    I'm glad that you guy's are understanding the nuance of theons situation. He's definitely between a rock and a hard place.
    Melisandre(the red woman) is a servant of the lord of light a religion from essos. She converted stannis which is why they were burning the statues in the beginning.

    I love the small side scene with Baelish and Ros. It shows more depth and consequences after the kids are killed by the Gold Cloaks and shows depth to Baelish and his ruthless side. Both actors are amazing in it. The show is so strong when goes into character depth and motivation like that, although most people talk about the plot and shocks.

    i love reactors who can clearly acknowledge Sansa is playing the game as we all would if we were in her situation. There's some viewers who still try to argue she still liked Joffrey at this point. LOL

    • @-Zikade-
      @-Zikade- 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Or if not that they demand how Sansa needs to "man up and do something". Like, what the fuck do they expect her to do?? Would love to see these people, who so easily judge her, to be put into her situation and watch what they'd actually do. She's in an environment full of schemers and liars, in which any attempt against the King can be read as treason. What Sansa is doing here, i.e. feigning loyalty to the King, is actually smart. The media kind of teaches people how "being submissive" is always a bad thing and how snarky heroes are the way to go but GoT back here was WAY closer to the reality. There's actual consequences. Sansa acting like some snarky action hero would have only brought her more pain.

    • @iris-xo
      @iris-xo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@-Zikade- exactly! And Sansa is the embodiment of feminine strength especially in a time period like that! People love to praise a woman character if they go against the norms of being a woman.. such as, Arya.. but why does a girl need to be more “masculine” to be strong? There’s different strengths & Sansa’s resilience and ability to adapt to her surroundings is amazing - if Arya was trapped in Kings Landing, she’d end up executed for trying to attack the Lannister’s or something. Sansa played the long game & did it correctly.

    • @-Zikade-
      @-Zikade- 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@iris-xo I completely agree. I'm a woman and I actually really dislike this modern perception of "strong female characters" because it basically boils down to "they become strong when every feminine trait is erased and they become 'badasses' doing traditionally masculine things". That indeed highlights the notion that one can ONLY be strong when they exhibit traditionally masculine traits. Which is bullshit and such a goddamn narrow view on "strength". IMO Margaery is one of the greatest examples of feminine strength. Like, there's NO way you could ever call her weak. She knows exactly what she's doing. Yet I feel like GoT fandom generally likes to make fun of Sansa while praising Arya at every turn. Even though, like you said, Arya would have easily gotten herself killed in King's Landing because of her unwillingness to conform.

    • @zandergamer5429
      @zandergamer5429 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@iris-xo Sansa is the embodiment of feminine strength? Lmao. That would go to Cersei, Margaery, Olenna or even Ellaria, but to Sansa? her character is literally meant to embody innocence and naivety she's still a child at that point and is only doing the obvious thing, because no one would just diss Joffrey like nothing after what he did of course she would just obey.

    • @zandergamer5429
      @zandergamer5429 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@-Zikade- People make fun of Sansa because even after 8 seasons she was never close to being like Margaery or Olenna, she was an idiot at the beginning yes but I wouldn't blame her for that because she was just an innocent child, but after that she never showed any type of growth or strength, even when Littlefinger told her to try to manipulate Ramsey like Margaery did with Joffrey she failed, she was never meant to represent any type of strength and that's the reason she's laughed at

    It's so nice to see you two enjoying Game of Thrones! I still remember how I felt when I first saw this amazing series. Believe me, you will absolutely love the emotional rollercoaster that it will take you on season after season. Plots will thicken in ways that will always keep you guessing.
    I've noticed a lot of comments people have left suggesting that you look into and react to the lore videos. Honestly, I would suggest that you leave the lore videos alone until after you watch the entire series (all eight seasons) because there are actually quite a lot of spoilers in the lore videos. Please allow yourselves to be completely in the dark about all of the characters and all of the pretexts in order to more fully relish this landmark series and provide more genuine & intense reactions. Afterwards, the lore videos are good for filling in the blanks and providing more depth to the characters and plotlines.
    I just came across your channel, and I've given this video a great big Thumbs Up because I love your energy! Enjoy the rest of Season Two and the remaining seasons as well.
    Peace and Blessings, Rangers! 💛🙏💛

Stick w/what works--don't change much. If you get some whistles and bells with regard to editing... Cool. But just "stay you" and that authenticity will come through, take the advice but don't try to please everyone--ya can't, no one can. 😎👍👍

    Yeah the beginnings of each season may well seem like big information bombs, you just gotta watch closely which you guys are doing. Keep it up.
    One thing is that there are constantly new characters being met and in some cases instantly become fan favorites. (In the books there are over 2,500 named characters but the show is more economic).

    Great stuff you guys. I almost hate to make this comment, but let me do it with a disclaimer first, and this will NOT be a spoiler, so don't worry about that. My humble advice would be to probably take notes (not on characters, or places per se), but on the religions. You hear Robert Baratheon refer to the "Seven Hells" early on, and now we get "The Lord of Light", then there is the "old Gods", when Sam and Jon take their vows for The Knights' Watch..... you'll eventually hear about "The Drown God", and multiple others in this show. I only comment on it as kind of a warning because in this particular instance of this show, you can't really look into or research the pantheon of this lore without it providing spoilers. I suggested writing things down because it will make much more sense to research it once you have completed this show as reference points to look back. It might be helpful to note which people/families are loyal to which God's, in which season. That sounds exceedingly vague, but I seriously can't say much more without spoiling some big plot lines. Now, the caveat to that is that House of the Dragon is set to come out in August (the 21st I think), so if you haven't finished this series by the time that releases and plan on watching and reacting to that then I have no idea how those storylines (as precursors because it happened decades and decades before this series) could impact the viewing experience for both series. It really is a unique situation you two find yourselves in because the lore is definitely important and several storylines hinge on it in fact, but I have no idea how the producers and directors of the new upcoming show will incorporate that into the story. My best guess would be to keep track and keep notes (not necessarily extensively) so you have reference points you can look at after you finish this series before you start the next because if they portray The Lord of Light anything at all like they do in this series then certain people (definitely priests/pristesses) that follow that God will be abke to see certain future events. If you watch that show, before finishing this one I don't put it past the show producers/show runners to show you flash forwards about what will come to pass. And that could definitely spoil your experience with this show if you have not finished it before that series is released. Sorry for the long post, but I seriously wanted to give you both a heads up about exactly what you are getting yourselves into.

    What I like about their reactions is more than most reactors, one or the other or both of them remembers how something in the past applies to what they have just seen. Also, they listen to whats happening and choose very well when to speak. It's subtle thing in these reaction to know when to speak and when not to. Or to speak too much. The Rangers, right out the gate are very good at not speaking too much. One of my favorite reactors, I had to stop watching him react to this series because he would start talking about something that happened in a scene and 5 minutes later he is still talking about it. He talked over and missed the last 5 minutes. He's a good guy and otherwise a great reactor. But that rambling he did just became too much for me to handle.
