I really like this deck a lot. Being an herbalist I just love all the plants. I have the indie version and the cards are gigantic, so big that they are hard to use. It is just a beautiful, rich deck. One of my favorite hierophants of all time!!!
thank you for reminding me of this deck! I saw it last year and then forgot to do research on it. It's gorgeous and although I say I don't "like" animal decks.....I keep buying them, hee hee....this one looks so deep and full of meaning. Putting it on my wishlist for 2022! Thanks for the lovely walk through, Lisa.
I’ve had this deck for awhile- I love how much thought is put into each card and that the book explains everything. I think it’s a beautiful nature deck that is so earthy and genuine- great for nature lovers!
The longer I watched this, the more I liked it. I'll study plants and animals and their energies, meanings and symbolism during 2022 and have a whole list of tarot and oracle decks I'd like to buy. Maybe I need this deck on that list! 😅 I like the guidebook and how much informations there are - and I like the way it's written from your sample reading. I like that there are specific plant and not like "some rose" or "some orchid" and that it has birds, insects and reptiles and all the animals we usually don't see (that often) in other animal decks - and animals I don't know as much about now.
I love that there is a smaller mass market version of this deck available now. I have had the independent version of this deck for years. I love it, mostly because the guidebook is so fabulous. It’s also interesting because there are no mammals. The independent version has cards that are 4 inches by 7 inches (approx 10x18 mm). Makes it difficult to do a spread with them, so I may have to get a copy to get the smaller cards.
I love decks that make me want to study! The further you got into the video the more attractive it got. It might not have gone on my A-list, but I definitely have my eye on it now.
Lisa, I admire your attention to all the details in the graphic design and production! That’s the designer in me geeking out lol! I’m with you on the thin black line on the cards becoming squared off at the bottom of each card. But I will say the book looks great as do the illustrations. Love your reviews!,
That tarot cloth! definitely keeping a close eye out for that one! This deck was recommended to me directly from a Barnes and Noble employee, which I never expected to happen! He said the guidebook was amazing!
Thanks for that great review. If I wasn’t such a rank beginner, I’d seriously consider this one. I can see myself being very interested in a nature based deck in the future-once I’m a bit more familiar with Tarot.
I have several animal decks and some botanical/plant decks, but I love the combination in these cards! These are really reflective of the natural world as a whole. The book looks great, these are going on my wish list for sure! Good job Lisa!
Bravo! This deck is a solid hope for tarot, that could be a well informed and meaningful decks out there. Thank you Lisa a will look for this a future purchase for sure
Beautiful deck and the guidebook… wow! I don’t have a deck like this at all. This would be perfect . As you kept saying.. I’m not going into it.. I was saying out loud Yes! Look at the book! Lol 😂
I love your in depth review and honesty. It is a beautiful deck I'm just not sure If I'm quite ready for it yet. I would really need to devote time to study it. 💖
After watching your Take on this deck My interest was very much sparked! I spent this weekend Evaluating anything else I could find on this deck and and thank you! My deck should arrive in 2 days thank you for the introduction❤👍🏻
I had never heard of this deck before watching. It is on my wishlist now. 💕 The book kind of reminds me of the one for the Star Tarot. Multiple pages for each card, and a good explanation of the symbolism of all of the elements.
Hi Lisa thank you for doing your first impressions on this deck I purchased it months ago and trimmed the borders because I couldn’t really shuffle them . I put them away and haven’t worked with them but seeing your review I’m going to bust them out right now and give them a go again. Thank you Lisa ❤️🙏🏻
Ooooh good timing! I’ve put this deck up for same but it hasn’t sold. Maybe you will convince me to keep it instead :) I have considered trimming it like Suzanne did.
Thank you for this first impressions. I got this deck earlier this year and didn't really connect with it. But, after hearing your thoughts, I will be exploring it again. I initially trimmed all the borders off and as I recall, needed to do that because the two decks were VERY different in size. It looks and handles much better in the smaller size.
@@Lisa_Papez Oh wow, too bad I missed them. Will be eyeballing the site like a friggin lunatic then ;) Glad for the two of you they sold out as fast as they did though !! Thank you for your reply and time :)
@@RawSpirited Oh I think there was just a couple! Definitely more to come, hopefully as soon as next week.... hot tip, she usually adds new listings late on Thursday evenings!
Love these, just might have to get them. As an animal nut I could name just about every card. Lol. I was hoping that was a Merlin for the magician! Huge selling point for me. I did a guided shamanic meditation in a group setting at a local metaphysical store a couple years ago. Honestly was a big skeptic going into, like "yeah right, this is so not going to work for me." Boy was i wrong. Lol. I still have very vivid memories of what I saw and looking at my notes it brings it all back. Anyways, in the one to meet spirit animals a Merlin showed up in mine, and even landed on my knee, seemed I could actually feel the weight and talons. When we shared what we saw with the group, the instructor thought it was pretty neat that the merlin made physical contact on the first meeting. Idk, take it for what you will but anyways, got happy over that Magician card. Lol
Ive been on the fence about this one for a while. I do like the inclusion of plants AND animals. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. The guidebook does look really good too. Back on the list for sure.
I have the orient tarot and this deck reminds me of how bad I am with animals deck. I try to study them and their symbolism but they are not fixed association .. which confuse me. I think my brain isn't built to use animal decks that way .. especially if you associate each animal with a card .. unless you decide on one system and one deck and study that. I am more of a universal person and unless that animal means this universally .. I wouldn't study that system >< .. I don't mind animal facts though :3 .. I am reading the orient tarot guidebook but I am forgetting most of the associations. my memory is that of a fish which means I need to find a way to make things make sense to me and until now .. it didn't stick. Maybe I will try animal/card keywords and see how i like it.
I'm really into animals and animal decks, but I just don't care for this one. And while it is minor, the rounded plus squared corners REALLY irritates me for some odd reason. To each their own of course. 😊

I had the same problem with the size differece, so trimmed it.
Very cool deck!!! Thank you! 🥰 Love decks like this!!! 🦉🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Didn't realize the cards were tarot size. I remember the LARGE cards. My sister and I will definitely but it now 🙂
