I have an old firing system, 12 years and starting to fail. Any decent priced systems you would recommend. Still hand lighting mortars so looking to do cakes.
You could build your own 48 cue wireless system for under $100 if you want. Easy if you have a friend that knows arduino at all, probably still possible if you don't. Can set off your show with phone, laptop, timed to music, or just swipe to fire. 15 amps per cue, 130 amps shared across simultaneous cues, so 30 ematches or 15 talons per cue so for example with 30 ematches in each cue you could fire 240 ematches at the same time. Nothing comes anywhere close to those specs or amount of cues for that money. Let me know if you want to try this route and I'll give you parts list.
@@TMS5100 Sainsmart 16ch relay boards. A arduino mega can run two boards without anything else or you can get $2 i2c adapters (one per 16ch relay board) and then you can run 8 board off one arduino mega. For my last show I bought seven arduino mega's and fourteen 16ch relay boards (use two relay boards for each firework board 20ft from other boards) for 224 cues and everything ran flawless (off 7 rc 4s lipo batteries).
Thanks Dave, always teaching, I have a few questions. How may I ask? My shows are advancing, I could be drinking all day, but time to shoot, I souber up, possibly to fast, even as I ask this question I already know the answer. Thank you again
Yeah. I've worked in the oil and gas industry. Brass tools are common. I have done a controlled and safe experiment to see if I could ignite gunpowder and cardboard with a steel awl. I couldn't. But I do have a brass awl now..... because why not. I've smoked a cigarette next to my work table. I now take my lighter out of my pocket and set it away from the work area. Necessary no...... reasonable..... yes
I always show any friend whos helping me set up these same things about impact on mjg help teach them to respect it great vid.
Really thinking about getting a box of these to try out. Thanks for the great info Dave!!
I am new and you did teach me a lot. Thank you 🙏🏼
Im curious why POLARITY matters with these initiators, and nobody seems to mention this....
Thanks Dave. How many versions of the DB04r have you seen?
Hey Dave can you tell us where we can buy your brand of fireworks, and what other brands have the ports for ematch

Would you say the MJG are more stable and safer than regular e-match?
No, they require the same precautions as regulated electric match
