Overall I would say a good week for debuts.

Throwback: Here we have the very first year of the 2010s decade.... 2010. Now to put it kindly, this is a year that....... hasn't been very well-received amongst this community. In fact, many people here would outright say this year was one of the worst in recent memory, alongside 2009. Initially, I was kinda under that mindset as well when I first started genuinely taking music seriously (because I just parroted what everyone else said rather than genuinely forming my own opinions LOL), but now in 2024, when I look back at it, I personally think there is a lot to like about this year-end list, even though I absolutely understand why this and 2009 get so much flack in this community. This year basically continued 2009s Club Boom trend and multiplied it by 100, resulting in a lot of songs about partying and having a good time over blaring, loud, colorful beats. Even hip-hop did this in 2010. Now, a lot of people would say this style has aged pretty badly, but personally, as a sucker for upbeat pop music, I actually kinda miss this carefree, upbeat style! Beyond that, I think there are a lot of iconic songs if people dig deeper, and some hidden gems that I really appreciate! So yeah, while I dont think either 2009 or 2010 were completely perfect for the Hot 100, I still have warmed up to them A LOT and I don't think either of them deserve nearly the amount of hate they get.
Get Shaboozey with The Bar Song (Tipsy) to number 1 next week. That song deserves it more. Post Malone ft Morgan Wallan song sucks and the two Sabrina Carpenter songs have some pore lyrics to even be in the top 10.
