Im a coach for the under 8s at Fulham, this is the first class ticket to fall out of love with the game in the future

Two years down the line and he’s still going strong. I think he’ll be ok

200% agree. I stopped my son from this level of training due to worry of grinding and burning the wick too early. 10+ is more appropriate for this level.

Yes, or it just filters out the top 1% early and sets them up to be pro

I disagree. The kid is clearly having fun. If he wasn't having fun, then yes, you'd be correct. However, as long as he's enjoying it, you're fine. And on the days when they're not into it, you let them choose what you do they day. They'll usually choose the things that are most fun and they're best at, but so what. It just becomes a perfect day to further build their strengths.

You should do a group session, it’ll be more fun for someone as young as him and give him good competition

Can the boy even run with the ball? Should be concentrated on ball familiarity then cognitive skills which pros learn in experience not forced in training

If I see again one of my exercises that we use at CGSA back in mid 90's I will be sick to my stomach. Need t0 innovate their exercises from their own creativity and experience. But the boy is so cute :)

U 6 Man City player?? 5 years of age in an academy. Shocking.
Let the kids enjoy the game and play it with their friends first.
