Hi there! It’s working wonderfully - we’ve relocated it into our guest bathroom and have had no issues whatsoever. Litter tracking is at an all-time low (I’d estimate that this has at minimum 90% less litter tracked out than other boxes we’ve tried - quite possibly more than that but I’d rather underestimate than overestimate). Odor control remains even better than I expected, I don’t know how the waste drawer does such a fantastic job of mitigating it but it does and I’m grateful for it! We’ve also travelled since getting it and it was easy for our cat sitter to use, which was a plus!
This looks amazing, I've had a litter robot 3 for 3 years and the last year it's been super problematic, not cycling, and now it won't connect to our wifi at all... my only concern with this one is if it is perhaps too small for our biggest cat who is 34 lbs and like a baby panther.
The usable litter bed area of the Snow+ litter globe/pan is 11 inches front to back, 15 inches side to side (165 square inches). That's small. Really small and it an enclosed space so it must feel even smaller. In addition you can no longer use magnets to make it function without the top in place - that was the feature I purchased it for. I knew if I left the top off there was a possibility that my cats who avoid enclosed litter boxes would adopt this one. Unfortunately, the globe is much too small, after nearly 3 weeks only the smallest 7.6 pound female uses a $600 machine. (No wonder they're giving $100 discounts!)
Could you elaborate on the magnets what are they used for? I also have the same in mind that my cats doesn’t like enclosed litter box and looking for possibility to get this by not attaching the top at all. Would it still operate normally?
I wish there will be “silica reusable “ non clumping litter plus self cleaning box out there . Less landfill garbage too.We managed to make it work with our automatic litter box and reuse litter after sanitizing it and drying.
I CANNOT get rid of the Waste Drawer Full / Not Flattened error. Ive changed and reinserted bags, checked the sensors, everything & its causing the litter box to not auto clean. I have to unplug & plug it in to reset & force clean it but then the error just comes back. Ive had it for two months now & its driving me crazy i cant find a fix.
What kind of litter do you use? Have you been experimenting? Which brand tracks the least? We're using a corn/ cassava clumping litter that tracks everywhere with this unit and I'm looking for a brand that tracks less.

Great question! Our cats are extremely curious and wanted to explore it immediately, so they recognized what it was right off the bat. If your cats don’t explore straightaway I’d recommend plopping them in a few times. They used it on their own when we had it in the office, and when we eventually moved it into the bathroom, we also kept a conventional litter box (that they were already familiar with) in for the first few days as well so that they could take their time getting comfortable with the new one in a new space!
Question - Does the barrel turn/self-clean when the bonnet is off? My cat is not great in tight spaces so I need him to get used to the litter box first before putting the bonnet on. Thanks for the solid review!
I found a Universal Bag Clip on Etsy (from ForbCrafts) so I can use my own garbage bags and not have to buy the expensive pet snowy ones, they work great!
@easyheimer Yes :) It has round pieces that you can attach the trash bag to so it functions almost like the bags that are made for it. The difference is that the PetSnowy bags have a plastic top and trash bags don't. If you cut little holes in the top of the trash bag you can attach it the same though. The inside appears small and dark. The curtain IMO is kind of silly. Is the litter mat hard or soft? The litter drawer seems to be a nice size and easy to change bags. I had one of the original Litter Robots and back then the cats had to go into this black hole, you couldn't easily see what was stuck to the liner, all since then has changed. My cats didn't like the Bot because nowhere to scratch and even difficult to move around in - one was 7 lbs, the other 10 lbs. Most of the auto litter boxes seem to be built for small cats. @boobookittifukk my LR4 doesn't leak, none of my LR's have ever leaked.

Is this safe? I worry about ones that have spots where the cats can stick theirs heads out of the turning mechanism

Yes! You can but the bag will slip off the plastic parts. I found some universal clips on Etsy that work really well.
