Over a year later since I watched this battle and I realize that Hollow is one of the most layered battle rappers ever. The guy is just too complex with his writing.
Hollow had too much for Ill Will. He just too layered plus you add his charisma and performance and it takes it over the top. Just an excellent performance from Hollow. Hope he brings this level of material when/if he battles twork.

Debatable, classic. I’ve got Holllow 2-1 with the overall cleaner performance. In & out of so many pockets; a mixture of old-school Hollow & evolved Hollow.
Will had some extremely memorable bars/moments. “Folding towels, slide up after the split like James Brown, sharpshooter Bret Hart/Brett Favre” went HARD.
I won’t argue with anyone giving this one to Will. Only thing I’ll argue is that it was a clear 3-0 either way. Absolute instant classic, two of the best performances from two legends.
This one has so much replay value.
Hollow with the edge, in my opinion. I’m a big fan of them both.

I gave Ill the 1st round by a narrow margin and gave Hollow the other two rounds comfortably. Clear 2-1 to Hollow, but I wouldn't really argue against a Hollow 30.

Ill Will had 3 back to back (mounting tv, folding towel, put in a suit) in the first round and like Mac n Geechi said Hollow's Nas angle didn't pay off enough but Da Don commanded the rest of the battle. "Momma said don't die in these streets so no lie when I creep The 45 under the seat like old fries and recepits" was one of the best written bars of all time. Hollow 2-1
They overanalyzed that angle. The angle was intended as a round starter to set the tone for the whole battle and get the crowd on his side and it worked effectively. And the way Hollow used the angle he left it open for him to add more to it each round to spread out his material which was smarter.
Hollow did a better job spreading out his material so that every round got better. iLL Will was too top heavy and every round got weaker after his 1st. Hollow 3-0 or 2-1 clear

@@Milestone777I also gave Will the first. Hollow spent too much time on car/wheel flips. But the 1st & 3rd can be debated, Hollow got the 2nd clear. I just can’t call this a thirty either way; they were both too good.
Just overall cleaner, better performance, much more consistent from Hollow. Will had some heavy haymakers but some majorly dry spots/stumbles.
Hollow looked like a seasoned veteran up there. CLOSE battle tho, classic.
@@jluchette With Hollow he never chooses what round he will start with until he hears his opponents rd first unless he goes first..as a Hollow fan if he started first he would of probably would of started with his 2nd. His 1st in this battle would of been his 3rd.

This a tough one man! I remember edging it to Will on first watch, and then it was much more debatable cuz Hollow seemed to answer the energy right back every time!
I’m saying gentleman’s 30 either way … you could argue every round for either MC. We all won here, and I’m really proud of ARP & RBE for bringing this standard of quality we’ve come to expect from him. RBE, C23, and KOTD kept it alive and well this year among so much drama & nonsense. Salute to all involved, and as always shout to RYD & Avo for keeping it crispy! 💯

Wills 1st was extra light to me. The best part was the "God Tier" scheme but the problem is none of it had anything to do with actual battling talent, it was all personal shit. Thatd be like "you can't be a good football player bc you can't do a backflip". He should've used those bars for a different scheme.
Meanwhile, Hollow actually started his rd by talking about Will AS A BATTLER. Personals are important, but so is execution. And speaking of, he had a lot of pauses. Hollow coulda said "God tier is when your opponent has to stop rapping over and over bc rapping to the mirror aint rapping to ME".
