Is that suposed to happen?! It seems to me that is a defect on that piece... how many time do you have that ava P80? Any other problems? I was wondering buy one.
The pipe cracking seems like a somewhat common problem, but it can be prevented by storing the pressure washer properly. We let it stay in a non heated garage when it was below 0 degrees Celsius, so the freezing cracked it :s Other than that, we haven't had any issues with it over the 2 years that we have had it. I recommend taking a peek at our review video of the AVA P80 ;)
Water expands when it freezes and plastic gets more brittle at low temperatures so if you leaves a pressure washer in a shed or an unheated garage in winter time then things like this will happen no matter what brand you use. The AVA has a metal pump but some (many?) cheaper pressure washers have plastic pumps so the whole machine would die in a situation like this.
yes there crap only had mine 1 yr failled 3 times keeps leaking from the zoom lance and the handle no frost so very happy shame as the powers good just leaks and you cant use it as the pressure goes

They aren't Philips. Those have an extra cross stamped in them. The ones in mine are regular crossheads.
The new Pipes are made of Aluminium
