few of the higher marked people are very much on the climb up to the confidence and control needed for releasing successful regular covers/songs/casual-singing-streams. Talented certainly, but still undergoing-refinement.
The list here is good, based on the Values presented here. But I do think the Point System still lack some more important values such as:- 1. Diction (enunciation of sound and words, related to language use in the song) - Diction is much depended on mastery of language. If a Japanese language beginner try to sing Japanese song, they may score low in this Value because they may fail to pronounce each word with distinct meaning. Also the word spelled in the song need to be clear (no mumble, voice need appropriate volume at all time) *eg. Gura scored HIGH in Diction (English), while Mumei scored LOW in Diction (English) //Mumei always mumble, and her song's word is hard to understand. The Diction can be different for person on each language: eg. Calliope Mori (HIGH Diction in English) (LOW Diction in Japanese) 2. Dynamics (ability to use different vocal register in the right place and time, and maintain it) - Dynamics is the mastery of voice, and the pillar of singing. *eg. Risu have HIGH in DYNAMICS (she can sing low and high note with proper volume, and she can use MIXED sounds to change her register without any problem) 3. Artistry (ability to interpret and deliver the song as the lyric intended, exude emotion and passion, and originality of singer) - Artistry is the Value which made audience feels for the song sung by the singer. It's also how the singer manage to own the song covered by them. *eg. Suisei and Calli scored HIGH in ARTISTRY (Suisei's ORIGINAL JP song is high in musicality, and suit her voice power and dynamic, while Calli's ORIGINAL EN song is delivered in dynamic tempo and rhythm of rap, and no dull moment) *eg. Nakiri Ayame's cover song, グッバイ宣言 (Goodbye Declaration), is also HIGH in ARTISTRY (she own the song with her sultry voice), Suisei's PHONY cover also achieved HIGH in ARTISTRY (she use her dynamic voice to totally make an original song). The audience response also very high for both songs by the count of their views.
@@synnell88 1. Is it really that matter? I personally listen to a lot of songs and don't know the language (including Japanese). What about artificial languages (Like in Nier Automata OST)? What about scat singing (Like Ella Fitzgerald)? 2. Isn't it like a "voice range" thing? You can't have high dynamics if you don't have a good voice range. 3. This is a good metrics in theory but it looks very subjective and hard to measure honestly.
@@NaoNakashima Based on multiple singing judging system, the point system is roughly like this: 1. Vocal (50% on stage performance / 60% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5, 6 point) - Vocal Quality (Tonality) - Vocal Mastery (Proficiency of using Vocal Register and Vocal Technique such as Vibrato, Distortion/ Growl, Voice crack, Flip, Melisma, Legatto, Belting etc.) - Range (can hit High or Low notes with clarity, glide between notes) - Dynamics (use of volumes in variety) - Timbre - Pitch (intonation control) - Rhythm/Timing (rhythmic accuracy or liberty of tasteful manner) - Breath Support - Skill (use of proper technique and right placing of Vocal Register, Vocal Technique such as Vibrato, Distortion/ Growl, Voice crack, Flip, Melisma, Legatto, Belting etc.) - Diction (correct pronunciation of words, clarity) (related to language mastery) 2. Artistry/ Showmanship (30% on stage performance / 35% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 6, 7 point EXCEPT Expressiveness and Song Selection) - Expressiveness (convey emotion and passion) (*value between 1 to 9, 10 point) - Musicality (art of deliver aesthetic nuance in phrases) - Lyrical Ability (art of interpretation and delivery of song lyrics, emphasis on certain words) (related to language mastery) - Song Selection (song appropriation for the singer) (*value between 1 to 3, 4 point) - Originality/ Individuality (creation of unique style and character, make song's their own) 3. Entertainment (20% on stage performance / 5% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5 point) - Charisma (X-factor, personality appeal) - **Audience Appeal (connect with audience) - **Confidence (stage command) - **Choreography (movement and dance on stage) **ONLY FOR STAGE PERFORMANCE - not applicable outside stage This is what the actual Values use by pro judges, and even I'm not brave enough to try use it to evaluate any singer because I'm not studying any proper music class. For your question about Diction, it is mostly related to clarity of sound and consistency of the pronunciation, so language mastery is not a high factor. Any person can sing a song without an understanding of the song's language, it just they are confined to original song and incapable to make their own spin on the song. And the point value I use is just rough average of all point system I have found, so it can be change or the value itself can be categorized in different category. Feel free to try it yourself.
I appreciate the ranking, but I'm still gonna love hearing them all sing. Even the most scuffed karaoke is a heartwarming experience. At least now I can share this with some of my friends who aren't down the rabbit hole far enough when they want to know who the better singers are in Hololive
Yeah, I think a lot of tier list are used to attack or compare between talents, and I really hate that kind a thing because it's subjective and even most scuffed karaoke can be an amazing experience.
Its hard to make a list because theres so many Hololive talents that are good, but i can respect this because Risu's getting the recognition she deserves. A lot of the hololive talents goes unnoticed because of the more popular talents, which is a shame.
Maybe who's not often watching risu singing live didn't realized that holoID cover latest risu used 2 type of her voices, just amazed how she can used her 2 type voices so gorgeously at singing
I'm JP listner. Of course all selected members are good singer. But especially Suisei, AZKi, Moona and Risu are not only good singer but also have their own world I think.
I agree, also one thing that's worth to mention is stamina, Moona's karaoke streams lasts for eternity, she spends hours and hours singing while putting her soul into each one. Suisei when she's emotional is a monster too, usually she's more composed, but in that Coco's graduation stream it was a performance to remember for life.
