I graduated with a diploma a year and a half ago, took 1 year off to change my bad habits(sleeping late and waking late, taking naps, watching too much dramas) finally got myself straightened up and am starting school in a one year course, hopefully i keep up and all goes well! Been going down this nostalgia trip lately with old MMO's i played as a kid / early teens, started with Flyff last night - whether it's just watching videos or the music, games like Flyff, and Maplestory and even Old School Runescape just had this charm to them, specially early days in which memories were being created, memories i still keep with me, the friendships, the joy, man.. reflecting back on it now, specially this year that is completely throughout... times were so simple back than. Such fond memories that surpass just a nostalgic feeling, rather times in which were thoroughly amazing.
Thank you so much for uploading this. The nostalgic feeling I get is absolutely beautiful (I would change nothing about maplestory’s influence on my childhood) and the way it still brings the old maple story community together in the comments is remarkable. I shall listen to this for many hours to come! :)
My soul and ears are all being bombarded with nostalgia right now.. ..and I welcome it all with open arms.. ahh the memories.. so many sweet and precious memories meeting so many people running around with so many different goals and things to do.. all the PQs, the fantastic music.. man, old Maple was one of the best games for me back then hands down.
I love this game played as a kid, stopped for a few years cause my computer couldnt play it anymore but when i got a new laptop i played it again, its a lovely game i always liked the stories of the characters and soo much easier to level up since back then lol. and so different it has a changed so much over time with new classes and areas and what not.. its a childhood game i will always like, i still play it from time to time.
BTW they have a new mobile version that is very fun! I am tin the same boat as you and dont have time either. But the mobile version is easy to play level up fast and is fun.

MapleStory BGM brings back so much of my childhood feelings and nostalgia... it helped me get through the hard times in life and gave me a fun game to play. I really wish this game would come back and go back to the original, which was way more interaction, gameplay, and overall general good time. Now that I grow up I realize that a game shouldn't be controlling your life but the good 'ol innocent days man I wonder where has all the time gone!!!

Gosh, so nostalgic. I started playing Maplestory Sea when I was 15yrs old which at the year of 2006. I missed all the memories being there. Having online brothers and sisters, guild mates. ❤️ Back then was so difficult to get mats and the scrolls. Also,the music really hit me in heart.
Listening to this music remind me the time when i was a kid who always dreaming about become a wizard and living in a place like Ellinia. I really miss these good old days :(

Damn the nostalgia. Maplestory now is just really different. In my opinion, it is mostly because of a lot of other games being released that is getting other people's attention. They just attract a lot of people because they've been playing maplestory for a long time and they want a change. They start playing this other game and they forget about it for a while, then they come back and play maplestory, sees all the updates and calls it bad because the other game seemed better then it. I've been playing maplestory since 2008. Sure it was more fun back then because of all the party quests, but it was a hell of a grind. I like the maplestory now mostly because it is easier to level up. This meant that you can play more jobs and get all their skills faster. There is way more options. Before the big bang update, you just went around the map spamming the same attack over and over again. However, the feeling of accomplishment was way higher. The variety now is more my type then back then. However, party quests are dying out way faster because there is just no need for it anymore. That is one of the cons of the present maplestory. There is way less interactions with other players which was one of the best parts about maplestory. Getting to meet new people on an online game. You're able to express yourself way easier to someone you don't know in real life and only online. Now, maplestory is more of a solo game if you are just starting out. Making new friends is pretty hard if you're not very good at starting conversation. Most of the people now who play maplestory are the people who have been playing maplestory for a long time. Many new players just come and go because they feel like they are just playing a solo game with a crap ton of NPC's around them.
I play since 2004, as all the kids have grown into adults their endless meaningless time in their hands became shorter and move valuable. The need for being rewarded and accomplishment became a bigger necessity in a shorter time, thus game evolved in that way. Maplestory didn't change the way we don't like it but we made it change to the way it is. Now I am a big ass adult with lots of responsibilities but I still find myself installing the game again every now and then to wander around aimlessly and I every time I get depressed that life is not as fun as its used to be and the fact that Maplestory was a reason to wake up early in mornings makes me miss that pure joy and innocent happiness.
As someone that played from 05 up untill around 2014 and then switched to private servers. I can wholeheartedly say the game turned sour. What it lacked in in game achievements( the never ending grind) it made up in social features (party quest Orbis ships ludi pq and ofc just in one room together grinding ) it forced a person to be social unlike now where it's mainly solo play. That's the reason people say the game is bad. It's just . . . Not social. Which was it's best features since the beginning. Also in game achieving was a rewarding. I mean just hitting level 30 made the young me feel as if my int spearman could take on the world. Anyway the old ms will always have a special place in my heart.

