Willie's mama and daddy would be so thankful that you are preserving their daughter's headstone. Her death is so tragic. I can't even imagine the grief the whole family experienced when she passed. How nice that you were able to contact a Byrd family member to tell him what you are doing. The whole Byrd Family Plot looks so good now. It looks cared for and cherished. Thank you so much for doing this work for all of us.
The Byrd's are grateful for your interest and big hearts, those resting there, and their decendants as well, am certain. Nothing shows more respect for history and those gone before than caring for graves and cemeteries. Excellent and hard work! I enjoyed watching the love. ❣️❣️
It warms my heart to see you and your friends working to save and restore these old tombstones and monuments. Real people lived meaningful lives. Some lived to old age and died surrounded by loving family. Some died tragically and died too young, like little Willie. Thank you for honoring them. Thank you for telling their stories. Thank you for fixing the old graves so that future generations may know their stories. Heaven knows, you have been to so many graveyards completely forgotten, in the woods somewhere. In a terrible state of decay. You and your friends are doing a very good thing. Thank you.❤
My husband has a neglected family cemetery in Georgia. His father tended to it before he died and was buried there. My husband has Alzheimer’s an is the last one who had an interest in it. There are Civil War graves there. Hate to se it go into ruin. Keep up your god work for those who have gone before.
You are such a warm caring man and kind heart . and your friends are good friends to help you. To get those jobs done.. I just love your videos you.sure a very special man God bless you and your family.
Thank you for repairing the headstones and foot stones. Not many people reach out and do things like this. Just goes to show that some people have a conscious and care about the others.
I am honoured to bear witness to all the work you and Mr Dan have done for the Byrd family. An excellent job of ensuring their time on earth is properly honoured. May they all now Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father knowing that they are still acknowledged today with much love and care. Robert and Mr Dan god bless you both and may you both reap the rewards associated with such kindness. And l too want to say thank you. You are both wonderful humans.
Just want to say, God bless you Robert for doing all this, along with Scott, Brian, and Mr. Dan.. would of been nice if you would of had a bag or two of pea gravel to put under the bases to bring the base up and level it up, but with that said, thinking Dan had the great idea with working with what you have, and digging and removing all those old bricks and relevel everything, and motor and then rebrick and then level base of headstone and done! As Dan stated towards the end of the video, I am sure the Byrd family would be well pleased with all the work you all did in leveling all the head and foot stones, Great Job!
Character means doing what is right, because it is right, especially when no one is watching. I suspect you all would be doing this even if you did not have thousands of people watching. Men of character. Much respect and gratitude for taking us along.
Have the remaining family members reached out to the team? I'm sure that they must have been stunned to learn that complete strangers were doing so much work at their families plot. Robert, Dan and the rest of this team words of respect for what you have done for the family are just beyond me at this moment. Love, respect and uttermost amazement at what an outstanding piece of work that you have all completed. God Bless You ALL New subscriber from Bonnie Scotland.👍
Mr. Bird would be happy you, Robert, and Mr. Dan with others are caring for his home and family plots. I want to say thank you for having a heart for history.
As a perfectionist I love that you took the time & effort to properly reinstall & preserve little Willie's stone. I'm sure there probably some short cuts you could have taken but you didn't you did a proper & thorough job. Excellent work. Kudos to you Dan & Scott . It looks wonderful.
Robert what a great job you are all doing at the Old Byrd Farm grave site, it's looking so good. You all did a great job fixing up the graves themselves. It's fascinating watching you move them and clean them up. I am sure they are extreme happy people still care for the ones that were here before us. So glad there are people like you in this world that care so much about our past. We all know it has good and bad about our histories but we need to learn from it and move forward. Thank you for all you are doing.
It is so Awesome that you take the time and restore your Great Great's Family Graves... If I knew Exactly where my Great Great Grandparents were Buried, I'd do the same thing... Keeping their memory and History Alive!...
Good job Fellas. An adage I read back in 1991 said "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you find the time to go back and re-do it?"
Excellent work guys , well done really great to see someone cares , Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them. There's way too many neglected gravestones and cemeteries around the world, love your channel 🙏
You guys are seemingly Good Christian men along with the older Robert, God knows your hearts 💕 and will remember such kind deeds you've done, and continue to do! This will NOT escape his ALL seeing Eyes! Many Thanks to: Robert, Robert, Dan, Brian, Scott...I pray I left no one out, if I did, Please Forgive me!!!
Robert and Mr Dan and Scott you worked so hard! The results are great! Looks so much better! Thanks and bet some of the Byrd descendants will be grateful
Hi there, just watched your video and I feel so privileged to just watch you do what you do. I am so far away from you but it stirs the emotions inside of me, watching you care for your own folk and showing such respect for them. God will reward you boys, have no fear. A friend of the South, in Bonnie Scotland 🏴 ❤
Another from Scotland here to express my gratitude to these men for going the extra mile what a transformation from that day you first seen this family lot till now. God Bless you all

Thanks for this double feature! It was very interesting to see all the steps and placement of the parts, especially after the intensive cleaning of the stones and monuments! Two thumbs up!
You guys continue to amaze me with your kindness and compassion for others. Seeing this today reminds me that there are STILL good people in this world. It touched my heart. Huge Thank You!!! May God continue to bless you. :)
Thank you for doing this . Can u imagine if it would have fell on someone ; which has happened before ? You are such a polite man that you see this as nothing more than an honest days work but really you are preserving history for this young man and for his ancestors ..cant even imagine how much that cost back when it was built. My poor grandmas headstone has sunk further into the ground each year when we make the trek north to visit my family graves. We should try to lift it but fear we will harm it ..been in Earth since 1966...not near as old as this one
They are pleased. It's been a long time coming. And I know Mr Byrd will be right there working on the house with you also. His dreams live on thru you. Your doing good Robert and Mr Byrd is proud of you. Some grass seed sowed in there around the stones will help keep them in place. Grass roots are like anchors and hold things in place. Looks good
You guys are amazing!! So kind and thoughtful about past families long gone. I have recently found your channel and have been bing watching. Throughly entertaining, educational about the South history. Thank you for filming these cemetaries, bridges, churches, roads, old plantations. Much appreciated from a senior couple from Northern California.
I really think it's a good thing you guys are doing It will probably last another 100 yrs Now that I've been watching you guys doing this I think i might be able to take care of some old grave 🪦 stone's I watched you guys clean stones I need to teach some of my younger relatives how to do this You guys always surprise me when i watch It's like looking for an old grave yard We've been doing some of that Some of my relatives owned farms and got buried on the property It's in the woods and when we want to visit we have to get permission to go to the cemetery It's at least a mile to get there I'm glad i found your channel Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