I agree with the vocal metric you used to judge the singing. What it doesn't score & factor is song/genre selection. For example, it's pretty much agreed that Gura's voice is amazing for folk & jazz songs. She isn't a powerhouse belter like Moona but everyone knows she's pleasant to the ear especially with them slow jams. Also, while I think Risu has the most natural singing talent among them, she lacks training & experience. It's that rawness that made me a fan. Unlike Suisei who is clearly trained but with a much more limited range, she makes most of her talents to the max. Plus more, she has stage experience. I know these kind of things are subjective & some fans may not agree, but this is pretty spot on!
I havent heared moona sing yet... holy molly that powerfull voice, imagining her getting even better and better over time. gives me goosebumps. All in all a very good video, i dont know much about music, but the way you ranked them was good to understand in my opinion :3
Marine is definitely talented, especially when you consider how challenging her vocal style is. I know people joke around imitating Marine's voice but the reason they enjoy doing that is because Marine's vocal style is actually difficult to reproduce and maintain. For these streamers who play around with their voices all the time it's a challenge.
She’s talented but on her unique way, her unique MV style and voice hits hard. But when it comes to general, another is better than her. But Marine is debatable one of the most successful lewd-style vtuber, she’s also multi talented and have wide range of voices.
A bit surprised to see that Technique wasn't a part of the criteria. There are definitely people in hololive who have a better technique than the others.
I think that too. Like technigue when you must change from mid to high or mid to low. That's important point make singer can flexible to sing a lot different type song.
@@wuoshi1004 I would like to say it's the opposite, control is part of the technique. Technique basically includes their vibrato, diction, way of singing, adlibs, etc. while control basically means if they have a shaky voice, breath control, and other things that include the steadiness of the vocals; basically their technique of singing. So yes, I would like to say Technique is one of the major components of vocals.
Finally after all these years someone realizes how amazing risu is. Not to mention that she has never had any formal vocal lessons, well she did have just recently. Just imagine what she can do after being trained by a professional. She will have more control and be consistent with her voice.
Whoa, been seeing a lot of comments about Risu but after watching this till the end i gotta agree that she deserves the top spot here. Really though i didn't see that one coming from her
The squeaky at no.4 and Kobo's appearance afterwards had me in stitches until her vocals happened, which caught me off guard cause I've never heard her sing before (I mostly only saw her playing Valorant lmao) Everyone in this list sounds great, regardless of the ranking. I'm glad I can add more girls to listen to.
I think Risu is an amazing singer and all but her consistency varies a lot, although I can't say much considering her karaoke streams are always not that serious
Nothing tops Gura when it comes to soulful acoustic songs IMO. Make her sing stuff like Jason Mraz songs she would absolutely melt your heart, but for other genres she is inconsistent.
Almost no one is talking about Mumei’s voice as 6 on this list. Such “girl next door” nostalgia vibes coming from her. It’s special. Also Moona has an absolutely powerful voice
A few error text here and there but hey overall great video I would say there are a few x factors that elevate each singers here of what I have seen anyways during a live concert setting Sora usually have the best command in overall performance probably due to sheer experience compared to the others. She might not be the strongest vocalist but she has a few tricks up her sleeves like the lyric vocalization alteration and audience cheers to keep things fresh. (also her penchant for singing vocaloid songs in their origical key is a bit insane) Irys has the advantage of being native in both Japanese and English making her transition and pronunciation of both language better than most when involved in songs that contain those 2 languages Azki....I legit cannot explain how but has incredible ability to pump her music full of emotion that can bring you to tears. Probably just to the way that she use her breathing and how she sings in general and of course Suisei with her insane singing that gives her a sense of superiority and just full of technique it's quite great overall everyone in an amazing singer in their own way
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, apologies for the text errors! You're definitely right about the uniqueness of each Holomem. Everyone has such different genres, well aside from muimei and Gura who scare me with how similar their voices are 🤔

And seeing Moon and Risu in this really made me feel like a proud ID supported lol, they really shined at the stage xd
Ever since I heard Risu performing at YT Music Weekend, I knew she had the most powerful stand. That little squirrel was singing the hardest of Hololive songs with such ease. She has my utter respect.
And yet it was Moona that got a unanimous vote from the other ladies and staff and 88% of the audience vote for the best performance at the HoloFestival. Weird.
i'm about to made an argument about "where's Risu?", but actually she is in the first podium, glad to watch/hear it that somebody really know her true talent well, this video is just poped up in my youtube feed by now.. that's why its late for me to know this video and comment about it, good job mate for making this video.. my oshi is Risu Suisei and Moona, glad to know them in the top 10 list 💝
I'm surprised at the lack of Aqua, even with in the mentions. She doesn't go for the more 'angelic', for a lack of a better word, that the others on the list have, she goes more cutesy. But she goes hard on the music side of things, lots of singing streams and covers\originals. She is one of the more music focused hologirls i feel. Might just be my bias talking but ehh
@@margarafrancisca7618 Good point on Polka but i do know some people who find her voice offputting, so i can understand that. Personally i wish Flare got more love in these things, but then i'm drawn more to deeper voices in general and Holo is dominated more by kawaii uguu types
risuuu, my precious sqrl 😢 i fuckin love her, i pray for her success. She's so talented, but i just don't think she got a good marketing like her JP/EN counterpart while a lot of her song are on japanese or english, and also most of her money goes to her mom who had diabetes. But i heard her financial status are getting better, i hope she can start making music even more and get better marketing and more spotlight
I fell in love with Irys on concept alone, but when she opened her mouth and started singing she became my favorite. Gura has always been a stellar singer and i'm super proud of her. All these girls do great.
risu's stellar stellar cover is still one of the best Hololive song cover for me, alice&u still easily gives me the goosebumps every time i listen to it. thanks to YAGOD for bringing us this squirrel-shaped Celine Dion. reminds me of her latest talks about what would happen if she doesn't get into Hololive, her family financial struggle, that her parents might have sent her to marriage. from zero to a diva. marvelous, marvelous..
