My favourite part of the pre-christmas season is a little tradition my uni friends and I started in our first year of uni, where each sunday is dedicated to some kind of creative activity. There are reading / story afternoons, music and singing, crafts, baking… It‘s always lovely especially since we are all usually so busy, but this is always a time of reconnection and calm.
My favorite part of the time leading up to Christmas is choosing/making gifts for my loved ones. I get more excited picking the gifts out (or making them) and anticipating their reactions than I do about anything else. I do enjoy the decorating and the carols and the food we have for the holidays, but nothing beats making my loved ones smile.
The pre-Christmas time is a pretty magical ones. I love the coziness of little lights in the darkness and decorations. Rolling up on the couch with some music and a knitting project - it couldn’t be any better. 🫶🏻🎄🥰💝
The best pre-holiday vibes for me is making knitted gifts for my grandchildren. I am truly impressed with your knitting expertise...you will be a master knitter soon by the looks of your 'beginner' projects...bravo to you.
I love the October - December period where I get to make a lot of little knitting projects for my friends & fam. And then seeing them wear hand knit socks when it gets colder

Ah, pre-Christmas time. Crazy stressful, eh. 😅 I do dearly love this time, though. Cocoa and twinkly lights, the smell of the tree, and the sound of instrumental Christmas music, we fill a basket of seasonal books, and everything is just lovely. I think my favorite part of this time, though, is the evening crafting by the warm lights on the mantle. Maybe with a bit of peppermint tea. Lovely.

My favourite parts of Advent is decorating Christmas cookies as well as wrapping presents. My own little tradition is to sip Irish cream sitting on the floor wrapping gifts late at night after my four kids were all tucked in. Now they are all adults but I still do it. And they all still ask me to decorate cookies. The mess gets bigger the older they get, but I love that they still want to do it even in their 20’s. I’m sure in few years there may be grandbabies that also want to participate. ❤

I discovered Marlene like 2-3 weeks ago and I am so happy for her milestone and excited to see everything she knits. Mostly all her knit choices are in my knit list now :) So definitely Christmas season for me its the strongest knitting month, not only for the chritmas atmosphere but also because it helps me to go over the darker months of the year :)

The slow-down and relaxed feel of holidays for everyone. Early morning walks along a calm sandy beach, just dipping the toes very occasionally into the warm water. Catching up with friends and family over a leisurely lunch under a cool shady tree. Delicious summer fruits, cherries and strawberries made into chocolate cherry trifle or strawberry cream pavlova. And of course lots of knitting time for all those lovely summer tees.

This is the first video of yours I've seen, but I'm going to watch the other 3 right away. I'm really sorry for you that your packages keep getting lost! I've had it for a while that my packages were delivered to neighbors somewhere in the flat, who were then not at home for a few days... Since then I always have my packages delivered to the delivery point so that I can pick them up myself. But I hope your packages still come to the surface! This is the second year my boyfriend and I have been living together and celebrating Christmas so my favorite thing during this time is we are making traditions for the two of us. My favorite is now a mega mug of hot chocolate with homemade arancello (like limoncello but made from oranges). 🎄
I love to prepare all the baking and presents for my family. I always try to knit some things but I am always rushing to finish and don't always get it done! I love the cozy vibes of staying in and reading and knitting.
I think my most favorite part of Advent is reading my Bible and learning more about the birth of Jesus Christ. I always learn something new each year. I mostly crochet the things that I wear and gifts for others. Those stitch markers are so cute. I just found your podcast while putting my grandson down for a nap and I picked up my current project to work on to mindless crochet while I watch TH-cam. You are so interesting to listen to. Ooh, my favourite thing about the lead up to Christmas. This is hard as I actually really struggle at Christmas time. But I thought to myself - there must be something I enjoy. It has to be food and drink. I love to make the Christmas cake and egg nog and mincemeat. Spiced mulled cider when we put up out decorations. I’d say food and drink is my fav. 😊

My favorite part of the lead up to Christmas is watching all the knitting vlogmas' that people do. Puts me into the holiday mood. Christmas isn't as magical as it was when I was a kid living at home. Now that we are all older and there are no young kids in the family (well...mine is the youngest at 12 but he is no longer into toys and never knows what he wants so just wants money. What's fun about that?!?!) it's more about sitting with family and talking or playing games. Which is nice...but not the exciting memories of my childhood. Which....isn't bad, per se, its just different. lol

I discovered Marlene like 2-3 weeks ago and I am so happy for her milestone and excited to see everything she knits. Mostly all her knit choices are in my knit list now :) So definitely Christmas season for me its the strongest knitting month, not only for the chritmas atmosphere but also because it helps me to go over the darker months of the year :)

The slow-down and relaxed feel of holidays for everyone. Early morning walks along a calm sandy beach, just dipping the toes very occasionally into the warm water. Catching up with friends and family over a leisurely lunch under a cool shady tree. Delicious summer fruits, cherries and strawberries made into chocolate cherry trifle or strawberry cream pavlova. And of course lots of knitting time for all those lovely summer tees.

This is the first video of yours I've seen, but I'm going to watch the other 3 right away. I'm really sorry for you that your packages keep getting lost! I've had it for a while that my packages were delivered to neighbors somewhere in the flat, who were then not at home for a few days... Since then I always have my packages delivered to the delivery point so that I can pick them up myself. But I hope your packages still come to the surface!
This is the second year my boyfriend and I have been living together and celebrating Christmas so my favorite thing during this time is we are making traditions for the two of us. My favorite is now a mega mug of hot chocolate with homemade arancello (like limoncello but made from oranges). 🎄
I love to prepare all the baking and presents for my family. I always try to knit some things but I am always rushing to finish and don't always get it done! I love the cozy vibes of staying in and reading and knitting.
I think my most favorite part of Advent is reading my Bible and learning more about the birth of Jesus Christ. I always learn something new each year. I mostly crochet the things that I wear and gifts for others. Those stitch markers are so cute. I just found your podcast while putting my grandson down for a nap and I picked up my current project to work on to mindless crochet while I watch TH-cam. You are so interesting to listen to. Good luck on getting all your wips done for Christmas and starting the sweater for your boyfriend. I know he will enjoy it.

Ooh, my favourite thing about the lead up to Christmas. This is hard as I actually really struggle at Christmas time. But I thought to myself - there must be something I enjoy. It has to be food and drink. I love to make the Christmas cake and egg nog and mincemeat. Spiced mulled cider when we put up out decorations. I’d say food and drink is my fav. 😊

My favorite part of the lead up to Christmas is watching all the knitting vlogmas' that people do. Puts me into the holiday mood. Christmas isn't as magical as it was when I was a kid living at home. Now that we are all older and there are no young kids in the family (well...mine is the youngest at 12 but he is no longer into toys and never knows what he wants so just wants money. What's fun about that?!?!) it's more about sitting with family and talking or playing games. Which is nice...but not the exciting memories of my childhood. Which....isn't bad, per se, its just different. lol
I’m a teacher, so don’t have much time before Christmas, but love the Christmas day and relax time after. Lots of knitting projects to do. I have my 5 favorites PetiteKnit sweaters to do. I think i’ll start by Friday Tee. Can’t wait!

Also where I keep my yarn: probably not the neatest, prettiest solution but they are in plastic boxes with lids. Those keep dust away, too.
During advent I enjoy being able to spend time with friends and I love twinkle lights on a Christmas tree.
