I wouldn't trust Google Maps. The parishes are usually bounded with rivers. St. David's starts here (0:43) at the bridge near the farm which is a bit before the gas station.
Found this on the Government of Grenada website: The town of Megrin was established at St David's Point in 1609 and destroyed during the 1795-96 Fedon conflict and the town never rebuilt

I just used the gas station as a landmark so you know you in St.David once you see it, yes it starts before that

After looking into it some more, I think you are right.
I enjoyed this video. After St. George's, St. David is my favorite parish. It can really benefit from a town.
