    That’s not a secondary tank that’s the air box.

      DeathBy2Stroke dead right, the reserve is basically opening valve lower down the fuel tank and by having it turned as on there is always spare space where the fuel can’t seep Down into the carb

    "You might think these 350s have 4 cylinders like other atvs" there is no ATV with a 4cyl engine. The highest is 2 which canam uses it their vtwin outlanders and renegades

    Hey buddy, I know u posted this a little while ago. I have a quick question, what is that shift stick on the side for, is that reverse? The handle on the side of left front fender is for high and low, correct?

    • @MattnMathias
      @MattnMathias 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you pause the video you can see it shows H, L, R on that black lever on the front left fender. Looks like that gets you High range, Low range, and Reverse all the way back.

      The hand operated shift stick connected to the foot shift is for shifting gears by hand that normally you would do with your foot. Actually the very first one I'd ever seen was back in the mid to late 80"s when my Dad made one for his Kawasaki four wheeler. My Dad had Type 1 diabetes back then and had a lot of trouble with his feet hurting him. The hand shift stick solved that problem so he was still able to ride his four wheeler. Ha,ha I often wondered if he invented that hand shift stick because it was the first one I'd ever seen and other people ask about it when they seen it,stole his idea lol.

      Also 1987 was the first 4x4 Yamaha put out. Ten speed transmission 5 high and 5 low and reverse.

      @@NLINE7 your wrong, that lever is used when you put the atv in neutral you can go into reverse, high range or low range. What you are thinking of is called a suicide shifter that Is connected to the foot shift that you pull on and shift gears with your hand intsead of your foot

    • @NLINE7

      @@lucasfromdavalley The one we had was connected to the manual foot shifter correct, that handle shifter connected to foot shifter was what I was originally referring to in my first post. It was mounted on a Honda manual shift four-wheeler we had then. Actually my Dad built it. This was back in 80's and that handle was the first one I'd ever seen before they was marketed.You could shift it by hand or foot. Reason I know I always would foot shift it when I rode it and my Dad used the shift handle when he rode it because of his diabetic foot problem.

    Just stop. You have no idea what you r talking about. No four wheelers have 4 cylinders. That is not a second gas tank.

    • @robertmarcantonio1789
      @robertmarcantonio1789 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianburnett6992 you need to set the idle higher, it should be a gold screw under the carb. and what you called the secondary fuel tank was not a secondary fuel tank, its the airbox. make sure you open that up and clean it out. and I understand that you might be new to quads and that's great and i hope you have fun while you're getting more and more used to four-wheeling because we were all new at one point, but make sure you know what you are talking about before you make a video about it.
