Confuoco Pietra Ligure 2011

Il Confuoco è una manifestazione che si tiene ogni anno in Liguria, la domenica prima di Natale. Risale al 1300 ed è una tradizione medievale.
Il sindaco della città brucia una colonna d'alloro e se la fiamma parte dritta vuol dire che l'anno sarà buono. Questa è la manifestazione di quest'anno

That's a laurel column, it's a traditional thing in Pietra Ligure. Every year before Christmas the mayor burns laurel to see if the year is going to be good. If the flame starts up straight it's good. The day of the event it was windy. The flame started straight than because of the wind went in other directions. Anyway you are welcome :)
