As much as I would like to rant about how much of an asshole Sungjoon is, the best part about this scene is Jang Nara's acting... the way she's able to portray how broken she is upon realizing that her husband probably stopped loving her a long time ago and that he's in love with the person he cheated on her with - she's able to express those emotions so flawlessly. When I watched this, I felt what her character must have been feeling. That realization, that feeling of defeat, that feeling of being broken - it's no longer just the feeling of "sadness" that you overpowers you, but the feeling of "emptiness". God, Jang Nara never fails to amaze me with every role she takes on. She's the best part about this drama.

Jang Nara is such an amazing actress. My heart went out to her character :( I just hate it when things like this happen. I had to help my friend move past a relationship that ended in the same way and I cried for her so much because she’s such a good person but the hurt changed her... nothing in her life seemed good or worth living, she wanted to be given justice but it was just not happening... i wish people wouldn’t hurt others like this, it also scared me more about marriage as there really seems to be no guarantee.
Jang Nara is such a brilliant actress. The different emotions running through her eyes. The calmness is her voice yet you can hear the anguish and sadness in it. 👏👏👏

He lost a child but she did as well and as a mother who carries the child she blamed it on herself, that’s why she took it so hard. As for the other girl she and him both pitied themselves and took that as “love”. She probably thought she was special that we would be willing to cheat on his with to be with her. His reasons were so lame that he found comfort at another woman saying he couldn’t tell/share his worries and problems because he said he wouldn’t want to hurt her more, as they both will crumble. That’s the reason why you married her dude, for the both of you to work things out together. What he did was way more painful than sharing his grief with his wife. Too ironic! Also to add, I think he loves his ambition more than his wife. I think he kinda sees the opportunity of dating the daughter of his boss a better option. Jung sun's husband has an inferiority complex. He never felt worthy of Jung sun, almost like he won the jackpot and couldnt believe it when she agreed to marry him. Marrying a highly sought after, rich, well educated, smart, classy woman with good pedigree when in his mind his pedigree has a blemish he is ashamed of and cant even speak to his wife about. That is why he connected with that child who is going to learn hard life lessons after coveting another woman's husband. She is not innocent, she's learning very quickly how to scheme for what she wants and suddenly becoming part of a wealthy family will show her that the world will usually let you have what you want if you have money and the right pedigree. That's why she felt emboldened to cling to him after he said he was breaking it off and then sent the email. She knew she had him wrapped around her finger because he loves her. It is that love borne out of pity and seeing himself in her such that he connected with her on that level that will destroy him. He is right. He is undeserving of Jong sun and he has now clearly made his choice. Everyone will have to live with the consequences now. He will walk down the same path his father walked down. Jung sun had her faults for sure but like someone else said, her pushing him away is not enough reason for him to cheat. Even after he cheated she was willing to try to put it behind her and make their marriage work but what does he do...his gives bullshit excuses about broken glass.. who is he to act like the victim here. Pshew.Jung sun is not a pushover though. I suspect she will rather burn the house down (i.e. her husband) than let it go to someone else even if it means she gets hurt in the process.
I hope that the two leads get another drama in the future. Where their able to fall in love. The chemistry between these two is wonderful. The VIP story line didn't really show that. The bts and variety shows they're on together did. I look forward to the possible future for projects for them.

I don't think this drama glorifies adultery. In fact, it shows how disgusting and discriminative it is. I think what the writers are aiming here is, how an affair affects men and women (esp considering how misogynistic the korean society is). There are many instances where this was shown. For example, when VP had a conversation with his wife when Yuri was exposed to the public. The wife said it is better if the VP accepts the allegations of having an affair rather than admitting that Yuri is his daughter because an affair will be forgotten. There was also that one time where an employee of the company was fired because he was caught cheating but his wife eventually filed a lawsuit against the company because it is not illegal to cheat. Meanwhile, free-spirited Hyun Ah's rape attempt allegations towards Mr. Bae was almost trashed because pictures of her going to clubs and being with different men was spread online. So this goes to show how if a man has an affair, the issue will be shrugged off. But if a woman has an affair, she's a "rude bitch" and a slut that should be taught a lesson. It also shows how traumatic an affair is to the victim but the writer also doesn't fail to make Jungsun (also the other female characters. Not of them are the damsel in distress kind of girl except Yuri) an inspiring character. Sort of like teaching us to deal with cheaters with grace and dignity. So I think rather than glorifying adultery, I think it is a bold attempt to get rid of the mentality that "men cheat because they're men." Like I think the creators are making this drama an awareness.
Chisky Barm I hope this doesn’t come off as brash but this is one clip compared to the entire drama. The series has been about Jung Sun being strong and trying to get back at her husband. This is the one scene where he finally “explains” himself. In no way does the drama glorify cheating.
Tingkatkan Taqwa he is a sadist actualy...he enjoys watching his wife suffers...he loves it...thank God na jung sun divorced him...its the best ending ever...to see na jung sun having a peaceful life...no regrets on her part.

She's trash, would like JS's character to move on and find a very handsome man and become a successful CEO, to her husband's regrets, want him to suffer, he longs for her, wants her back, but JS rejects him, off to the sunset with new man😊
I hate how they're more concerned about the image of the company than the people in the company. It's sad how he was so complimentary of their marriage and how she's an excellent worker, but jeopardized it himself by making this married man be responsible for "taking care" of his daughter. Cannot believe he has the unmitigated fall to ask him to divorce his wife to be with his daughter.

