    Hoorah! I look forward to these videos. Thank you so much for sharing. I usually watch each one of these multiple times. Not to mention the inspiration for card making. I really like the way you "outlined" each colored puppy with the light blue copic marker.

    LOVE these videos! I'm amazed at the creativity, how you manage to always find the perfect sized stamp for the space you have and also how you manage to stick all those layers SO straight! :-) mine always end up wonky all over the place! Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks Michelle! I'm very fussy about my cards being straight, so I think lots of practice has helped. Lol!

    Laying here with my pooch next to me. Watching you create some precious cards. She’s snoring. Gave me an idea for a page. I love the one with the circle puppy. I would like to make something like that as a shaker box. I also want to take pictures of her toys make them tiny like print them on wallet size and add that to Gracies shaker box. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. You get my creative juices flowing!

      Vickie Vegas Aw, so sweet. I don’t have any pets. Although my children always beg for a dog. I’m glad I can provide some inspiration for you. Your shaker box sounds like a fun idea! Happy crafting! 💖

    You have inspired me to try this myself. I haven't been able to get 32 cards but a respectable 22 card were created. I love these videos. Keep it up!

      Thank you, Glenda! I'm glad I can provide some inspiration for you. The amount of cards I get each time changes. My end goal isn't to make as many cards as possible. It just depends on which sketches I choose.

    Another great video. Love watching you do this. Your other videos inspired me to try this so I'm working on a 180 sheet 6X6 pack and I have 64 cards so far. It's taking me a little while but I love most of the cards so far. Thanks!! (Next time I'm going to work with one that has a little less sheets in it.)

      Thank you, Lori! I'm glad I can provide some inspiration for you. Wow, 180 sheet 6x6 paper pad! I've never even seen one with that many sheets. 36-sheets is definitely my limit. I'm impressed that you are sticking with it. Good luck!

Not to mention the cards are amazing and I am so impressed with how you used so much of the paper with little waste!!!! You rock! I aspire to one day be able to make cards half as good as you!!!! The timing on the music and the empty tape gun at 11:57 was so perfect, lol. The crescendo and then the silence... :D

    I've been making cards for 15 years and seriously never thought to cut shapes out of the middle of a bottom layer.... It's the things that make you want to slap yourself on the head and say DUH!!!

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol! I actually don't even do it very often, although I should. But when I'm running low on a specific cardstock color, it's super helpful.

    I do love watching your videos! much better than any tv show! while I made cards for OWH, I collected sketches for cards. not much on measurements, I get intimidated. so one card may take me half a day. suggestion?

    I love watching your videos. Can you tell me about the various adhesives you prefer? It seems you have different ones for different uses.

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Michele! I use a few different adhesives for cardmaking. My favorite one is ATG tape from Scotch. It's super sticky and I can purchase it inexpensively here in the United States. I also use a liquid glue for adhering smaller items like die cuts. It's Quick-Dry Adhesive made by Scotch.

    Hi Kristie, I just love your videos and they are relaxing to watch, it's funny how that works. I'm going to pull a paper pad and try doing this. You make it look so easy though. I noticed you live in WA. I'm in Vancouver WA. Do you teach any classes locally? I would love to sign up if you do. Please keep the videos coming they are so inspirational.

      Thank you, Nichole! I'm sorry, but I don't teach classes. That would be a super long class. Lol! I do have plans for more videos though.

    I like your cards but I have one question, since I see that there are layers of paper on front panel, how much weight of card base you use for these card?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I use 100 # cover weight cardstock for my card bases. Even with extra layers on the card front, it still stands up nicely.

      Thanks for replying, your style is really close to my heart or what I do you can say, but I have to face this problem when I do so. Haven't tried Doodlebug before but now I know which company I should go for. TFS. Stay Blessed.

    Where did you get all you sketch ideas from? Did you print them out and how do you store them?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Linda Meunier Hello. I find the sketches from several online sites. I list them all on my coordinating blog post. I do print them out and I store them in an expandable file folder. Nothing fancy, but it works for me. 😊

    how do you decide which solid coordinating colors in 12 x 12 to use?

    • @cassandrasramirez
      @cassandrasramirez 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same question.

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When I'm ready to start a new 6x6, I go through my stash of card stock and look for coordinating colors to match the 6x6 papers. Sometimes I don't have the perfect colors and have to head out to my LSS to shop for cardstock. While I'm making cards, I first try to use the tone-on-tone patterns for the backgrounds. But once those run out, I turn to solid cardstock for the backgrounds. The colors I choose are based on what pattern scraps are left over. I generally like to have a lot of contrast on my cards.

  • @gaylehill849
    @gaylehill849 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious if you throw away your final scraps (the very few you have) when you've finished the pad project?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gayle Hill Any scraps I do have left go to my 8 year old daughter. She loves to craft and will use the scraps on her own card creations. 😊

    What do you do with the finished products?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally use many of my cards. But I also give away quite a few cards to my church, my family and friends. Sometimes, I'll donate a basket of cards to a local fundraising auction.
