  • A team passing and moving drill with progressions into one-two's and an end product - shot on goal. Build patterns of play in your team by creating triangles and passing the ball in game like scenarios (into the middle, out wide, down the line).
    Perfect for U9's, U10's, U11's, U12's.
    Key coaching point: Peel away from the defender before receiving the ball.

    This looks like a great, fun drill, I'll be trying this one out tonight with my U10/11 team here in Ladysmith, Vancouver Island.

    This is a great drill! Teaches solid passing, receiving, and build out patterns. Do you change the pattern? Have you made it into a race? That could be fun. Or I was thinking the last guy takes it in for a shot.

    This is great! I'll definitely be using this as a warm-up for my team. Thanks for this!

      This won't work for the warmup. This is a closed no choice based exercise that aims at Improving - Movement, passing accuracy, and communication, For kids and even at the u-14 level this is not a warmup this is an exercise in the main part of your training plan far away from the warmup or even the finishing part. I have am an UEFA B license student that's why I tell you

      I normally coach u18s. A few days ago I subbed in to coach u8's and they couldn't even get in a circle. How in the world did you do this drill???

      @@alfiend331 started very slow… once they got one ball going pretty good, then we added a second ball… then a third ball… also, I had two other dads helping out

      I would not do this with 6 yr olds. They need to focus on dribbling and defending. Let them dribble a lot because they have to learn that fundamental skill. Plenty of time in the future to do passing.

    • @HarrowUnited
      @HarrowUnited  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@barryanderson3568 Amazing! Main point to make is to pretend that the cone is a "defender". They have to move away to receive the ball otherwise the pass will be easily intercepted. Peeling away from the defender will give them the space they need for their first touch. It's a tricky concept for them to get used to, but with a few repetitions they'll get into the habit of it!

      Haha maybe if you're low skilled. These kids seem to be doing fine. Those are the combinations you see in game situations
