I am just a club house racer, I am using savox servos and my question is when is it necessary to shim the servo up? I do like the flashpoint washer setup. I’m just wondering if I should use a shim under the servo. Thanks for your time
Thank you very much Adam much appreciated. All hobby stores in my area told me that the one piece mount is absolute. Tried on line and no luck, I like the Losi air filter set up just order one. Thanks for all the help and your time for the local club racer.
Hi Adam, I have the Mbx7R nitro and I want to upgrade my radio (I use a spectrum dx4c). If you could rate the Hitec Lynx on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the best) what would it score on terms of quality and performance? That Futaba you have now looks really impressive, but the reason I am looking at the Hitec is because the technical specs look pretty good, and both the radio and the receiver prices seem more reasonable compared to the other brands.
Karl, The Hitec radio is very good considering the price point, but I'm not sure how much longer they will continue to support the radio. The Futaba 7PX is amazing, but Futaba also has other radio systems at a lower price point.

@@adamdrake8006 I am a big big fan of the protek servos too. Everything protek I have used so far has surprised me when it comes to quality. Not that I expected poor results... they simply set the performance and quality bar!
Haha! I have used the Protek electronic switch and it works well. The switch I normally use is the JRPA003 switch that isn't made anymore, but works great. Once I run out, I'll switch everything over to the Protek switch.

Yes, it's the one piece engine mount from Mugen Seiki. You should only need to shim the servos up if they are touching the chassis.

I like the Losi filter because it allows more clearance for the linkage. The shorter fuel line seems to be more consistent and more reliable.

I tested the Protek servos and really liked the precision and feel of the servos.
