Its a pity they needed to desperately defend themselves with guns like this due to racial division and tension.

If you mean the man wearing glasses (David Joo) he's using a 9mm Beretta 92FS. Its big & heavy for a 9mm, but it also makes it one of the softest shooting pistols out there. I own one and even with the hottest ammo its still shoots with minimal recoil.
Plus Joo worked at a gun shop - I'm sure he knew how to use a gun. 😄