Nice video and I look forward to your Dad's video. IMO I think Gura has limited ranged but her emotion and control is what puts her pretty high for me. While Mumei has great range and good emotions but control is not as polished. Suisei and Towa are of course the Powerhouses with Risu and Moona right behind them. Irys and Sora are also amazing. There are so many I like.
Thank you for watching! I think your analysis is spot on, those are the exact things I cams across after literally listening to 500 songs from Hololive members singing. I'll try to make the dad's compilation enjoyable!
Yeah I have to say the difference between Gura and Mumei is particularly noticeable. Not saying I'm an expert on the subject but I did have many years training as a singer, Gura is a natural talent and skilled singer who can smoothly transition throughout her range, whereas Mumei is still rough. She's got great potential but imo has a ways to go before overtaking Gura as a singer.
There are better technical singers than Gura and Mumei, but they put so much emotion into their singing. They're my favorites in all Hololive, not because they're technically precise or powerful singers, but because they are so good at singing expressively. They make you ~feel~ the music. When they sing a quiet sad song, you lean forward in your seat. I need to catch more Kobo karaoke. She's got it too. And of course Sui-chan is literally the one who got me into Hololive so...
You know that's a good catch on Chloe. I haven't heard a lot of hers yet but what I have heard from her has been very high quality. I'm surprised I havent seen comments talking about her here. And the other three I already emphatically agree with definitely top rank quality.
Is it possible to upload another video going over exactly why the values were picked? At least for top three, it would be interesting to see your thought process on the rankings
I'll definitely think about it www I might do a quick short video if that's okay, but basically the values came after a lot of research and data collecting. I probably went through over 500 songs sung by the Hololive members, listened to their strengths and weaknesses and used 1-10 to not over complicate the values. Originally I was going to do 10 categories and tried it but it became too overwhelming with numbers. If I have time I'll definitely try to upload an explanation video. Thank you for watching the video!
To not only come up with a ranking system but also to go through their streams and unarchived karaokes in order to rank idols with said system ... excellent job! Great video (And thank you for providing the sources of the clips)
12:12 - Suisei's score: CV 9, F 8, R 9, B 10, C 8; 12:25 - Final Score: 44. Understandable. 13:43 - IRyS's score: CV *7*, F 9, R 9, B 9, C 9; 13:52 - Final Score: 46... How? I noticed the chart is actually better stated, but it sure got me confused seeing the numbers didn't add up the Final score. Personal opinion, I would give her the 10 on Control, not in Breathing. But she does have a great breathing technique. Might be a little biased, but I'd still put Suisei over her. Still, the showcases have really good reference, so I kind of agree with you on it (or maybe more like a tight tie). Last, I'm kinda surprised Kanata wasn't even a honorable mention (Her lungs and breathing are impressive) and, I also noticed some mistakes about the Gen on the honorable mentions. All in all, I'm honest when I say I enjoyed the compilations and appreciate the effort you put on it. Great job, buddy.
Just me being annoying, but Irys Numbers are wrong :D, 7+9+9+9+9= 43, from the Final Score Screen you probably meant Breathing 10 instead of 9 and Chest Voice 9 instead of 7
You're right www Definitely not annoying, I appreciate the fix. I might make a separate video tomorrow to just explain the values at this point tbh. Thank you so much for watching!
Watame not being in here is really weird. Especially since the given reason is apparently not being able to find enough archived karaoke. That's right. WATAME doesn't have enough despite having well over 100 different karaoke streams which is probably much higher than anyone else in Holo. That's really frustrating and makes me wonder if they even looked.
Ah, a fellow Moona bias. Even though i'm not really familiar with the singing techniques and terms, it's really interesting to see how you put the score on them. To be honest, i don't really like to put a ranking on the girls since they have their own strength and weakness, but i'm happy that 5 of my favorites got on your ranklist. You even put the debut Risu, i still remember it because it's the day i fell to the rabbit hole, lol. A little bit of correction, Aki Rose is from HoloJP 1st gen, and you might want to add GOD as one of Matsuri alias. Great job on the vid and analysis.
1. Let me start by saying that ranking Hologirls voice with numbers like this is quite arbitrary, unless you (or anyone, really) are someone who has a real experience and knowledge in the field. Everyone have their own favorites and personal rating, but I'd rather see you to explain in your subjective terms why you think their voices are great rather than putting numbers that are based on shaky evaluation. For example, Sora actually has insane range (especially shown when she flexed her experience in classical music). Evaluating her range with 7 is just...why? 2. Subjective rating also ensures some details that could not be evaluated by 5 ratings alone would be included. Towa for example: most people would include the uniqueness of her voice timbre as one of main factor in liking her voice, also time is an important factor since she actually has grown a lot as a singer. 3. Some mid rankings shenanigans aside (*cough* Mumei), I... Still can't rank current Risu to be above Suisei yet. Suisei has professional singer technique level now, has tons of live singing experience, has bunch of god tier OG songs, and also has evolved quite a lot as a singer. Risu simply does not have the situation, environment, fund, and experience to get to that level *yet*. This is coming from someone who has Risu as the only Oshi. 4. Also: I know getting good archive of Risu singing is hard, but I would never add her singing of Bohemian Rhapsody as sample of her good singing, as that was 100% joke pick and she didn't even really remember the song to begin with lol. The scary part of Risu is actually her potential rather than her current (publicly available) singing archives. As some samples of her potential, I would suggest listening to her singing Paramore songs (I swear her voice is perfect for rock/emo songs), power ballads (her Egoist singing are *chef kiss*), or some super hard songs like Mili's songs or any of her Nier singings.
