Day 29 Puppies Eat Solid Food For 1st Time

Here is another fun video as we watch these puppies progress and mature. This is their very first exposure to semi-solid food, and they showed great interest in it. It will be amazing to watch as they continue to grow, and in a matter of days will be eating entire bowls full of food.

I have a Chihuahua and that birthed 6 babies and she seems exhaustedof giving them milk. They are 3 weeks old now do you think I can cook them some soup with small pieces of chicken in it since they are small they are like 1/3 the size of the one in this video?

My puppies are 2,5 weeks old. All of them are walking and barking. I was told to start feeding them solid food before the 3 week is over, so they get used to solid food.

All litters are different. These guys were definitely our slowest to develop puppies we've ever had! We usually don't start solid food until around 21 days at the earliest though as we've seen puppies have trouble with choking before that.

Yes this was a super late blooming litter. We got them later than we normally get puppies from breeders (we are not breeders ourselves we occasionally help out with raising litters for breeders through). These guys have all turned out great, but they were definitely a little weird at first and I agree that they appeared to have swimmers syndrome at first, but were all walking and running very shortly after this. We've followed along with them as they've matured and they're all doing terrific.

Some pups will get diarrhea adding water( you can try) chicken broth for dog might work better) give our Golden Retriever diarrhea. And you don't want that lol.
