More interestingly, it's a bit surprising seeing "Barnaby Jones" (a feature-length episode) getting an airing on people are awake during the 1980s (it was never as popular on Thames as fellow Quinn Martin series "The Streets Of San Francisco").
It was fairly common to use Celsius/Centigrade but also mention Fahrenheit. Nowadays you could still hear Fahrenheit verbally mentioned on forecasts, though on--screen they would normally display Celsius.