Between things like getting the gens wrong and stuff like leaving Watame off for the reason of her not being able to "find enough reference material of her singing" it probably tells a lot. Yes, Watame with well over 100 karaoke episodes and two albums doesn't have enough reference material.
Opinion may differ, but I think instead of making top 10 best hololive singers and putting them in order from "worst" to best and giving them statistics which the creator probably doesn't know jackshit about, it'd be better to make 10 best hololive singers in no particular order or just 10 most favorite hololive singers instead.
From what I know in judging system, there are 3 main category for evaluating a singer: 1. Vocal (50% on stage performance / 60% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5, 6 point) - Vocal Quality (Tonality) - Vocal Mastery (Proficiency) - Range (can hit High or Low, glide between notes) - Dynamics (use of volumes in variety) - Timbre - Pitch (intonation control) - Rhythm/Timing (rhythmic accuracy or liberty of tasteful manner) - Breath Support - Skill (proper technique, vibrato) - Diction (correct pronunciation of words, clarity) (related to language mastery) 2. Artistry/ Showmanship (30% on stage performance / 35% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 6, 7 point) - Expressiveness (convey emotion and passion) - Musicality (art of deliver aesthetic nuance in phrases) - Lyrical ability (art of interpretation and delivery of song lyrics, emphasis on certain words) (related to language mastery) - Song selection (song appropriation for the singer) - Originality/ Individuality (creation of unique style and character, make song's their own) 3. Entertainment (20% on stage performance / 5% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5 point) - Charisma (X-factor, personality appeal) - *Audience appeal (connect with audience) - *Confidence (stage command) - *Choreography (movement and dance on stage) *only for stage performance The system above is to evaluate 1 song only, even I don't know how to calculate overall ability of a singer (average? best performance? top 3 performance?). And I'm not a judge myself, so I may not capable to evaluate any performance with confidence and show any track records to prove my result.
I'm not sure about 2nd - 10th, We can't just rank them without an actual audition in this case. But when i heard the 1st rank voice, risu really gives me goosebumps, such a raw talent, if she really wasn't trained before join hololive, and it's like she can still get better if she continues to train. Even though there's an audition, im pretty sure she'll be in the top three at least.
compared to "ayunda" voice Liz have stronger vocals and stamina. but Ayunda risu have her own identical voice characteristics like changing 4 different types of vocals, and every vocal type have good tone
I keep forgetting how much versatility Risus voice has. It was established when she ate spicy ramen and i just keep forgetting that she sticks with a high pitched voice over her normal voice. Anyway, i loved the editing of this video, good job Tawnky!
AZKi still my favourite there is alot of good singer in hololive, but AZKi singing voice, music choice, her song just perfectly calibrated with my soul
Yes, she is one of my many fav. too, i love her GitS - Rise cover, or her original song afterglow, but there is many. Some wierd reasion a lot of hololive members originals or covers don't recognise by youtube and don't recommend me even when its fresh, like Nene's Bump of Chicken, only found out weeks leater.
I'm agree with Moona score for control. Sometime Moona lost her control when she sing. If Moona can improve that point, atleast she #2. And for Kobo, she was do the best every time for "reach" her senpai. #4 for sing, but for me she #1 for musical skill. Risu to strong. She is LAST BOSS. 😅
Hey Tawn, you seem to have made a mistake in IRyS' section. At 13:40 you have her listed as 7, 9, 9, 9, 9 (which would be 43 total) but at 14:00 she's listed as 9, 9, 9, 10, 9 (total 46)
1. 14:30 Aki is gen 1 2. 16:42 Okay okAY OKAY, CHILL. I GET IT 3. I think Baelz also deserves an honorable mention 4. While I completely agree with this list in terms of sheer singing ability, Mumei is still my favourite karaoke-ist
I am kinda surprised Okayu and Calli didn't make it into your top 10 nor the Honorary mentions. Nice video nonetheless. Good job dude. Btw, other song beside Alice&u that can perfectly shows how good Risu's control, range and voice is Hakujitsu. The way she sang it not long after her debut killed many Risuners back then. She changes voices multiple times so effortly. Lol. Ah, and also Flos.
Everyone loses their mind when there are candidates whose ranks are swapped or not even included in the list, but we all have to agree that Ayunda Risu deserves rank 1
@@lolcall5295 tbh its not even close, Risu is like miles ahead imho. Sing every kind of song, from the cutest song to the craziest ( growling and stuff ). And probably able to sing better than Suisei on her own genre of music also. I mean trust me, just watch her singing stream and compare to Suisei.
@@yuza1726 already did. Nothing compares to suisei. Been that way for ages. I've watched risu since her debut you know. There's a reason why risu's singing were only really popular nowadays after the 3d debut instead of since her debut, if she really is that good everyone would've acknowledge her since long ago and not recently. Suisei is just better. Better song, better singing and probably only losing in terms of hitting higher notes.
