+VPSantiago Playing the game after watching this and following his advice

I need to git gud
@@thestereotypicalauburnfan7180 I beat the game with only about 100 deaths.. idk if that's good or not
@@taemalan2290 That's actually pretty good. Better than most folks
Excellent work and many thanks from a youtuber like you :D
Holy crow! Is that the metatron on a dark souls 2 video!?!?
@@the_metamancer Hi!
I didn't know the metatron plays ds2... Will you ever do an analysis of the armor sets? I would be very interested
No one cares if you're a youtuber, you could just say thanks
@@bananaknight8575 lots of people play dark souls. Who cares???

How do you fix this?
Great explananation vid. After playing Dark Souls I decided to play Demon's Souls, and found getting used to it really easily and finished it quite quickly. After picking up DS 2: SotFS I thought I would be ready, but boy, the changes From Software have made gave me a big ass whooping. Great job on making this video
+Macaco Macabra thank you very much for the kind comment (:
But but, You Need 50 strength to dual wield the ultra greatswords
but big sword go boom
For once, a completely unbiased guide for dark souls 2. Everyone always will make a guide saying how strength and vigor are your best stats and only casters should invest otherwise and adaptability is useless. In actuality, strength only scales better than dex but only deals with base physical damage and does not touch auxiliary offenses. Adaptability is an excelent stat for all types when invested only to certain teir thresholds and is even better when leveled along side attunment and endurance. And finally, hybrids focusing on one main physical stat, with just the requirements to weild your weapon or powerweild, a auxiliary damage type and a school of magic to either buff or complement that damage type is the much more benificial build than a all strength, some dex, max health, heavy armor two hand weapon build. All in all, excellent guide and fair veiw of each stat.
+Xanderqwerty123 Thanks for the kind comment, I appreciate it!
Xanderqwerty123 DEX FOR LIFE. KATANAS FOR LIFE.
I know, I'm half a decade late but whoever says ADP is useless doesn't know the game mechanics very well.
I never thought adaptability was useless, I just always thought it's just a stupid mechanic tbh
Also Adaptability will boost your I Frames. I wanna say when you get your agility stat to 97 or 102 your character will start to dodge like Ds1 or Ds3. For sure helped me get the game feeling more fair with its unforgiving hit boxes
Dude, you deserve soooooo much more views on all of your vids. IMO, your DaS guides are one of the best out there. How could I help you making you more popular?
Thanks again.
Venegan Soulwomb Thanks for the support, just keep watching, commenting, and sharing with your network!
Playing through again after years, and this is still a top resource. Thanks mane.
I just started playing the game 2 months ago so it was all new to me. I'm very high level so I already knew how the stats worked, but I liked that he said attunement also affected rolling and estus drinking. (I knew that from increasing the stats) Other guides miss this, which will lead people that stick to "meta" to make wrong choices. People going for level 838 like me will figure it out from leveling so much, but people staying 120 will miss this type of thing. (because you often have to raise a stat 6-10 times to notice one of the benefits it gives you, like attunement helping your agility, along with adaptability.)
I just came back to dark souls 2 after like 5 years and this is still a video I 100% needed
Yes, glad I found this video again after a few years. Other guides on stats and leveling just don;t cut it.
Wow. This video is phenomenal. Incredibly helpful for a beginner like me. And, I know what HUD stands for now lol.
good explanations on the stats. Now I understand Adaptability +
(: glad you found this helpful!
10 out of 10 on this video. Good shit.
Jamie Hall Thank you Jamie!
Bald and Bearded , really impressive video
And got greatly importance toa play
I started ds2 6 days ago and was confused about the stats as they are different from ds1. Thank you for a clear explanation on each of the stats. I liked dex in ds1 so that's what i'm going to do on my first run. Cheers! :D
Dude - thanks for this! First time I've seen it laid out coherently. Dark Souls 2 is the first 'Souls' game I've properly got into, and it's 'user-friendliness' compared to previous titles has eased the frustration. It's finally clicked, and I might even go back and retry DS1 and Demon Souls! Thanks again!
Ian San Miguel I definitely recommend going back and playing at least Dark Souls.. I have tons of content on it to help you through it as well.