I really wish I let my older sister make a Maplestory account for me when I was a little kid. She offered to and heavily encouraged me to play, but the game was too "cute" to me, and I was too afraid of my brothers and friends (at the time) making fun of me for playing, and liking things that were cute, so I heavily detested, literally to the point of crying when she tried making me one. It was that bad, I was that afraid of my brothers finding out I liked, or even Tried anything cutesy. I would have Loved Maplestory if I just didn't care what anyone thought. Now, looking back on it, Maplestory, Halo, Combat Arms, Cod, Gmod, and so many other games were just so much better back then. This video really takes me back to like, 2005-2012. Those were the Best years, even if I wasn't super comfortable or happy back then either, it was definitely a lot easier to ignore the pain and just indulge in things, even if I couldn't tell people about the things I liked because I was born a boy, and where I grew up, that meant you had to be masculine and like a dude-bro. It was tough growing up like that, cause it was something I was Never interested in. I always liked Cute things, I always liked things that girls liked. Of course I also liked Halo and all the other stuff too, absolutely, but I also Really liked Maplestory, and other adorable games and things like it. It just sucks, cause I just wish I fully indulged in things I liked and just shrugged off everyone who made fun of me for it. Now I'm 22, and even though I never got into the original Maplestory, I did make my own Private Server for Maplestory 2, and me and my friends love playing together, showing our cute characters to each other, and just enjoying each others company. They're truly the only friends I have that make me feel anything close to how I felt with friends online back in 2005-2012. They're the best friends anyone could ask for. I really oughta tell my sister someday that little me low-key did want a Maplestory account, and I should thank her for trying to get me into it when we were younger, because I would have absolutely loved it, despite what younger me said. I'm just sad I missed out on personally experiencing this game outside of watching my sisters play quite a lot, and listening to the music for the game, as well as nowadays on my MS2 server. It's nice to be able to play with friends, but it always has a slightly hollow feeling to it. There's no one I'd rather play then with my friends, but it's just sad to see the world so empty aside from us, considering we missed out on that ship, too.

Me too!! Oh my goodness. I loved the LPQ and OPQ music, socializing with new people everyday. It was such a carefree adventure game and the advent of social media. When I enter the login screen, and hop in, it felt soothing, peaceful, and meditative. Loved showing off my 1 pair of ilbis in PQ then running out and throwing subis after. And being a nice and proper dex sin and not one of those ugly bamboo hat maple kandayo sauna robe ksing d3xl3ssS1n. I want them to remake a better MapleStory 3, or I'll do it, hm?!

Goddamn.. i met so much damn good maplers in this game.. really wish i had them on social media before we all died down.. but again, i was like 12 playing this game and i am 20 years old right now. Its just so much amazing memories. I love the old Maplestory and will forever be in my head!
I remember the first time I road on the airship to orbis. I was so excited and happy about being able to fly... but everything changed when the balrog attacked. I wasn't able to get inside... and it took a while to save up enough to try riding the ship again. Good times :')
A lot of people like the Temple of Time music... But I remember when I was a noob in pre-Big Bang and I got a teleport rock from an event, the time when level limitations didn't restrict you from warping somewhere... I warped to Temple of Time because I was so curious how the place where OP people goes looks like... after I warped to Temple of Time, I immediately died with the surrounding mass of creepy-smiley-faced monk-looking ghosts shooting their spit ball at me @_@ Therefore this song reminds me of the chills when I should experience peace, but good memories indeed c: RIGHT NOW THE MONKS ONLY GIVE ME -1 HP PER ATTACK HAHHAHA
Lol. I had a similar experience as a kid in the temple of time. I walked up to one of those creeps, taped them with my polearm a few thousand times and noped the fuck out of there when he started glowing. For some reason, the aran quest line made you go to leafre earlier and I was nosey so I went exploring. Some how left with my life.

This is amazing, the variety of each soundtrack is phenomenal and yet they are so happy and relaxing

ludi/orbis pq were by far my favourite pqs and gave me many of my favourite memories, glad to see other people loved them too!

Me too!! Oh my goodness. I loved the LPQ and OPQ music, socializing with new people everyday. It was such a carefree adventure game and the advent of social media. When I enter the login screen, and hop in, it felt soothing, peaceful, and meditative. Loved showing off my 1 pair of ilbis in PQ then running out and throwing subis after. And being a nice and proper dex sin and not one of those ugly bamboo hat maple kandayo sauna robe ksing d3xl3ssS1n. I want them to remake a better MapleStory 3, or I'll do it, hm?!

Goddamn.. i met so much damn good maplers in this game.. really wish i had them on social media before we all died down.. but again, i was like 12 playing this game and i am 20 years old right now. Its just so much amazing memories. I love the old Maplestory and will forever be in my head!

I remember the first time I road on the airship to orbis. I was so excited and happy about being able to fly... but everything changed when the balrog attacked. I wasn't able to get inside... and it took a while to save up enough to try riding the ship again. Good times :')
A lot of people like the Temple of Time music... But I remember when I was a noob in pre-Big Bang and I got a teleport rock from an event, the time when level limitations didn't restrict you from warping somewhere... I warped to Temple of Time because I was so curious how the place where OP people goes looks like... after I warped to Temple of Time, I immediately died with the surrounding mass of creepy-smiley-faced monk-looking ghosts shooting their spit ball at me @_@ Therefore this song reminds me of the chills when I should experience peace, but good memories indeed c: RIGHT NOW THE MONKS ONLY GIVE ME -1 HP PER ATTACK HAHHAHA
Lol. I had a similar experience as a kid in the temple of time. I walked up to one of those creeps, taped them with my polearm a few thousand times and noped the fuck out of there when he started glowing. For some reason, the aran quest line made you go to leafre earlier and I was nosey so I went exploring. Some how left with my life.