@@lolcall5295 its because 'language barrier' and she at that time focus as meme lord... tbh holoid just really underrated... so when she make 'king' cover, that surprise everyone and the climax at 3rd holofes... if since beginning she focus on singing and debuted as holojp member, IMO she will surpass suisei
Its a good attempt in ranking them, however most of the girls have their own genre that they excel in where those stats do apply. The moment they change genre you can clearly tell its not their forte. There are exceptions to the rule though, which makes those who can sing multiple genres a much better singer imo. Which is why I mostly put Risu, Moona, Suisei, AZKi at the top of everyone. They arent limited to what type of song they can excel in.
@@TheRealVordox Sora has a really nice voice, but compared to the others i mentioned, she's lacking in power. Majority of the time she has to go falsetto to reach high notes, whereas the others can reach it with their head voice/chest voice. Actually, the fact Moona got such a low score in control here is appalling. Even Suisei admited she cant do Moona's sustained power high notes, and you cant do that without amazing voice control
@@TunesByAI2024 what I noticed from Moona. more powerful the song is, brighter she could performed. but at the upbeat song, Moona had a draw back with it. her control and breath probably become the major issue in this type of song. what made me more certain is, she actually trained hard for this issue. but that's a small matter the fact of she could stand along with hololive member who once a singer specialist unit is awesome. she is the only one who not come from singing unit at Starflower group.
@@ranapriliaful True, she excels at slow songs and no one can beat het at powerful songs. JPop isnt really her forte, it is noticeable that she struggles with it, but English Pop she has no issues in singing.
Yep, for example, there is this one niche absolutely no one can beat this one person at in Hololive: Akirose. To the point that Risu even brought up Ayunda at the same time to capture Shallys' magic. No one has the "folklore singing" style of Aki, for example the unusual pronunciations and switching quickly to a breathy projection back to normal, again and again. It has been an "identity" of hers.
I honestly wasn't expecting moona I'll need to keep an eye out for her future karaokes, happy to see my favourite mumei here as well, fantastic list I very much agree with it

Watching her 3rd fes performance was a truly special moment. It's really no wonder Suisei called her the Celine Dion of Hololive.

I hope Risu and Moona get more chances to show off their singing skills in concerts or live 3Ds.
That's the moment where's everybody realizes that moona and risu have amazing singing voice, I remember Alice&u got a lot more views after the holofest
TOWA's birthday live is also unbelievable!

When they announced risu was there i was so exited! PEOPLE WILL GET TO KNOW ABOUT HER AWESOME TALENT!!!
I like how everyone excited about holo myth then ID came from nowhere and got all the attention. Sheesh, Risu's performance there was absolute madness.
I'm already watching Moona 3D

Risu has legitimate potential to become a music artist outside of Hololive.
Who is to say she wasn't and just turned into a vtuber
I think so...

Most of the HoloID members have caught me offguard
My favourite part of IRyS’s singing is that certain tone that happens when she sings and it just sounds so DAMN CLEAR it’s like the quiet after heavy rains. I hear similar with Gura, but her range isn’t as big as IRyS so it’s more limited. That 3D with Sora was absolutely NUTS.
And yes, Risu is severely underrated as a singer. I never miss her Karaokes.
Whenever I hear IRyS sing I often forget I'm not listening to the original version.

The “top 10” is always gonna be subjective so no need to argue over it
Sorry to all of you who tried to watch the video when it first released! It got copyright unfortunately :l
What amazing about Suisei and Risu is... BOTH IS SELF-THAUGHT
Risu was self thaught but recently she had vocal course.
@@s2-railgun718 ... i know mate
So is IRyS... basically the Top 3 lol
Yeah seriously, total crime she's not here
I feel like the pitch and timing aspects of control can even be a 10 for Okayu sometimes.

The list needs to be updated, Elizabeth has arrived
Risu was able to sing Stellar Stellar
That's enough reason to put her on Top 10 Holosingers
Until you listen her original song alice&u
Nobody survive to cover that song to get 90 score or above and without loss breath.
Excuse me, but even the ELITE can “sing” Stellar Stellar. Alive&U tho, barely anyone can cover it.
do you think she could preform pieces?
As Sora fan, it's nice seeing her singing appreciated. Her voice is… unlike other singers and yet that got me hooked. A criticism for her is that her covers are less popular songs, and her karaoke setlist is limited in terms of selection, presentation, and frequency despite singing is her greatest asset. I think Sora-chan can become more successful if she covers more songs during her karaoke streams, especially other Holomem’s covers and originals.
but that is what makes her unique and to be honest i like almost all of her cover songs and somehow i manage to recognize many of them lol
I didn't know she's so good at Opera!!! I underestimated her!!
My One word of describing Sora's singing is "Solid"
@@beavisbunghole
Yeah, all that weight on top will make you really solid in many different ways.
Jokes aside, she has had classical training, so solid is something she can do easily.
Her cover of pretender are very good..
Risu is known for being really good at singing despite never having any professional vocal training.
.
In a stream, Risu said her vocal trainer was amazed that she's so good at controlling her voice and acknowledged her relentless hard work. Risu definitely deserve the recognition she received now and more
.
In my opinion Polka and Lamy give her a run for her money. They don’t display their range as much but are absolutely incredible.
Speaking voice and singing voice are not the same. We can typically speak in at least 2 octaves, 1 higher and 1 lower than we can sing in.
Risu hasn't shown an ability to sing in her mommie voice or anything close to it. Until she does...
