Hey @JooseTheNomad - Where do you recommend the best place as a digi nomad to be in October in SEA? I've been looking at Da Nang but heard it flooded pretty bad October to December the last few years.
I went to Angeles City when I went to the Philippines but next time I would love to visit one of the beautiful islands as far as the foods concerned out of all your vlogs the food in Vietnam seems to look the best 👌
Siquijor gives Siargao a run for its money. Specially because of its proximity to South Cebu, Mindanao, and Negros. When the infrastructure catches up and it becomes way more convenient to travel between those Islands, then Siquijor hands down is better than Siargao. But that doesn’t take away from how nice Siargao is.
@@JooseTheNomad Still islandy vibe and pristine like Siargao. Better coastline. Blue water waterfalls. Better diving spots. And again, it’s proximity to South Cebu. (The best waterfalls / diving spots in the country) It’s proximity to Mindanao, which has some of the most underrated, undiscovered tourist spots in the country. The more research you do with Siquijor, and everything surrounding it, the more you’ll realize I’m right.
@@JooseTheNomad Siquijor is very livable. But yes Siargao is more developed atm. It's the hot girl in the club rn, got a good vibe there, lots of developments going on. But again, that could very well change when Siquijor's infrastructure catches up. It's just strategically poised for tourism / leisure living.
I literally moved here for 1 month because I watched your videos. But you missed one thing might surprise people. You need to have return ticket booked/photoshoped before you enter Philipines. They'll ask for it on airport.
Nice! How did you like it? There's a website to get a temporary legit ticket too but I'd think they would let someone in if you say you will extend the visa in immigrstion but aren't sure yet about the exact date leaving?
I only had issues with it in Bali tbh, nowhere else. And even in Bali I ate them a lot without problems, just sometimes but the problmes where quite agressive sometimes so I'd be careful over there😄
Siargao looks amazing. The only area they seem to be lacking in is the villas/apartments etc. Bali has way more options so Im still deciding which one to pick.
Yeah exactly! It's the biggest problem here but generally at least for me Bali is much better for a longer stay still because it's more developed. But, if you emjoy simple-living in a smaller place then this could be better!
There is no best island, every one has there preferred islands. Siargao is good for the young, partying and hippie life style vibe. Not exactly for the family types who need big houses and convenience of a metro like Manila and Cebu.
