    I like how the son put his hand reassuringly on the woman's shoulder, made high fives and even spoke up for the previous 'counsel' and shook his hand. A real people-person like his dad. Dang, that family knows how to raise kids!

      It's the wrong ruling though. You must stop at a red light before turning right, in RI. Doesn't matter about signs. Signs would only prevent from turning right altogether, but she should have stopped. He let her off because he felt bad for her, and for dramatic effect. But make no mistake, she was guilty of running the red light. He gave her a break.
      "As long as there's no sign or red arrow specifically restricting it, Rhode Island law permits drivers to make a right turn after stopping at a red light. However, drivers need to use caution and follow the normal right-of-way rules when making the turn."

    Dear Chief Judge Frank Caprio, pls allow me to express my emotions on your court case videos. Basically watch the videos and reading articles on my iPad has been part of my first meal of the day for many years. Today after watching this second videos I felt that if I’m able to visit America, I would like to add a session in your court as part of my bucket list. It’s not only the way cases are handle but the whole energy in that room. Whether offenders or not, I noticed everybody is very positive and wanting to speak the truth…. not for getting there’s also the best medicine to soothe a troubled soul…. “laughters n jokes”. May God bless everybody who gives good vibes in your court session. ❤️

    • @IGOROTAKTV
      @IGOROTAKTV 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. The lady persisted shes guilty. How can you pardon a person that says shes guilty. So the judge needs a lawyer to cite the law for her and plead to the court that she's not guilty and that she deserves a break. Yes she did the thing and that thing is not wrong according to the good hearted judge Carpio so the case was dismissed and that she don't need time to pay for the court charges.

    • @user-ho7mg9ol7w
      @user-ho7mg9ol7w 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lady thought she was guilty. The reason she went to court was to ask for more time to pay the fine as she says that she got laid off.
      The judge knew she wasn't guilty which is why he got his son involved

      @@lasttrain8843 No, he knows she is not guilty, as he knows the law. However, as a judge he is not allowed to make the defendants arguments for them.
      A judge is only allowed to make a ruling based on the evidence and arguments presented. The whole "Guilty plea should be struck from the record" is also a legal formality, as that would be evidence against the lady despite her doing nothing wrong.
      This situation is why the court is allowed to appoint a lawyer, and you should usually accept it when offered.
