I suspect many professional cellists would not even attempt to play this piece. It takes masterful bow technique, intonation, and incredibly precise movement (with soft flexible hands) to make this musical and pleasing to the ear. Suffice it to say I really enjoyed, and was rather bemused by, the piece. Normally I would not have listened to an entire modern piece, but I happy did. I want to thank you for sharing the sheet music, that helped me to understand the complexity and overall composition. 🤙🤙🤙

The piece incorporates freedom in rhythm (no bar), imitating the Korean traditional instrument (geomungo). Some passages are challenging due to the extreme difficulty level, but I found them enjoyable to play.

프리 재즈에 비하면 현대 클래식 작품은 그래도 아직 작곡의 구조가 탄탄해서 그런지 듣는데 편하고 곡 중간 중간 카타르시스 비슷한 쾌감도 느낍니다. 곡의 이해는 전문가분들이 하시는걸로….
