It would have if left to fend for itself. Usually the Africanized Hybrid Bees, when they get to high of a mite load, will abscond. I did not put any of their sealed brood into their new home. I gave them drawn empty comb, a protein patty, and sugar syrup to rebuild. This way only the mites on the bees themselves are transferred into the new hive body. After they get re-established I will treat them for mites.
