No joke I walked into my local card shop Saturday, Jaspys in Hermosa Beach (amazing guys in there, great shop!), and they had a box of Fusion Strike sitting at $146. I told them it didn't reflect current market, and they didnt seem to mind, and gave it to me for that price. I guess hunting for sealed pokemon products at card shops specializing in mostly Sports Cards can yield unexpected results? Curious to know if anyone else has had anything similar to this happen in their collecting journey.

Just good owners, shop in my area had a umbreon vmax for $660 they priced it before it increased and was still there for $660 after it flew up. Some I guess just keep their initial price when they got it
either 250 for a box to try and pull the gengar or 250 for a slightly damaged gengar, i think its a safer bet to js buy the single at that point especially with the pullrates
In BC, Canada local marketplaces selling FS boxes for $400-$500 cad, about $300-$350 usd. It's a bit ridiculous considering I can buy singles at the store for $7 cad a pack. I guess if people paying that then can't blame the seller.

Hope some people read this comment before dropping $240 or whatever for a box of this set. That price is INSANE. Get in early and you won't have to worry about ridiculous prices like this. IMO it was always a surprise that people didn't like Fusion Strike. There are some awesome cards from very popular pokemon. I mean look at the Mew V alt art, still a severely under priced card. I realized the sets potential and thankfully kept a few booster boxes in storage, it was criminally underrated for too long. My guess its because it came out after Evolving Skies which was impossible to live up to.
Imo Fusion Strike is extremely underrated compared to Evolving skies. You have two of the most popular First Gen Pokémon featured with awesome cards, Celebi and Espeon are fantastic too. Gengar, Espeon, Mew, Celebi, Genesect, Inteleon vs. Umbreon, Rayquaza, Dragonite, Glaceon, Leafeon, Sylveon - for me it's a tie and these two are the best Pre-Brilliant Stars Sets in the SWSH-era
I've always loved Fusion Strike. Gengar Vmax, Espeon Vmax, Mew Vmax & V, Celebi V etc, alt arts and all stunning! It's so slept on, and those are the sets that explode later on.
I feel like everyone is only now starting to realize that the Sword & Shield era is fully over... And they're scrambling to get ahold of booster boxes while they're still easy to find. That said, you probably picked the one single Fusion Strike box that was actually worth opening! Insane pulls 🤯
I think the SWSH era will go down as one of the best and most popular eras for Pokemon collectors. The artwork in this era is really good and it will be forever tied to the Covid pandemic and the nostalgia of that time. If you want any SWSH booster boxes ,hunt around for a good deal while you can.
I think the whole reason this box is shooting up in price is because the Gengar alt art card is shooting up in Price like crazy the last few months I’m so happy I have one, but the centering is not great
i got a case for 550 when it came out, along with every single sword and shield set and felt nervous at the time. sold off my swsh individual display boxes to assure my cases are as close to free as possible, holding through this boom holding through any valley, keeping my cases for a long time since they are very close to free at this point
Some of the sets make sense that the booster box is priced how it is. But most sets literally just go up because of them being harder to find due to age. But I've always thought Fusion Strike had potential because of the more difficult pull rates + the nice Alternate Art cards. I am sad I didn't rebuy a fusion strike ETB just to hold onto, like I said I would, but I just had to open that one haha.
Sword and shield set is set to be one of the best creation from Pokemon Company. Fusion strike is no surprise with gengar and espeon in the set. Sky is the limit

I would think of fusion strike being really expensive not only because of alternate arts but also because of mew vmax dominating the E format in the tcg, but we're in F format now, mew's gone :(
I’m not a buyer at that price. The ONLY card I’m chasing in fusion is the gengar alt and it’s super rare to pull. I’m not spending mo eh on a box with 1-3 chase cards in the entire set worth the cost of the box.
I currently have 20 sealed booster box’s and one of them is fusion strike! Never had any luck with fusion strike, I really wanted to rip it but now with the price increases it’s not worth it!!

My very first booster box I ever opened was Fusion Strike and I pulled the Greedent V alt, Sandaconda V alt, and the Mew VMAX alt. At the time, I had no idea hits have limits and just assumed I had a “good box”.

7 dollar a pack is the regular cost in the Netherlands but in euros of course. Prizes on the other side of the pond are way better

I kinda thought that Fusion Strike was already super expensive, but then again I don’t really keep up with that sort of thing.
Some beautiful cards in the set, but 250 a box might be a little expensive.
Every year the boxes become older the prices seem to follow a trend of going up due to no longer being reprinted