Wow this has made people really emotional so I think it must be worth a watch. Even this short clip had some fantastic acting. The worst and painful feeling is emotionally torture. Cheating is a choice, that can destroy relationships. But in this case i hate the man, because he never fight for his wife, he choose the mistress..and he continue hurting his wife. In relationship, if you are not strong enough, you cant accept your husband/wife , gf/bf again, after betraying. But before that you need to grieve, and then try again..fight for the love you invest and build.
the only mistake he made was not communicating to her and made the choice to go to another woman to share that pain. Instead of talking about how he felt and sharing the pain together with her while she was also grieving, he chose someone else. That was his mistake.

I first watched her in the romcom One More Happy Ending and she was hilarious there. Amazing how her acting here is as well.

Jang Nara is such an amazing actress. My heart went out to her character :( I just hate it when things like this happen. I had to help my friend move past a relationship that ended in the same way and I cried for her so much because she’s such a good person but the hurt changed her... nothing in her life seemed good or worth living, she wanted to be given justice but it was just not happening... i wish people wouldn’t hurt others like this, it also scared me more about marriage as there really seems to be no guarantee.

He lost a child but she did as well and as a mother who carries the child she blamed it on herself, that’s why she took it so hard. Instead of enduring WITH her, he took that opportunity to condone his cheating as if there can be a reason for cheating. As for the other girl she and him both pitied themselves and took that as “love”. She probably thought she was special that we would be willing to cheat on his with to be with her. They need help and jang nara needs to move on. He’s not worth it what so ever. Even if 10 years went down the drain, don’t waste another second.

Just like the media, usually they didn't talk about their "minus" to becomes the husband cheating on her. I mean the husband still have the reason for doing that. It'll be more painful for her to know his real reason but at least she knows about something that maybe she never heard before.
If a guy already confess about his feeling like this, it'll be hard for wife if she doesn't want to let they go. "I am sorry" is pretty clear statement for me. I think the husband feels more pity for his wife than the young girl. Marriages with a pity and regrets are such a toxic for their own life, I guess.

Jung sun's husband has an inferiority complex. He never felt worthy of Jung sun, almost like he won the jackpot and couldnt believe it when she agreed to marry him. Marrying a highly sought after, rich, well educated, smart, classy woman with good pedigree when in his mind his pedigree has a blemish he is ashamed of and cant even speak to his wife about. That is why he connected with that child who is going to learn hard life lessons after coveting another woman's husband. She is not innocent, she's learning very quickly how to scheme for what she wants and suddenly becoming part of a wealthy family will show her that the world will usually let you have what you want if you have money and the right pedigree. That's why she felt emboldened to cling to him after he said he was breaking it off and then sent the email. She knew she had him wrapped around her finger because he loves her. It is that love borne out of pity and seeing himself in her such that he connected with her on that level that will destroy him. He is right. He is undeserving of Jong sun and he has now clearly made his choice. Everyone will have to live with the consequences now. He will walk down the same path his father walked down. Jung sun had her faults for sure but like someone else said, her pushing him away is not enough reason for him to cheat. Even after he cheated she was willing to try to put it behind her and make their marriage work but what does he do...his gives bullshit excuses about broken glass.. who is he to act like the victim here. Pshew.Jung sun is not a pushover though. I suspect she will rather burn the house down (i.e. her husband) than let it go to someone else even if it means she gets hurt in the process.
I hope that the two leads get another drama in the future. Where their able to fall in love. The chemistry between these two is wonderful. The VIP story line didn't really show that. The bts and variety shows they're on together did. I look forward to the possible future for projects for them.

I don't think this drama glorifies adultery. In fact, it shows how disgusting and discriminative it is. I think what the writers are aiming here is, how an affair affects men and women (esp considering how misogynistic the korean society is). There are many instances where this was shown. For example, when VP had a conversation with his wife when Yuri was exposed to the public. The wife said it is better if the VP accepts the allegations of having an affair rather than admitting that Yuri is his daughter because an affair will be forgotten. There was also that one time where an employee of the company was fired because he was caught cheating but his wife eventually filed a lawsuit against the company because it is not illegal to cheat. Meanwhile, free-spirited Hyun Ah's rape attempt allegations towards Mr. Bae was almost trashed because pictures of her going to clubs and being with different men was spread online. So this goes to show how if a man has an affair, the issue will be shrugged off. But if a woman has an affair, she's a "rude bitch" and a slut that should be taught a lesson. It also shows how traumatic an affair is to the victim but the writer also doesn't fail to make Jungsun (also the other female characters. Not of them are the damsel in distress kind of girl except Yuri) an inspiring character. Sort of like teaching us to deal with cheaters with grace and dignity. So I think rather than glorifying adultery, I think it is a bold attempt to get rid of the mentality that "men cheat because they're men." Like I think the creators are making this drama an awareness.

It's sad how he was so complimentary of their marriage and how she's an excellent worker, but jeopardized it himself by making this married man be responsible for "taking care" of his daughter. An d when you are caught then every and any reason sounds logical to the cheater when they try to explain their reasoning why! When all they had to do was leave and then be with that person...it comes down to your own choice but many cheaters think they can get away with it! In my opinion there is really no reason for people to cheat and hurt the person they are with so badly that it turns into hate and revenge when all they had to do was leave in the first place but cheaters always want the cake and eat it too. But in this case i hate the man, because he never fight for his wife, he choose the mistress..and he continue hurting his wife.
In relationship, if you are not strong enough, you cant accept your husband/wife , gf/bf again, after betraying.
But before that you need to grieve, and then try again..fight for the love you invest and build.
the only mistake he made was not communicating to her and made the choice to go to another woman to share that pain. Instead of talking about how he felt and sharing the pain together with her while she was also grieving, he chose someone else. That was his mistake.
Once you break the trust or once you lied on your loyal woman, she will doubt you till the end. That comes naturally not intentionally.
It's always so damn easy for cheaters to go and leave their partners in an emotional mess while they're happy and excited about their new relationship. 😤