Dude...i wanted to thank you for your dark souls videos. You helped me a bunch with some things in DS1, and now that ive started DS2 im sure ill be refering to your videos here and there. I may not always tske the time to drop a like or a comment, since im usually watching on my tv, but please know that i truly appreciate all of the work youve done.
Appreciate it Zebb!
Awesome! Thank you for the advice. Going from the first dark souls the second is more complex and having someone explain it all is a real help thank you.
This is the type of guide Dark Souls players needed.
You know.
You explained the Best way to level up and then how to level up and when to stop for good builds.
Nice job
This is the only dark souls game it’s needed for bc it’s genuinely the worst one
Thanks man, this video helped me a lot! I just started playing dks2 after finishing the first game, I was about to upgrade vitality when I noticed that it actually raised my equip load rather than HP, thats when I realized that I need to seek more knowledge about this sequel
Hey, i'm just getting started uploading Dark Souls videos. This guide is the most efficient and proffesional I've ever seen about DS2, straight to the point, no beating the bush. I like that, I've been inspired! Big thumbs up from here.
Thank you so much for this video, also your flawless pronunciation combined with the clean sound contribute a lot to understanding everything. Keep at it man!
I did not know I could upgrade my self so I ended up beating the pursuer with the starting weapons lol
Great help thank you so much!! Everytime I manage to kill a Boss or an Invader I dedicate the souls to you XD
+Zoroglu Türk haha finally I have reached false God status. Yussss
Terrific video my friend!! Really nice work
Very nice! Thanks for the help.
Dam The Best Video I seen understood ever thing you said Thank You, Please do more!
Great explanation! Thank you!
+Avis Illudentes you're welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to record this. It is really helpful.
Currently at level 110+ with my Tank build and i had no idea how many points i was wasting in my already high stats.
Thanks for clearing all this up so i can start rebuilding my Tank to be more "point effiecient".
This is an old one but man it makes me feel much better to know what the stats do specifically. I didn’t even know that there was a stat to make rolling and item using quicker. Much thanks to a very late comer to the series 😂
Happy to have helped you out bud :)
I have played this game never beat it because I did not know about this video now that that the stats are explained I'm a own the gameplay
Guide is very good because you included the soft/hard caps in an easy to read chart.
muffemod I'm glad you found it helpful!
Thanks man I didn't how high I should rise each stat to.
+1614bluedragon you're welcome, unfortunately this kind of information isn't explained in the game.
Great Guide! knew within 2 minutes this would be an incredible guide, give me a bit of base knowledge before plunging into the game, thank you for a very informative video!
Georgio169 Thanks for the kind comment!
Love this guide. I hope you do this guide for DS3.
thanks this was of great help!!!
This helped so much, thanks! :D Starting a new load since I understand how this works so much better now..
SiLeNcEiKiLLU35626 You're welcome, thanks for leaving a comment!
thanks bro! this video was much needed..
thank you so much idk if I wasn't looking hard enough or what but this is the only video that describes these stats this way its exactly what I was looking for
+Isaiah Bryant you're welcome bud, glad you found it!
As a old player this video is excellent, I will recommend for friend
+1 (no I'm not late but I'm in future ;])
Wow man great info on the leveling system, it help understand why my avatar hit a plateau late game. Thx for the upload brotha!
***** You're welcome BRUH!
This video helped me out tons! Many thanks.
the only thing i would note that I noticed,
is that you still get a return of 20hp at 50,
and a return of 2 Stamina at 20 Endurance.
my build is at SL137:
50 VGR
20 End
29 Vit
10 Att (for Warmth)
28 STR (Zwei, G.S.)
26 DEX (BK Halberd)
3 INT
9 FTH (BKH*)
I think I'm happy with this build, any ideas?
no adp?
Maybe a sidenote shoulda been added that Agility is probably one of the most important skills to invest in for newer players, because the ability to evade as you mentioned, is just another way to say that it increases the amount of invincibility frames during a dodge
This was very helpful. The explanations were easy to understand and very well done. Thanks a ton!
+Sebastian Coe you're welcome!
Great video. Coherent and Concise.
I understand souls stat language pretty well but this was a perfect brush up after platinum trophies for 1 and 3 since they are both sooo different.
i'm not sure how, but this was one of those rare videos that got me to subscribe in a single viewing. i believe a well done is in order. well done, great vid.
