I have always loved the solos in this early Kiss song. It's so Ace Frehley in style and exposes Ace's individual sound. When Tommy Thayer tries to play this song & solos he just can't get the same feeling and expressions Ace pulls off. There are some great videos on TH-cam showing Ace playing this song and the way it should be played. Ace always had a strong and accurate vibrato and this is a key component of his playing style.

He really added some great melodies to songs. He doesn’t get near enough credit
that's pretty good, you have some nuances down that i had missed. I thought you were off but i listened to the iso guitar track and sure enough, you got it right.

Would you be able to give a little advice? I've learned a handful of these Kiss solos and usually I can play them pretty well around 75-80% speed, but once I kick up the tempo a little faster I can not keep up. I seem to hit a wall and can not play it any faster. This particular solo I've been trying for a few weeks and played it hundreds of times but can't get past 80% speed. Is it a matter of keep trying over and over and eventually I'll get past this barrier? I've recorded and watched my technique and everything seems to be ok there. Thanks
Yes keep persisting. When moving up the tempo on software like Amazing Slow Downer move it by 2% once you have reached your current top speed. Over the next four weeks see if you can improve by that much each week and heading towards 10% faster. Try not to think too much while playing!!