If we talking about voice acting Kroni easily can do what Risu can do. Its just that she rarely flexes it. Probably others can do it too.
even suisei ask risu to teach her XD
The deep voice of Chloe when she put the mask is the most amazing, she deserve a top spot here. Other member is Marine she has actually a MV near to 9 million of views and top in iTunes and Spotify rankings.
I agree that Risu's control score is 9, she can't control herself in front of Korone
Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🔨koraaaaa,
Kusa
don't give me her okakoro merch unboxing stream flashback please.. she was a beast during that stream xD
don't forget her birthday stream which Korone send her a video xD
Very shocking to see Kanata not even mentioned. I would put her in my top 5, but she is at least top 10.
@@Lopezprieto we’re talking about skill, not potential, it’s different
yeah, even suisei want kanata voice
@@jakin1719 Kanata is amazing even among neutrals though, her vocals can reach so high that I'm sure no other holo mems can rival it.
I don't agree with this list but thank you for putting these together! Especially since it brings more traction to Risu, who is extremely underrated.
yeah, i have no idea where the scaled numbers came from given the voices played have obvious differences in "cleanliness".
But I do think the Point System still lack some more important values such as:-
1. Diction (enunciation of sound and words, related to language use in the song)
- Diction is much depended on mastery of language. If a Japanese language beginner try to sing Japanese song, they may score low in this Value because they may fail to pronounce each word with distinct meaning. Also the word spelled in the song need to be clear (no mumble, voice need appropriate volume at all time)
*eg. Gura scored HIGH in Diction (English), while Mumei scored LOW in Diction (English) //Mumei always mumble, and her song's word is hard to understand.
The Diction can be different for person on each language:
eg. Calliope Mori (HIGH Diction in English) (LOW Diction in Japanese)
2. Dynamics (ability to use different vocal register in the right place and time, and maintain it)
- Dynamics is the mastery of voice, and the pillar of singing.
*eg. Risu have HIGH in DYNAMICS (she can sing low and high note with proper volume, and she can use MIXED sounds to change her register without any problem)
3. Artistry (ability to interpret and deliver the song as the lyric intended, exude emotion and passion, and originality of singer)
- Artistry is the Value which made audience feels for the song sung by the singer. It's also how the singer manage to own the song covered by them.
*eg. Suisei and Calli scored HIGH in ARTISTRY (Suisei's ORIGINAL JP song is high in musicality, and suit her voice power and dynamic, while Calli's ORIGINAL EN song is delivered in dynamic tempo and rhythm of rap, and no dull moment)
*eg.
@@NaoNakashima Based on multiple singing judging system, the point system is roughly like this:
1. Vocal (50% on stage performance / 60% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5, 6 point)
- Vocal Quality (Tonality)
- Vocal Mastery (Proficiency of using Vocal Register and Vocal Technique such as Vibrato, Distortion/ Growl, Voice crack, Flip, Melisma, Legatto, Belting etc.)
- Range (can hit High or Low notes with clarity, glide between notes)
- Dynamics (use of volumes in variety)
- Timbre
- Pitch (intonation control)
- Rhythm/Timing (rhythmic accuracy or liberty of tasteful manner)
- Breath Support
- Skill (use of proper technique and right placing of Vocal Register, Vocal Technique such as Vibrato, Distortion/ Growl, Voice crack, Flip, Melisma, Legatto, Belting etc.)
- Diction (correct pronunciation of words, clarity) (related to language mastery)
2. Artistry/ Showmanship (30% on stage performance / 35% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 6, 7 point EXCEPT Expressiveness and Song Selection)
- Expressiveness (convey emotion and passion) (*value between 1 to 9, 10 point)
- Musicality (art of deliver aesthetic nuance in phrases)
- Lyrical Ability (art of interpretation and delivery of song lyrics, emphasis on certain words) (related to language mastery)
- Song Selection (song appropriation for the singer) (*value between 1 to 3, 4 point)
- Originality/ Individuality (creation of unique style and character, make song's their own)
3. Entertainment (20% on stage performance / 5% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5 point)
- Charisma (X-factor, personality appeal)
- **Audience Appeal (connect with audience)
- **Confidence (stage command)
- **Choreography (movement and dance on stage)
**ONLY FOR STAGE PERFORMANCE - not applicable outside stage
This is what the actual Values use by pro judges, and even I'm not brave enough to try use it to evaluate any singer because I'm not studying any proper music class.
@@synnell88 only ELITE score negative in diction
i already know risu has such a beautiful voice since she launched the "king" cover, i love you Risuuu~
Yeah, some thinking it's kaela not risu. Lol
I'm JP listner. Of course all selected members are good singer. But especially Suisei, AZKi, Moona and Risu are not only good singer but also have their own world I think.
That's right 🤗
I agree, also one thing that's worth to mention is stamina, Moona's karaoke streams lasts for eternity, she spends hours and hours singing while putting her soul into each one. Suisei when she's emotional is a monster too, usually she's more composed, but in that Coco's graduation stream it was a performance to remember for life.
.
To be honest Marine has great sound and tone variation so I feel she should be on the list
Yes marine voice is really unique and her Vibra is really good. i think only Risu who can imitate senchou voice and very close,,
She’s talented but on her unique way, her unique MV style and voice hits hard.
Technique is just part of control.
Thats how i feel when OP put moona below kobo. But hey, at least OP got the top 1 correct.
Yeah like where's Polka, Kanata, and Okayu?
