  • Time to continue our journey down the ICW to Key Largo. We needed Fuel, Water, Pump out and some groceries. Only place we could do all was to continue south. So come along as we motor our way down the ICW in the Florida Keys.

We raise our sails every chance we get. Unfortunately this journey did not present any opportunity to raise them. Most of the time we were head into the wind or had very little to no wind. And in shallow water with crab pots so tacking was not a great option so we just motored. We will even raise and motor sail if that is an option. Thanks for the question.

Never a mention of water depth or boat draft. That is a major issue on the bayside of the Keys so that makes this video useless and I stopped watching.

Yes that is very important information. I do make some references to water depth at our Anchorage and when we were on way back to Pumpkin Key. I don't know if I mentioned our draft without going back but I usually do and have in past videos. We draft 5 ft and most of this journey we were in 8 to 10 ft of water with our lowest being 7 ft. I will try and make sure in future videos like this that I include that information. Thanks for the catch.
