Nice Review! Have you had any issues when looping the kite? With a low V and camera 5-10cm from the splitter the lines do cross above the mount right? Thanks!!!
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar The X2 fits physically, but unfortunately due to it being a bit thinner, stiching doesn't work well, you get to see the black frame of the mount in many cases.
Interesting. You looping kite and doing any kind of rotations and it all good! I'm using the same line mount while hydrofoiling and steering lines constantly getting stuck behind the screw heads or under the screw plates. Pretty much every second loop. Tried to play with space where I mount it and it does not really matter if it is closer to the splitter or further. Lines getting stuck anyway.
It’s true that once I experienced the back line stucking behind the screw, but this happened just once in plenty of session that I had, and it happen with short bar, but it’s true that this is something that might happen luckily when happened to me, my kite didn’t steer on one side, so I was easily able to put the line away from the screw
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar Yes, as I mentioned before - I'm mostly hydrofoiling so using smaller kites (compare to TT riders) and maybe this fact adds a bit to this issue as lines are not as tense as when you riding TT. Anyway I sent my concerns to insta and hoping that they will address it when designing holder for the X4 model. I think it just a matter to make screw heads not as sticking out and squarish as it is now and close somehow those sharp teeth between holder body and opening for the hot line. And I just wanted to say - your videos are awesome and your current home spot is beautiful. We wanted to visit it this May but life steer us the other way. Still hope to get there in near future.
Ohh, not nice to hear that. I didn’t have any problem of damaging my lines, even when the lines have been very twisted around the mount on 30+ knots… can you please explain a bit more in detailed how you got your lines damages with this mount?
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar nothing in particular. The fixed line is ok. The one that can move freely is fried. Maybe I mounted the camera too far up and thus created some unnecessary tension. Like maybe 1m above the V
@@philippesser9187 aaa ok, yes this sounds like you said, made unnecessary tension and while it had small movements the line got damaged, so the camera mount we definitely don’t want to mount it to far from the V. Thank you for learning from your experience, and sorry to hear that your line is damaged 🙏🏻
Had the same problem. Completely broke the frame. When you are kiting in gusty winds and you don’t always hqve line tension, the screws will catch the steering lines and bring you in big pain! There has to be some cover vor the sharp elements that lines don’t be destroyed!
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar The edges of the line fittings are quite sharp. I sanded them a bit to smoothen everything. I would recommend doing so. After a couple of sessions my lines are still fine.

Yes with low V the lines cross above the camera, so very comfortable to loop or doing any kind of rotations 🙌🏼
Thanks man! Will try this weekend 🔥
Do you know if this mount could also be used with the X2? I know the camera are slightly different in size but, maybe, it's usable....
I have tried it to use X2 with the rope mount but unfortunately doesn’t fit perfectly, looks like it could slide out.

Cool gadget! Thanks for your review
Thanks for watching! :))
many people complained about Insta360 getting leaks, did you had any problems with waterproofness?
Yes I had this problem with Insta360 X2, with Insta 360 X3 I didn’t have any problem last 3 months 🙏🏻

I used the mount on a totally new bar and destroyed my lines. Did you have any problems after using the mount?

Is there a way to mount this on something rigid, like a fishing pole?
I believe so, just I'm not sure how stable it would be.
Do you have any issues with sea moisture on the Insta360?
I never had any issues with sea moisture on the insta360 🙏🏻
Can you fix the flipping image in the insta 360 app ?
Not really :/ at least I didn’t find the way to fix it.
Any remote??
Yes, I have also the remote but personally I’m never using it
