This is the cutest box! You have the best ideas and are such a great teacher!! Like the way you used the magnets, too! Thank you once again for such a great project!
Hello Julie, I have just been watching your crafty tutorial u posted on u tube on January, 6th, 2020 of u demonstrating the diagonal lidded gift box I thought it was so super cute and lovely looking I also thought that u demonstrated so clearly step by step Thank You for a lovely crafty tutorial I have just subscribed to your crafty u tube tutorial channel and really looking forward to receiving and watching your crafty demos .....All the best Lin in South Wales uk x
Thank you Julie for this nice project. You are doing so wonderful things. The explanation is very good. I wish to you and your family a Happy New Year. 😀🤗
I made several of these lovely boxes using papers that I had purchased from Hobbycraft in the UK and put the pictures on Instagram mentioning your TH-cam tutorial. I have been contacted by Hobbycraft to ask if they can feature my box in their online gallery and other communications. I will not do this without your permission as there are terms and conditions attached, but thank you for the tutorial!
This is a wonderful box! What magnets do you use? I purchased some from Home Depot and find them too strong. The glue dots do not want to hold them. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!
Love all your projects! I will be trying this soon. In meantime, a question: I have the new cutting/scoring tool. I LOVE the precision and ease of cutting. However I find the scoring does not give as deep an indentation as on the old cutting/scoring tool and thus use the big scoring tool. Do you find the same to be true?
Hi Helen! That hasn’t been my experience - I think it scores even better that the previous trimmer - it’s a narrower line, but a cleaner score in my opinion. Maybe try applying just a little more pressure?
For some reason I can't find my message I posted so I ask again and hopefully I'm not doing the wrong thing I don't have a scoreboard with 16th on it and I was wondering if you would be able to give us a sample of this without using 16th I really want to make it I love the idea
Further to below, Julie: I think I recognised your scoring machine as SU's? If so, and you are using the inches bodywork ( as apposed to a centimetre slide-in piece ), then I am confused because there is no 3/8's or 7/8's because the markings are in 2's not 1's. There being 7 marks equalling 14 between any of those numbers spread across the score board. I overcame this I thought, in a convoluted fashion of markings and rulers, but my box appearance says otherwise. Any help, much appreciated :-) :-).
Hi Anji! I'm trying to follow your question, but I'm not sure I understand? There are 8 marks for every inch on the Simply Scored, so there is a 3/8 and a 7/8. Each inch is divided by eighths. Hopefully that helps?
@@ThePaperPixie Yes, I got that wrong!! In my 65 year old brain {{ you are no-where there yet but confusion can reign supreme! :-) :-) }} I was determined that the platform SHOULD be in 16ths....... Therefore each mark was then 2 not 1. So with your help and my husband's, I have sorted out the error of my ways :-). In mitigation of my beliefs, other measuring tools (cutters, guillotines and rulers) have tiny increments. Obviously the platform would be very wide if 1/16th's was manufactured. In closing, my boxes are now lovely and are favourites :-).
I just discovered your channel and have subscribed. I am new to this craft and I will be watching this video again and again to hopefully be able to make this cute box.
I want to make this box so bad!!!! Where can I find the lace paper heart doily please? I don’t see it on the Canadian Stampin’ Up site. All the amazon ones are 4 inches. What size is this doily please? What do you suggest please?
I love this but I couldn't get the measurements to work :-( :-(. It's one of those craft items where 1 millimetre or eight of an inch matters? I did my best but I do envy you your talent :-). From experience you need to ascertain just where some, what I term :-), "fenangling" might come into play. { My spell checker had a fit over that one :-) }. But I went a-foul. It is just me I'm sure and practice will make perfect.
Great just starting card making hobby wise,
Thank you so much.

🇬🇧Love this box Xxx
I love this box, and I love that you used the magnets to close.
I'm wondering how many of these can be made out of a 12×12?
Hi Norah! For the lid, you can make 1-1/2 lids from a 12x12 sheet of DSP.

Can i make it in a big size mam?
those strong magnets don't pull off the paper with just using glue dots?
Not with the way they are lined up, since they aren’t being pulled and there is paper between them ❤️

Hi Christina! The Heart Doilies have been discontinued. I don't have any to measure, but the box measures 2-3/4", so they were around that size!
@@ThePaperPixie ok ty!
@@ThePaperPixie ok TY!
Love this box but get confused with all the numbers can you simplify plz these number gremlins scare me thanks tina in the uk x
I’ve made two and there is an eighth of an inch gap between the lid pieces on each one. Any suggestions?
Hi Lori! When you fold the corners in for the diagonal folds, try folding them just short of the score lines and see if that helps?
♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦🇨🇦
I want to know measurements in cm . Please can you share?
I’m so sorry, but I only work in imperial. I recommend using a conversion app like Units Plus to convert to metric.
*Creo que no hace falta entender el Idioma🤔 con las puras imágenes lo intentaré 🙄🤗🤗*