+Ferret Prince Thanks for the kind comment and sub! Have a good one.
So now i know everything about the stats and still dont know how to level through dark souls 2... great! thanks!
Get souls by killing bosses and farming kills done and pro tip don’t die twice
Thank you so much! DS2 is my first souls game and after a really rough start I'm enjoying the hell out of it now thanks to your video! So good! Also what was the music you used for this video? It's so mesmerizing.
You're lucky, the other games will feel like massive improvements if youve started with ds2.
Well made video with great insight on stat gains. Thank you!
Seriously underrated channel!
Thanks so much!
Thanks man. This is putting me on the right path. Excellent vid.
Albensinator You're welcome, happy to help!
Sweet Sean. I Will wait on the lets plays until i had my first playthrough myself :) excellent vid as always... You set the standard :)
Chris Bjerregaard Appreciate the kind comment man
you really need to be more popular.. these info are really really really really very helpful... very much liked.. count m on your Sub. :D
It should also be noted that AGL increases your s when rolling, making it MUCH more effective.
This was really helpful. Thank you. Now I know what to do when I respec my soul level.
12:56 correction - faith does not increase spell uses and it never has (in previous patch versions). Where did you get this information? Thanks for the vid.
Wow there is someone still playing
Dark souls 2 Sotfs is my first dark souls. After so many years, this video proved useful. Thank you so much.
Question : playing with shield and sword would mean that vigor, strength, dexterity and endurance are the main stats to focus on right?
You would need vitality for higher equip load and adaptability for higher dodge speed, drinking flask...basically any character animations.
I didn't know that faith increased the bleed bonus. Awesome! Thankyou 👍
You're welcome bud
Certainly useful. Having played a lot of DS1, and being a bit at a loss at start with DS2, this certainly tells me that my instinct has been working to satisfactory standards.
Navnik BHSilver awesome man, that's the toughest part of the souls games. Figuring out what the hell is going on :)
Paper Planes Channel Hehe, true, but at least this time it was easier and faster than with DS1. Used to have a high-soul level dex/faith build, but rules have changed a lot in DS2. Going for an early falchion didn't cut it.
Now I got balanced dex/str with some int as suppliment, seems to work out well in both pve and pvp, Using a +10 Dark Longsword.
im a ds2 beginner and this helped me a LOT. cheers dude!
+passion4progress good luck!
thank you so much!! you deserve more views, its obvious you put a lot of time into this
Matthew Susich Thank you Matthew, I really did spend quite a bit of time on this hah!
I'm a swordsman and I barely parry or block so would strength, dexterity, vigor and endurance favour?
Mokibo upgrade your attacking stats (str and dex) based on what kind of requirements are needed for whatever weapon you favor yielding. vigor and endurance will always be useful.
Well I murdered Benhart for his blue greatsword because I had a "kill them for their stuff" mindset at the time.
One of the best put together guides I have seen yet. Thanks. Wish I would have seen this before I hit my +1.
Robert Large Appreciate the comment Robert. Have fun on your NG+ :)
This should be essential viewing for any novice or heck, any Dark Souls 2 player. Awesome tutorial.
Transformersgeek Thanks for the kind comment!
Great video, Exactly what i was looking for. You Earned Yourself a sub!
This answered all the questions I had. Thank you so much!!!
+Ryan Beckenbaugh awesome, have fun!
Thank you, great video 8-9 years later.
I played all the souls games and I came here to check out another guide that's not beginner friendly but even a baby would get what you said nice vid
This is such a good video, thanks dude... i always feel my build sucks and i get stuck on bosses.
Stelios Kontos you're welcome! Boss fights don't typically require a great build. There is usually a few good tactics for different builds to defeat them.
probably the most in depth guide I've ever seen. well done good sir!
+Stewayben you're welcome bud, thanks for the kind comment.
so as a melee lover, i shall focus on all except Attunement (might do it few levels for pyromancy), Intelligence and Faith.
Do the enimies level up with you like the higher the soullevel the harder the enimies get
????????
Please i need an answer cause im new to dark souls
AngelsLive No, the enemies get more difficult after you beat the game and continue on that save file into something called new game +.
Oh my god! I am a Dark Souls 2 newbie and you have helped me so much! You are awesome!