Finally after all these years someone realizes how amazing risu is. Not to mention that she has never had any formal vocal lessons, well she did have just recently. Just imagine what she can do after being trained by a professional. She will have more control and be consistent with her voice.
Whoa, been seeing a lot of comments about Risu but after watching this till the end i gotta agree that she deserves the top spot here. Really though i didn't see that one coming from her
The squeaky at no.4 and Kobo's appearance afterwards had me in stitches until her vocals happened, which caught me off guard cause I've never heard her sing before (I mostly only saw her playing Valorant lmao)

A few error text here and there but hey overall great video
I would say there are a few x factors that elevate each singers here of what I have seen anyways during a live concert setting
Sora usually have the best command in overall performance probably due to sheer experience compared to the others. She might not be the strongest vocalist but she has a few tricks up her sleeves like the lyric vocalization alteration and audience cheers to keep things fresh. (also her penchant for singing vocaloid songs in their origical key is a bit insane)
Irys has the advantage of being native in both Japanese and English making her transition and pronunciation of both language better than most when involved in songs that contain those 2 languages
Azki....I legit cannot explain how but has incredible ability to pump her music full of emotion that can bring you to tears. Probably just to the way that she use her breathing and how she sings in general
and of course Suisei with her insane singing that gives her a sense of superiority and just full of technique it's quite great
overall everyone in an amazing singer in their own way

I'm surprised at the lack of Aqua, even with in the mentions. She doesn't go for the more 'angelic', for a lack of a better word, that the others on the list have, she goes more cutesy. risu's stellar stellar cover is still one of the best Hololive song cover for me, alice&u still easily gives me the goosebumps every time i listen to it. thanks to YAGOD for bringing us this squirrel-shaped Celine Dion. reminds me of her latest talks about what would happen if she doesn't get into Hololive, her family financial struggle, that her parents might have sent her to marriage. from zero to a diva. marvelous, marvelous..
Yes I completely agree with Gura. No one can beat her when in comes to soul music. Her unique voice was practically made for it.
@@TunesByAI2024 exactly, no one beats gura in jazz especially.

Would love to see an updated version with Nerissa and ERB
There are better technical singers than Gura and Mumei, but they put so much emotion into their singing. They're my favorites in all Hololive, not because they're technically precise or powerful singers, but because they are so good at singing expressively. They make you ~feel~ the music. When they sing a quiet sad song, you lean forward in your seat. I need to catch more Kobo karaoke. She's got it too. And of course Sui-chan is literally the one who got me into Hololive so...
Kanata, Watame, Okayu and Chloe have really good voices, I think they deserve to be here too.
You know that's a good catch on Chloe. I haven't heard a lot of hers yet but what I have heard from her has been very high quality. I'm surprised I havent seen comments talking about her here. And the other three I already emphatically agree with definitely top rank quality.
Agree with Okayu and Watame, specially with Okayu, I love her voice one the best for me on Hololive.
I also think Sora should be in a higher position
Is it possible to upload another video going over exactly why the values were picked? At least for top three, it would be interesting to see your thought process on the rankings
I'll definitely think about it www
I might do a quick short video if that's okay, but basically the values came after a lot of research and data collecting.

I can never hear Suise's Stellar normally without Miko's Ste-la Ste-la popping in
U mean the official Radahn Fight Theme Song by Elite Miko?
Ayunda Risu = Celine Dion of Hololive
I was waiting for that refence www
Well Done!
Celine deeznut
Just me being annoying, but Irys Numbers are wrong :D, 7+9+9+9+9= 43, from the Final Score Screen you probably meant Breathing 10 instead of 9 and Chest Voice 9 instead of 7
You're right www
Definitely not annoying, I appreciate the fix. I might make a separate video tomorrow to just explain the values at this point tbh. Thank you so much for watching!
Arigathanks Leviax 🙏
I had no idea about Risu! I am going to have to go check out more of her singing!
What name song 17:05 ?
Alice&U
@@yuuki_0112 thankyouu
Watame not being in here is really weird. Especially since the given reason is apparently not being able to find enough archived karaoke.
That's right. WATAME doesn't have enough despite having well over 100 different karaoke streams which is probably much higher than anyone else in Holo. That's really frustrating and makes me wonder if they even looked.
As well as more originals/covers than a lot of hololive
The lists is a bit biased imo because they were very hit and miss. The uploader made it so what can we do about the list. 🤷♂️
She has the most archived karaoke streams lmao
Watame is really good
Exactly like not putting watame in top 5 should honestly be illegal
Ah, a fellow Moona bias.
Even though i'm not really familiar with the singing techniques and terms, it's really interesting to see how you put the score on them.
To be honest, i don't really like to put a ranking on the girls since they have their own strength and weakness, but i'm happy that 5 of my favorites got on your ranklist.
You even put the debut Risu, i still remember it because it's the day i fell to the rabbit hole, lol.
A little bit of correction, Aki Rose is from HoloJP 1st gen, and you might want to add GOD as one of Matsuri alias.
Great job on the vid and analysis.
aside from AkiRose, Nene was also in wrong generation there, she is part 5th gen NePoLaBo
also ASKi being written as part Hololive English also another mistake
Yassh RISUU
Between things like getting the gens wrong and stuff like leaving Watame off for the reason of her not being able to "find enough reference material of her singing" it probably tells a lot. Yes, Watame with well over 100 karaoke episodes and two albums doesn't have enough reference material.
Opinion may differ, but I think instead of making top 10 best hololive singers and putting them in order from "worst" to best and giving them statistics which the creator probably doesn't know jackshit about, it'd be better to make 10 best hololive singers in no particular order or just 10 most favorite hololive singers instead.
