I recognize the background piano music during the first story. I’ve played it, and got sleepy while doing so. Maybe it should be playing when getting horizontally comfortable at bedtime.
I enjoyed reading this story. I am glad Bob's mother did not get to inflicted herself on her DIL's parents. There is a reason why Bob does not want to live with his mother and why her husband divorced her. She does not listen and is impossible to live with.
It seems in a lot of these stories, the MIL expects the DIL to forsake her own parents when she gets married. That is not how it goes that is not a thing you can’t expect her to always go to your place for the holidays. She’s got her family and she will not ignore them for aMIL
As much as I enjoy listening to these stories, it could've been shorter: about 10 minutes shorter. A MIL who's angry that her DIL is taken care of her own parents. What a bad DIL.🙄

This was just painful listening to. You don't get interrupted while texting. Just spell it out! That's what REAL people do.

These are Chinese stories. It's a culture thing, and it does not resonate with an American reader.
