Awesome stuff Joey! I'm just getting into it again since I did it as a child with my dad. He used to make weed guards out of polypropylene rope. I've been trying to replicate it, but I'm having trouble remembering if he did the weed guard before or after we tied the jigs. Could you possibly do a video on it? Because of a traumatic brain injury from Iraq I learn better by watching and listening while I follow along tying. This video is actually why I got back into it!
I appreciate your time I just got some jig tying tool's and I'm going to be trying my hand at making my own but I didn't know exactly how that whip finish tool worked, your video cleared that up very well!
Thanks for the video, I literally tied my first jig today, so this was very helpful. What size thread do you use? I have 140 currently, but broke it off 3 times tying my first one, which was probably my fault, but couldnt help be thing that heavier thread would be easier to work with.
Very informative! Thank you sir. Love the Pearl Jam in the background.

Very nice, Joey!
Apex is a solid inexpensive vise; great for beginners and good for experienced tiers. I cary one as a travel vise when we need to tie stream side.
