안녕하세요? 초면에 실례지만 과제 제출 관련해서 하나 물어볼려고 합니다. 크리스씨가 답변을 해주기는 했지만 제가 아재라 컴알못이라서요..Windows10 환경에서 Pycharm으로 코드를 작성하고 MS word로 report 작성 후 pdf 만들어서 제출하려 합니다. Gradescope에는 test 코드가 작동하고, 제출된 것을 확인했고 pdf를 Canvas에 올리려하는데요, 혹시 에러가 날 가능성도 있는지요? Syllabus에 VM을 이용해서 Linux환경에서 하라고 설명이 많이 나와있어서요...결국 Windows10에서 작업을하나 VM의 리눅스에서 작업을 하나 같은 거 아닌지... 혹시 아신다면 답변 부탁합니다.
@@13공수특전여단 아 저도 아직 과제를 하는중이라 확실하지 않은데요. VM 을 사용하라는것은 Widows 와 linux 가 환경이 다르기 때문에 요구하는것으로 알고 있습니다. 어차피 conda environment 를 사용해서 하는게 결국엔 가상화를 이용하는것이라 큰 문제는 없을 것으로 보입니다. 참고로 이번 과제는 Gradescope 에서 test code 를 판별하는것은 code 가 정상 작동 하는것만 보는것으로 알고 있습니다. 다른 수업에서도 VM ware 나 virtual box 를 이용해서 리눅스를 요구하는 경우가 많으니 이번기회에 알아두시는것도 좋을것 같습니다.
@@investor0005 준표님 자세한 답변 매우 감사합니다! 앞으로도 VM 사용할 일이 많군요..저는 그저 머신러닝 알고리즘 잘 배우고 파이썬 숙달하는게 목표인데 M 사용하고 리눅스 같은 다른 OS를 사용하는 이런 게 과제보다 더 어렵게 느껴지네요 ㅠㅠ 하여간 답변 감사드립니다!!
@@13공수특전여단 OMSCS 가 생각보다 더 어렵습니다 CS master 를 그리 쉽게 주지 않겠죠 . 커뮤니케이션이 원활하지 않은것이 큰 이유인거 같습니다. 저도 끝까지 포기하지 않고 완주하고 싶습니다. 참고로 Virtual box 를 사용하게 되고 Ubuntu lts 를 하면 창이 auto size adjustment 가 안됩니다. MX Linux 를 사용하시던지 ubuntu 를 하시던지 VM ware 를 추천합니다.
Did you stay on top of the required readings? I'm wondering if that's necessary for exams. I'm taking the course currently, and trying to keep on top of the readings, but getting sidetracked with the projects (keeping up with the lectures though).
Hi Chris, thanks for the video. I'm trying to figure out how to do the things you showed here. I like how you figured out how to use Robin Hood's API to make trades. I noticed Udacity is now offering an ”artificial intelligence for trading course”. What do you think the major difference between the artificial intelligence for trading and machine learning for trading is?
Great question! I looked at the basic overview for "Artificial Intelligence for Trading" on Udacity and from the looks of it, the difference seems to be that ML4T focused on working with stock data, the financial aspect, and then machine learning techniques. The AI4T course does not seem to spend much time working with stock data or talking about the financial aspect. It looks like it jumps right into indicators and developing strategies. The AI4T course gets into things like neural networks which ML4T does not. It seems like AI4T may be a more in depth course but that is only from looking at the overview. About the Robinhood API, yes, it took me a little bit to figure out how to interact with the API but once I figured it out I was able to make a trader. I had to stop working on that personal project when my next class started but if it is something you are interested in, I would be happy to help you with anything that I learned or even make a video if enough people are interested :)

Dear Chris, I finished Project 5 now and doing Project 6. I have a question for Exam #1. Is it enough to prepare for the exam with the Practice Exam and Mid term Study guide? I am very nervous to take Exam #1.
It was a little bit ago but I don’t remember the exam being crazy difficult. If you have taken notes on the lectures and done well on the practice, I think you’ll do fine.
Thank you for sharing your valuable experience. I took the CS 7646 ML4T in my first semester. How can I set up the environment? Will the setting environment be provided? I am not able to find out how to set up the environment. I read the Ubuntu should be installed, however, I don't know how to set up the Ubuntu. If you are possible, could you introduce how to set up the environment?
Not totally sure what you mean by the environment. You do assignments in this course just using your regular IDE and then writing a report. Can you clarify what environment you’re talking about?
@@ComputerGuyChris According to the Syllabus, I have to install Linux and submit my assignment by using Gradscope. I have no experience to use Linux OS. So I am concerned about installing the Linux OS. There are some ways to install Linux such as Ubuntu and VMware. Which one is the most effective way and which one can preserve my Windows OS?
@@13공수특전여단 we never had to use linux, using gradescope, you should just be able to upload your files directly on whatever os you have. I would reach out on piazza and make sure you are understanding the assignment correctly
@@ComputerGuyChris Dear Chris, yesterday, I uploaded my code into the Gradscope for the test. The code was submitted and run successfully. The code was made by the windows 10 environment. Also, I will upload my report pdf file to Canvas. But I am afraid of the grader or Professor/TA does not acknowledge my assignment. (I am a beginner at computers.) In your case, is there any problem not using the Linux environment? I am sorry for asking twice. But I am a little afraid of that.
