Great success story Will. I did my success story at the end of last year and this so resonated with me. Had some symptoms return of late but Im laughing at them jumping around and then disappearing, most importantly I'm carrying on with life. I was in the gym this morning lifting weights talking out loud to my brain. So nice to listen to this and love your mindset.

I'm from Islington London. Great to hear your story. I also follow Joe Dispensa and have told many about Dr. Sarno's books. To hear you say this is what opened the doors to your TMS PDP discovery and a new life, filled me up.
The last few days sciatica has hit after stripping wallpaper, but there's a lot of emotional stuff going on. Today I went for a walk despite wanting to stay in bed. Your post/story so inspirational. Thank you both so much. Much-needed x

I might be a little biased as I am also from Watford, England (and yes, the football team ARE terrible), but this is one of my favourite success stories so far. I love the humour and determination Will has shown throughout. Like Will, I sometimes wonder if I could ever be in one of these videos! I think even imagining being able to tell the world about my success helps cultivate the right attitude. Thank you for sharing.

Hey Polly, thanks for your comment. My knee is really bothering me at the moment and I actually came back onto this page to remind myself of the work as I was feeling a bit down about it today! But, despite the knee, I've gone running a lot recently even when the knee was hurting and the TMS stuff happened - the brain realised the knee was structurally fine so it moved the pain to my right calf, then over to my left calf and then into my lower back - and then it disappeared! So, TMS is definitely overcomable (new word - just felt right!). Or it might just be Watford depressing me that is all behind this...

Fantastic testimonial, Will! Thanks for sharing the truth of what TMS recovery looks like for many of us. Lots of ups and downs, facing emotional connection to our pain patterns and talking out loud to our bodies & brains in public. Loosing a close family member as a part of the TMS journey was powerful to hear as well. Loved that she connected you with Sarno. 🙏🏼✨

Thanks Donna, yeah, I owe my sister big time. Funnily enough my middle back went into spasm this morning - not happened before - thought I couldn't go to the gym, couldn't honestly move. Then remembered the work and 1h15 later, ran back from a workout at the gym. It really does work all this, it's just getting our brain to understand it's alright.

Great story Will. Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring and hopeful. You found your way out. I’m very happy for you. Your story is very recognizable to me. I also started running again and when I run I have short-term pains all over the place. They come and go. When I go running with pain, it goes away instead of getting worse. It’s nice to hear you have the same experience. Keep on living your life. You are strong!

@@willreidy5851 Yes, the same thing happens to me. It’s amazing, but still demands some courage. I’m not 100% fearless yet. Especially with new pains I did not had before. Then I sometimes start to doubt. Is this also TMS, or this time a real physical injury? Each time I tell myself it’s TMS. Case closed. I also talk to my brain a lot when I’m running. It helps! One day I hope to run completely free in my head. Just run, without “battling” with TMS all the time.

Fantastic testimonial! So relatable. Tim you have a great sense of humour and I see myself in your story. Hearing that you still have pain but apply the techniques is really important to hear. I am earlier in my journey and have pain but still believe this this the solution. The whole mindset if an incredible tool to discover regardless of the outcome. Was also great to hear you Dan speak of your recent pain. One thing that I struggled to hear was people saying the have never has pain again after TMS. Seems a step too far in my belief. Your explanation on this is really important to hear. On a side note I discovered TMS the morning after one night calling out in desperation to my Dad who died a few years back to help me. So when Tim mentioned a similar thing with his sister it floored me. So just had to mention it. Not sure what all that means but TMS is certainly an answer to a desperate call. Thank you again for posting👍

Its absolutely amazing to read about or hear these testimonies, where people haven’t run in years, but get up and take off running! How that is possible when being out of shape, zero or little exercise , to going out for a mile or so jog, blows my mind. Seems like their breath would be so short since most people have to work up in increments to be in shape and run! That is wonderful. Im just happy to go out and walk through the woods a while on flat or low hills but who knows-maybe sometime Ill be running.

Will that was a great share! A true success story - so inspiring! I did my success story late last year it was a pivotal moment in really embedding belief further! I’m so grateful to Dan & Dr Sarno and all the wonderful souls in this community! I laughed out loud to myself at times.. I too would rather had spoken to 10,000 people on stage than bend over!! I’m not as far down the road physically as you! You’ve inspired me to step out of my physical comfort zone I walk loads - I want to do so much more! I will do it 🌟change isn’t necessarily comfortable.. if it is comfortable it’s not perhaps a true change! I started my journey with Dr Joe Dispenza an incredible mindset .. I binged books and meditations.. then in August 2021 I found Sarno a true light 💡 bulb moment of yay this is it!!! A brief book recovery then I found Dan the Man 👏 and everything began to change! I had a 1-1 which was helpful yet it was the group that really did it - such support and strength! A beautiful space to be present in! Thank you Will for the reminders & Dan for so so much more than I can ever express! Now I am no longer afraid of my pain my life has changed 🎉 this stuff works xxx

Cheers Diane - Sarno and Dan's work has really got me thinking re Dispenza's work. I've found it hard with Dispenza's stuff to truly change but I accept it's a process & I'm pleased with some changes I've made in my personality. However, Sarno and Dan's work has made me see you really can change/control your brain by changing how you think and act - therefore, the Dispenza work must work as it's the same thing. Hope I explained that coherently!

At 29:00 - discussing how you can experience flare-ups or sensations, etc. When these occur, and you are no longer afraid... that's the magic spot. After discovering PDP (initially via Curable app in early Summer '22, then joined a non-fb group in Aug '22), I would still react really strongly to any symptoms; in my case SIJ pain. After finding Dan, I learned about fostering a non-reaction to the fluctuations. This literally changed my life. It's the best tool in the kit!

Dan, have you got any video for STRUCTURAL pain ?! Cause I DO have a narrowing of the spine L4, L5. I was ok 2 years ago from the depression. And I was ok from watching your videos but the depression came back 2 months ago as me and my doctor decided I was well enough to stop gradually the medication . The pain never disappeared but without depression I was a stronger person to deal with the pain. So, with the coming back of depression the pain reappeared ... even stronger ... my theory is that the depression is the guilty one and once installed I have to resolve the depression FIRST to have more strong will to resolve the pain. I came back with the medication. Needless to say I think the depression feeds the pain even more ... and one feeds the other ... the depression is not a mild one ... Thank's a lot !

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Narrowing of the spine is often blamed on the pain, but is quite often NOT the actual cause of the pain. This video on Normal abnormalities will explain more: th-cam.com/video/rT9b2qavcAo/w-d-xo.html
That said, the depression does not need to be resolved before the pain. Teach your brain that you are safe in your emotions, thoughts and body and the entire set of concerns can be resolved. Depression and pain.
My fast start playlist will give you a deeper understanding of the cause of pain and how the human system functions. Then I share ideas on how to teach the brain to turn off the pain which is a false alarm from a "perceived", not actual danger. DansFastStart.com

On that, I haven't had a migraine for 4 months - the last one came when I was working one day - I said to my client I needed 15 minutes to sort myself out, so I lay down on my bed and breathed deeply (4 seconds in, 8 out via the nose) and repeated that same mantra of 'I'm safe'. I also looked at what was really on my mind (e.g. a new client the day after which was stressing me out & a bill I was going to have to pay). Genuinely, the lights of the migraine in my eye disappeared after 10 minutes and the pain didn't really come on, which all meant that I could get back to my client meeting and the 3 I had after that one that day.