Wendel Chaves Very happy to hear it! Enjoy the game :)
You sir, just got a new subscriber. VERY useful information, thanks!
Putrid616Flesh You're welcome, thanks for the sub!
Most usefull video I have seen so far, thank you!
Omg! Thank you so much this was a big help!
+foxglyder89 you're very welcome!
Great video before I was just spending points to be rounded but now I can spend points confident I will see a difference. (yes I am new to this game series)
+Rooster Fury happy to have helped bud (:
Great guide right there, thank you for the Info!
kuilu I appreciate it :)
omfg thank you i couldn't figure out how to level up at all
you're welcome bud (:
Amazingly informative. Thank you!
......my character is level 400....I dont have the dlc... but I have some weapons from the dlc.......I'm just now taking the time to actually understand scaling and how the mundane stones work.....iv got everything practically titanite maxed out...its not rocket science but it does require knowing what brick to lay and where in order to build the style you want...
Thanks sooo much for this!
An excellent guide my friend. Much appreciated.
TheOmmadawn You're welcome, thanks for the comment!
Thank you for creating this video. I love your content very much. Keep up the good work. I know dark souls 2 came out quite well ago and I pick up the game the day it came out, but I never beat the game due to school and other stuff. I don't know if you will ever read this comment or even reply me, but I have a quick question. What status should I invest in for a strength build and what are some good weapons or armor for this build. Thank you.
+Kevin Huang thanks for the kind comment Kevin. As far as builds go I'm not really one to give much advice on that end. You can plan it out ahead of time by looking at the soft and hard caps of the stats, know about which level you care to be at if you want to play online, and try to decide which weapons you'd like to use along the way and once your character is finished so you can get the maximum out of your character's build.
Thank you so much for the help.
This is super helpful. Good job!
***** thank you, have fun!
They must have for some seriously stupid reason changed the Equip load points per level because at 20 I was having to do 2 levels for a tiny increase even tho it was already awfully low when alot of stuff I want to try is 30lbs even armor is 30lbs I am glad you can go to 70% and still roll normally
I'm finally just about to start this game. This is an invaluable tool for me. Nice job man. I too am bald and bearded aswell. Gonna watch your classes vid next and then I'm gonna see how often I can get my ass kicked...
+Adrian Dale heh glad you like the vids, good luck!
Lol, I'm starting the game and I too am bald and bearded. One thing I particularly enjoyed learning was that increasing adaptability helps increase the speed at which you consume estus. It was far too slow for me. Kept leaving wide open.
I think you could have sped up that strength based attack power part and not read every single one, at least not at that pace. Good video though, it's helping out a lot on how I want to build my character and you explain everything very well.
republicrat yeah after making the video I agree, but at this point nothing I can do about it haha.
Paper Planes Channel lol true
Hi there im a new player and i found this extremely usefull. I understand the skills alot more now! thanks
NzSnypes Appreciate your comment bud, have fun!
thanks i have the pefect idea for my build lol new to the souls games
Very helpful, thanks, bro.
I have played Dark Souls 2 along while, yet there is one thing I'm not sure of. WHAT is a good level to STOP leveling up? It doesn't make sense to just keep leveling up and up and up, but where goes a good limit to stop? How much does being overleveled affect online play?
+manu laakso The level to stop at is really a question for you to answer. If you have friends and you want to play with them then you remain closer to their levels. If you what a specific character build then you tailor it around that. As you see I've mentioned the soft and hard caps in this video so if you just want to build a character to obtain all of those caps that is one way to go about it.
Okay, thanks! Nice job with the quick responce:D
+manu laakso you're welcome bud, have a good one!
You Sir got a new subscriber. Great Video Bro!
gzlzmaistro Thank you very much!
Gonna play again and still an amazing video, always come back to it :D

when I go to her I just seems to tell me to go to four unutterable names whatever that means
nvm
I really want this game but I have to wait for PC version because I don't want it for console because I prefer PC but while waiting I am gonna watch your videos so I am ready
I would like to know, whats the optimal poise number to resist most strikes that would usually inturrupt your actions? (and by this i mean swings from other swords that arent as giant nor powerful than anything greater than a Ultra greatsword or a [firestorm, scraps of life] spell)
