In earlier episodes, there were already clues that SRQ is also a time traveler. SRQ just wants power. He thinks he is in love with LR but he actually is in love with the power associated with her. He is also trying to change the future to prevent the massacre of his family. He thinks that if he can be successful with LR and Qin family is killed (so QZZ wont end up being in the palace and LC wont go crazy due to QZZ's death), there is hope the future will change. That is why he is very persistent.
Gosh! I so love how the plot unfolds. Also love the slow but steady development of PW and Pingyue's relationship. Makes me smile every time Wenxuan gets jealous and how he protects and takes care of Pingyue. This is the first time that I really don't like the 2nd male lead right from the beginning. I was like "ugghh, here he goes again" every time he tries to get close to Pingyue.
Su Rongqing thought that he stood a chance before, but now he knows he doesn't stand a chance with her, and how are you going to threaten her and then think that now her prince consort is dead, so I should propose a marriage? Come on, Su Rongqing, I thought he was smarter than that, but he was just stupid.
