@@derricklogan2058 The real reason why "The Green Hornet" only lasted for 1 season was because it was too boring for most children in the 1960s like me.
The late Van Williams had said in interviews that he was glad the Green Hornet only lasted one year. It was an incredibly difficult show to do both physically and mentally. He said they were on a very tight schedule and had to produce each episode in an incredibly short period of time. William Dozier also told ABC/Greenwood productions that if the show was to come back for a second season he wanted it to be a 1-hour show to expand the storylines/depth of characters (there was talk of developing Britt Reid's relationship with Miss Case). However, ABC balked at this as the cost would be too high (again the idea of future profits in syndication simply wasn't known at that time) so the show was canceled.
Williams also went to the producer and asked him to give Lee a bigger role in the show, and the producer refused because he didn't want the focus shifting away from the lead. Such a big mistake on the producer's part.
