I didn't actually try any of Ola's Solars while we were in London. A lot of the extra price for the Mayones comes from the fact that they're handbuilt in Poland and all made to custom order, so the guitars I use are spec'd to exactly how I want them. I also just subjectively feel that the Mayos are the best guitars for me and they make me feel best about my playing. As with anything that expensive, I recommend getting one in your hands and trying it out for yourself. What Ola is doing with Solar is pretty remarkable though and the fact that he produces them at an affordable price point despite the high-end hardware on them is a testament to how he sees through his vision with any project he takes on!
Each time I hear someone play on a Regius, I feel like it's THE guitar. My solar happens to be perfect for me, but when you want it spec'd your way, I guess the price comes with it, totally understandable. Next time you meet Ola, I suggest you try them, you'll be surprised how good they are! On my side, the Canadian dollar is so low, that I try not to think too much about buying a regius.
Hey Ola, during this vid more than once, the guitar looks pearlescent blue with a bright ass red headstock from the stage lights, I cant be the only one that thought it looked fire AF. Maybe one day a special edition? For example at 11:38. Fire AF.

Hey Ola, I'm moving to Stockholm from Texas soon. If I were to bring my 5150, do you think it would be easy to get it modified for 220V European outlets? If so, do you have a recommendation for someone who works on amplifiers in Stockholm?
If it's not a permanent move then get an external step down transformer (~800W ish) and you're sorted without breaking the bank. If it is then you probably will have to change the transformer, unless it doesn't already contain the right coils for 230v? Sadly I can't personally recommend a good amp tech in Stockholm since a) I do my own electronics and b) I live much further south, but it's a fairly simple job for a tech. A quick google brings up lh-musik.se and www.olainsulander.com as the best techs in town. Alternatively you can do an Eddie Van Halen and play your amp on way higher voltage! It's sounds awesome for a short while and then not so much... :p
