Include everything in your budget plans ie Envelopes, Stamps, Go Pro the works. I even budget £10 per week for parking fines/box junctions etc. When you add your expenses up divide it by 46 (weeks) to give you a weekly target. I don’t work weekends so my budget is done divided by 230 days (46 weeks x 5 days). The 46 weeks is to allow for Holidays and Illness. Allows you time off with no income and no expenditure to worry about. If you don’t have six weeks off, happy days it’s all pure income. Class 1 is great but have a real good think if you go that route do you want to tramp out etc ?. There may not be a great difference financially between both. Great vids and good luck.

I m in a slightly different position to you and most other courier drivers because i am self employed and semi retired and based in North Manchester I have done courier work for 25 years. 20 years as a multi drop van driver for an engineering company, and the last 5 years as a self employed courier. I am 66 but as long as my body allows me to drive a van, then i will continue to do just that. I am not on the CX because i totally rely on my private clients, most of whom have been customers for nearly all of my 25 years in this trade. I love the job, and most if all, i love meeting people.... Keep going, keep enjoying....i may drop you an email. 👍

Is it worth getting a Luton van or a medium van is better for the jobs you get as a courier ? I know expenses can differ but want to know what kind of jobs mainly(or the most jobs ) can you get on the app?

@peterkasum1428 my plan is to try go Luton or xlwb. Just ups the chances of backloads etc
Been driving class 1 for 33 years retired now very stress full it’s a war zone out there now stay in your van
