Nice video. I'm from Panama City. My paternal grandfather came from Jamaica to Panama, and stayed living in the City of Colón.

Nice interview with Melanie Xavier, my maternal grandmother and her brother went to panama when the canal was being built my mom was around 2yrs old. Grandma got married and had three more kids. She visited Jamaica when I was twelve years old also one of my aunts and two cousins. My mother migrated to Panama when I was seventeen yrs old. I visited twice and had the chance to visit the canal zone watched the ships passed through a very beautiful experience also visited Colon back in 1982. Beautiful country and as she said there is music everywhere even on the buses. Xavier if you visit you have to see the canal period! 😊🇯🇲🇺🇲

Xavier, I really enjoy your videos. I know you asked Melanie about the cost of living there, which she compared to the mainland, but when you do these videos I would love for you to ask how the cost of living compares to living in Jamaica specifically. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.

Interesting Interview, as usual. Didn’t hear which country Melanie was living before she went to live on the island.

The eating of iguanas is very common especially with the natives, but they are really huge unlike those in Florida. Like Melanie I have no interest to try it😊🇯🇲🇺🇲

Melanie wouldn't know if the "chicken" recipe she so love has some iguana meat in it or not since it's hard to tell the difference between them in said dish. 😉 😄
