It's always been my dream to start my own small animation studio and I can't think of anyone better to emulate than Hanna Barbera. The fact that so many of their shows still hold up purely on the strength of the writing and voice acting despite not having the greatest animation is an inspiration. I know I'll never be able to compete with the big studios on animation quality but writing and voice acting I can do.
I personally saw a major difference in the Chuck Jones Tom&Jerry and artistically I’ve always loved it so much more!! Thanks for this - I really love Hanna Barbera. While a lot of their stuff is cringe and outdated - something about the colors, style and most importantly the music has always helped my anxiety. 💘 thanks again for your work and time!!
I have a theory that Tex Avery was the ghost-writer of the Tom and Jerry cartoons produced during its golden years at MGM. To back it up just look at later Tom and Jerry cartoons Hanna Barbera released and they don´t hold a candle to the classic shorts, but that´s just my take. Great video series, I discovered your channel from a comment you posted on a History of Looney Tunes video. I´ll stick around for the other parts.
This was super informative and you dealt with the sensitive topics in a truthful and mature way. It's such an interesting story in animation history and I'm glad you made this so I and others can learn about it! Amazing series 👍
0:11, What in earth? Never thought I see Loonette the Clown hold Pennywise's disembodied head while Molly looks worried right now. I would make a big deal over it, but I don't have much memories of The Big Comfy Couch.
Much thanks to your kind words, though I recommend checking out the full video it’s more detailed and the audio is a little better concerning the first and second parts
I wonder if Ch greenblatt would have a Backstory for alan ituriel's Blackhat charater? it would also be interesting if younger versions of the Cartoon network charaters would have the jellystone charaters giving a reference to Cartoon network era and also the cn city era.
i wish the internet things rn dies and we can go back in time when we never knew insta netflix and all that i wish we had staurday morning i mean the old things i cant belive im saying this and im only 15 years old
Awesome video. You're audio narration is super peaky though. I don't know what audio interface you're using, but make sure you're not in the red. Keep it out of the yellow and in the green. You can always turn it up in post. It's more important to catch a clean signal. Can't wait to see what else you'll put out

Ah... Hanna-Barbera, one of my biggest influences when it comes to cartoon animation. Their style just really appeals to me.
Wow! Great piece that explains the history very well. Fun to watch.
