@@michaellin4553 not sure where you're getting that from. Most countries permit the use of non licensed people using marine, UHF etc in emergencies.
If you're in a boat that's sinking you're not going to get in trouble for calling mayday without a marine license lol

I just saw your video. I am a licensed ham radio operator so I’m very interested in this device. I will need something like the HackRF to operate remote trim the top transceiver.
This is awesome. Originally looking at Hacker RF with a Pi but this will allow me to use it without computer on the go. The only problem is weak transmit. For SSB HF I will need at least 5w abs preferably 10w for clear transmission. If you can find a inexpensive linear amp, (with band pass filters) to transmit long distance.
Yes you need extra hardware called "ham it up" to help boost the tx when used legally with a HAM license

Transmitting gets tricky. Alot of frequencies its illegal and or requires a license. Some people made videos jamming wifi or transmitting FM Without the antenna on so it only works in a small distance

Can you put the link to the hack rf you used, I found it for $88 but there’s a lot of different bundles with other items one of those being the telescoping antenna and I saw you had one. Did you get a bundle. If so which one?

I just bought one the other day and after I turned it off the display won't come back on when I power it up. Any ideas for troubleshooting?
I saw on the device you had it said Mayhem at the top of the screen and some other devices I have seen said Havoc. Is there any difference?
They're just two different software versions you can put on it; both have their own dev communities. Havoc is a lot less developed.
Yes there are a few. Havoc isn't being maintained and was an earlier mod. The guy who did it now does videogame hacking as it pays his bills.
is there anything better then this tool.. maybe something that does full duplex send and receive at the same time?? or do people just use an RF and TX kind of dongle setup on their laptops? would that be more powerful
The BladeRF is the better version, but it’s like the HackRF since it doesn’t have a screen. I think there’s a few projects trying to make it the next Portapack

Hello, I want to read the captured data on my PC. The captured data is stored in .c16 file format. I am not sure how to read this data and analyze the spectrum on my PC. Can you suggest any tool, please.

also got one of those.. purchased it a few years ago.
I use it for RC to look at the protocols and the analog signals and also the digital signals from drones and simply just trying to get an understanding of RF.

You should see if certain music has different waves and see if sad music follows a specific pattern.
You could use audacity for that. Lol

Here in Houston it's all encrypted so you're better off using broadcasify.

I am thinking of buying a HackRF One. But I just need some helpful information. I have seen a thing by the name of the Portapack H2
But is that the same thing as a HackRF One, or is it something that you ADD to the HackRFOne. As I am new to SSR radio, and would like to have something that I can use when I am out and about. As I do NOT drive, I would NOT have any power supply and also it is not that easy to carry about a laptop or even a small tablet.
So it is NOT technical information that I am looking for, more like practical information.

You should start using Free Software licensed software instead. GPL for instance. This provides more freedoms for hackers and users and typically attracts high quality participation thus a higher caliber product all around.
I think the blender project is also a good example.
FYI -- Radio Reference does not, no where near, list all frequencies in any given area.
It's a place to start, and it's updated all the time! I'm looking for new stuff all the time :)

I have a group of people that are somehow talking to me.I don't know how they do it and I can hear them almost everywhere I go. It's hard to hear them speak to me but once you hear it you cant help but hear them every time they are talking. They use this way of talking to me in coordination with watching some website on the deep web that allows you to watch cctv cameras in stores or hidden cameras in bathrooms and hotel rooms. Has anyone ever heard of this happening??

Transmitting on certain frequencies or at certain powers are regulated by FCC in US. That, plus interference with things like car keys, security systems, people's wifi, and GPS are all illegal or morally questionable at best.

it means i can see if transmitting on the 2.4Ghz WiFi band on really low power can stop my internet for working AND i can also test the 5Ghz as well since it goes to six 6Ghz but i'd only do it to fool with my parents and that's it
fun fact for you to know by the way you COULD techically use this on MURS CB and FRS because you DONT need a ticket to transmit there thus why those spectrum's are for public use
