Back when I played this game, I played random 95% of the time. Whenever I got Allies, I built spies and sent them to tech centers. Got Chrono Ivan, built a bunch of Chrono Legionaires, planted bombs on them and popped them behind enemy lines. AI would pop them, and explode. Did that on Brutal as well, takes a little bit of time to get going (walls needing to be popped) but it was funny af.
I don't know if it's just me, because I don't really see anyone else fully utilizing battle fortresses for defense purposes,but I usually build a couple of battle fortresses, put in either 3 guardian GI's and either 1 Seal or 2 Chrono legionaires, I usually have around 4 battle fortresses at my bases and maybe a few elsewhere, I don't really even have to worry about base defense anymore, not even kirovs or apocalypses. I don't know if people don't use it because there's better methods that save more money, but it works like a charm for me, and I just focus on doing other plans and attacks

For example if a a few Apocalypse tanks come along, the Chrono Legionaires(CL) will immobilise the first few, and your guardian GI's wont target the immobilised apocalyse tanks and go for the ones that are being blocked at the back, taking them out before they can start attacking when they are within range. As the Guardian Fortresses level up this will just make the base defense much more effective, as immobilised tanks cant attack and the Guardian GI's can focus on other threats
a couple strategy suggestions, you need to keep a spare MCV, and a couple spare engineers. Also up your army groups to at least 10 members if not 30. Sometimes I'll make aircraft armadas of 5 ships each, 8 squadrons under key command. It's the end of the world. They have much more firepower than the airforce bases. Also an army of 30-50 prism tanks is completely unstoppable by non superweapons, and usually you can move half the army out of the way.
tbh if I had those oil pumps, all I would do is make a Navy and with enough of everything you win, it's impossible to stop 10 aircraft carriers if they have aegis and dolphins and battleships to defend.
Love to see how 6 or even 8 brutals are super easy when you can build submarines or dolphines. The AI always use there superweapons on them lol. So your base is safe😀
something is wrong, brutal enemy should have superweapons within a few minutes built and ready to use within 10 min. what'd you do to alter the rules? of course you can win if they don't have superweapons ready on you.
seems easier than my AI... I play the red alert from cncnet and it has a bit better AI, it uses paratropers ANYWHERE around your base, mostly (not always) where you have less defence and you definitely don't have defence at the back. They also make ships that circle your base and attack. Not just on water. Your AI doesn't.My AI would make prism and mirage + tanks immediately and attack. Yours barely attacks. Also my AI sometimes attacks the oil derrecks in middle Granted some maps get the AI a bit buggy... but I played this map and it was a constant wave of attacks, one after the other without breaks at all
Thats because his playing 1vs5. The Enemy is a lot more aggressive and fast-paced when in 1vs7 and tend to be that way, until most resources from the map have been harvested - Even if enemy had captured a lot of oil derricks, they still tend to slow down on attacks when most ore is gone. This is why i prefer 1vs7 maps with lots of resources over anything else. The AI in this game is just too stupid to give any real effort otherwise.

You can force your AC to attack those subs and always left some few dolphins and 2 destroyer in patrol for your shipyard.
