I think what I am seeing is some Lationos are embracing ignorance and being tunnel vision. They vote GOP due to religious reasons. What most latinos forget get hit worse with GOP policies like 'right to work laws and anti-union policies'.

Why do they focus on Florida. I’d say Texas Latinos right now will make the biggest impact. Cubans have been organized but in Texas, big cities like Dallas and Houston really only became large Latino populations in the 90s. In Houston there was only 70k Latinos in 1975 and now in 2022 there’s over a million and it’s 2 million in the metro area. Also there’s a divide within the Mexican American community. Latinos that work for Border patrol or oil and gas typically vote red. In Houston there’s at least 90k jobs in refineries and more than half the workers are Latino (mostly Mexican American). Border patrol is also mostly Latino. They should do a story on that.

I am Roman Catholic and I am voting Republican because I AM ROMAN CATHOLIC.
Majority of Hispanic Catholics vote Democrat. The majority of Hispanic Evangelicals vote Republican. Majority of college educated Hispanics vote Democrat. The higher the income the state has the less likely it is to voted Republican. The highest pay check per family is Massachusetts, the most Democrat state. The lowest pay check per family ($20k less) is Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi where Trump won by the highest margins.

The report on Latino gains is misleading. Cuban-Americans in Florida are descendants of Cubans that fled Castro's leftist regime. They have *always* been very much in the conservative camp. So covering them is nothing new. And furthermore, "Latino" is an incredibly vague term. It's not all-encompassing like African-Americans tend to be. They come from dozens of countries with various views. I find the report quite daft in ever suggesting almost all Latinos were previously in the Dem camp. With all the immigrants coming from various central and south countries, we're getting an influx of different views rather than simply Cubans and Mexicans.
Of course Latinos are diverse in thought like every other ethnicity. But that doesn’t mean their political support cannot be measured or swayed as suggested in this report.

The African Latino is always counted. The USA likes to talk these regions up like it's Africa, but the African Latino is the minority. The combined Asian population in these countries is overwhelming compared to the African Latino. The African Latino is maybe 20 percent of all of South America and Mexico, where they are only 1.4 of the population of over 130 million. Not saying they are not important, they are as important as everyone else. I'm gonna say it straight up. The Latino African Meztizo, is socially better educated, more noble and refined. Lots in these countries, reject the African come with their tendency to turn paisanos against paisano over skin color. The African Latino, r very Nationalistic, like most Latinos, we take pride in the country we come from and we r not as obsessed with skin color and race as the USA African American, and most in USA.
