- Hey Dolls! Here are my answers to your questions that you asked a few videos back. Sorry the video is so long. I tend to ramble when answering questions. Hopefully, it doesn't bother you. I tried to answer as many as I could. Let me know if you like these kind of videos J. Also, After watching the final video, I realized I didn't go into much depth about staring in Pinup Modeling. I'll be making a video specifically for it. Here are the main key points to that questions 1) Sign up for ModelMayhem.com 2) Look for a photographer willing to do trade with you. If you cannot find one then pay a top quality photographer. It's a great investment. 3) Promote your photos on Model Mayhem or post castings looking for a photographer. 4) Lastly, work your butt off. It's going to take a lot of promotion in the beginning. Eventually, your work will speak for itself.

I really loved the second question, but not as much as your answer to said question. Growing up was awkward for me, it was really hard to find myself with a lot of negativity around. I used to visit my grandma a lot growing up and I used to love to sneak in her closet and look at her wardrobe. My grandma kept everything, and she was a young women in the 40s and 50s so she had this giant closet full of real vintage dresses and I remember loving how she had a pair of shoes for every dress, a handbag for each outfit, a hat or gloves, fur shawls, cardigans, she had everything and anything you could think of. I also remember how she would get up early each morning to style her hair and do her make up. I remember asking her one day "grandma why do you get ready each day when you don't go anywhere?" (she was very disabled) and I remember her saying "It makes me feel pretty." I loved my grandmother so much, and it was really what inspired me to fall in love with that time period's fashion. Bravo to our grandparents for being awesome and thanks for the tutorials, they have, in essence, helped me feel that connection with my gandma again every time I style my hair.
Actually it was the third question, but great, very articulate comment.
I'm having a fun Monday binge watching your videos (vacation put me behind on TH-cam viewing). ;) It was fun to get to know you a bit more and I have to say one of the reasons I enjoy the heck outta you so much is that you are beautiful inside and out and I love that you are supportive to other women as well! ~hugs~
Noticed you vanished there for few weeks, but enjoyed listening to you, talking about your self and your family and stuff in general. I admire your love for the 40-50's era, wish more people would look onto the past and seen how much people enjoyed looking good back then, vs how people dress now in early years of 2000.

You remind me of me, lol I am also from Santa Ana. Went to Valley in the 80's. I am 50 y/o and been doing the retro thing most of my life. Like you, inspired by my beautiful grandmother and the movies we watched together. She taught me how to sew at a young age and there for I make a lot of my own dresses. My sons have grown up greasers and they love to see their Rockabilly momma!

I always thought you were kind of distant and cold to your followers and I never felt like there was a connection, and it kind of turned me off. I love it California girl like me and I also grew up in Santa Ana! I can totally relate to the whole watching old Spanish movies I did the same with my parents!