From what I know in judging system, there are 3 main category for evaluating a singer:
1. Vocal (50% on stage performance / 60% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5, 6 point)
- Vocal Quality (Tonality)
- Vocal Mastery (Proficiency)
- Range (can hit High or Low, glide between notes)
- Dynamics (use of volumes in variety)
- Timbre
- Pitch (intonation control)
- Rhythm/Timing (rhythmic accuracy or liberty of tasteful manner)
- Breath Support
- Skill (proper technique, vibrato)
- Diction (correct pronunciation of words, clarity) (related to language mastery)
2. Artistry/ Showmanship (30% on stage performance / 35% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 6, 7 point)
- Expressiveness (convey emotion and passion)
- Musicality (art of deliver aesthetic nuance in phrases)
- Lyrical ability (art of interpretation and delivery of song lyrics, emphasis on certain words) (related to language mastery)
- Song selection (song appropriation for the singer)
- Originality/ Individuality (creation of unique style and character, make song's their own)
3. Entertainment (20% on stage performance / 5% NOT on stage performance) (each value 1 to 5 point)
- Charisma (X-factor, personality appeal)
- *Audience appeal (connect with audience)
- *Confidence (stage command)
- *Choreography (movement and dance on stage)
*only for stage performance
The system above is to evaluate 1 song only, even I don't know how to calculate overall ability of a singer (average? best performance? top 3 performance?).
Can’t wait for an update since Liz is pretty much Holo’s professional singer now compared to other popular singers they have
I was just thinking this! My Queen would place 1st imo🥺❤️🔥
compared to "ayunda" voice Liz have stronger vocals and stamina. but Ayunda risu have her own identical voice characteristics like changing 4 different types of vocals, and every vocal type have good tone
Thats will close fight but idk who will win bcs i am not vocal couch
I keep forgetting how much versatility Risus voice has. It was established when she ate spicy ramen and i just keep forgetting that she sticks with a high pitched voice over her normal voice. Anyway, i loved the editing of this video, good job Tawnky!
AZKi still my favourite
there is alot of good singer in hololive, but AZKi singing voice, music choice, her song just perfectly calibrated with my soul
Yes, she is one of my many fav. too, i love her GitS - Rise cover, or her original song afterglow, but there is many.
Some wierd reasion a lot of hololive members originals or covers don't recognise by youtube and don't recommend me even when its fresh, like Nene's Bump of Chicken, only found out weeks leater.
because she is the best.
Lisa kouhai
I'm agree with Moona score for control.
Sometime Moona lost her control when she sing.
If Moona can improve that point, atleast she #2.
And for Kobo, she was do the best every time for "reach" her senpai.
#4 for sing, but for me she #1 for musical skill.
Risu to strong.
She is LAST BOSS.
😅
wow really my lort kobo tempestda #1 for musical skill tou say sir.
thanks you. but hmm. thanks you thanks you
The nuts destroyer 🐿️
And for Kobo, she can make a songs from nothing truly musician 🔥
Kobo talent and feel and imagination of music still over the top
@@arthemiskd1929 she out of breath to cover that song lol🤣
Hey Tawn, you seem to have made a mistake in IRyS' section. At 13:40 you have her listed as 7, 9, 9, 9, 9 (which would be 43 total) but at 14:00 she's listed as 9, 9, 9, 10, 9 (total 46)
1. 14:30 Aki is gen 1
2. 16:42 Okay okAY OKAY, CHILL. I GET IT
3. I think Baelz also deserves an honorable mention
Hahaha.. when I saw those kind of ppl. I just cant.. like almost all hololive member can sing.
Not really. Suisei is the no.1, always was, always has been and probably always will be
@@lolcall5295 tbh its not even close, Risu is like miles ahead imho.
Sora....?
@@TheRealVordox Sora has a really nice voice, but compared to the others i mentioned, she's lacking in power. Majority of the time she has to go falsetto to reach high notes, whereas the others can reach it with their head voice/chest voice.
Actually, the fact Moona got such a low score in control here is appalling. Even Suisei admited she cant do Moona's sustained power high notes, and you cant do that without amazing voice control
@@TunesByAI2024 what I noticed from Moona.
more powerful the song is, brighter she could performed.
but at the upbeat song, Moona had a draw back with it.
her control and breath probably become the major issue in this type of song.
what made me more certain is, she actually trained hard for this issue.
but that's a small matter
the fact of she could stand along with hololive member who once a singer specialist unit is awesome.
she is the only one who not come from singing unit at Starflower group.
PPT is so underrated should be on this list tbf
Btw if you want to know how good is she just search kanata unravel
Wow, I’ve never actually heard Risu sing but she’s amazing!
Azki song deserve more recognition!! Being her fans since Azur Lane collab. tbh she's the reason I fell to this rabbit hole in the first place.
I did! Can't agree more.
I did listen en and jp girls' songs very often. Also looking at how underrated id girls was back then makes me so sadge too
I think Azki - sui - Risu. . .still Lead the team for now...
Azki's voice is a direct contrast to Towa's, and that's what make them my favorites
I honestly wasn't expecting moona I'll need to keep an eye out for her future karaokes, happy to see my favourite mumei here as well, fantastic list I very much agree with it
Her MoonUtau streams are top tier, and should not be missed under any circumstances. Especially because most of them are unarchived.
Stop baiting young man 🗿🗿🗿
The only one who can get a perfect score of 50 is Yagoo himself
14:40 song name?
