But when it comes to idols, we can see 'life' only in hand made sculptures, created with dedication, passion and pride. Nice documentary with best cinematography, editing a and background score.

But you guys showed us a glimpse of the artworks which are in existence. I'm going to plan a trip to thammampatti and buy a sculpture. I think that would be a respect I should pay. Wonderful craftsmanship in both idol and video making. Ancient wood carving is just amazing. And also I'm really impressed by the lighting used by the camera person and how subtle color grading was.
When I was young, I have sculpt a small Vinayagar using White erukku root (very soft). I knew how difficult it is. If you do a mistake, you cannot correct. This is very difficult work and requires enourmos paatience, 3D visualisation and skill.
