La Liga is my favorite league to follow. I know a lot of premier league fans think it's a 2 team farmers league, but it's not. It's basically the highest level of play where flair powered players can still get enough time on the ball to have some fun and show off, which I think is a great thing. The teams have great support and great derbies/rivalries, and a much broader range of tactical ideas than the prem.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying the prem isn't the best league from top to bottom but personally I am really exhausted by the emphasis on efficiency over fun, efficiency over beauty, efficiency over creativity, efficiency over everything, and the copycat nature of tactical trends in the prem. If you're burnt out on the hurly burly who-wants-it-more no fun allowed nature of the prem then give La Liga a try. It's wonderful football honestly. Also, they kick lumps out of each other lmao.

The reason why people are calling this Madrid team the most dangerous is because of the potential. The squad assembled during the last two galacticos era consisted of players in their prime but the current Madrid squad is still so young but is already so good. It’d be scary when all these players hit their prime in a couple of years and also the fact that Madrid just made a billion in revenue last season shows that they are financially stable/healthy and can keep adding the best players itw. And yes other European giants apart from City are going through transition which makes Real favourites for all the titles atleast for the next couple of years

The second Galatico Era managed to be so impressive that, over a decade later (2022 and 2024), the few players left were still good enough for the team to dominate the Champions League.
Now, you have to do it with lots of star players who are 25 *at the oldest* which means that, unless something bad happens, you could be set for a whole decade. Heck, 10 years from now, Endrick will be only *slightly* older than Mbappé is now

As a barca fan, yet again disappointed by the board. We had such obvious and feasible targets in merino and williams who would fix so many of the weaknesses of our team and would genuinely make us a lot more competitive. Instead, due to incompetence and a complete lack of proper priorities, we went for olmo instead, a player that we dont need, and who might nd up giving a talent like fermin (who has been insane in the olympics) far less opportunity. The only real hope right now is that all this is because olmo is a player that potentially works better with flick's system but we will have to see about that. Its honestly very disappointing considering just how much talent we have and how much we continue to get from la masia, even with a slightly competent board we should be one of the best clubs itw, but that just isnt the case. There’s footage of Neymar physically fighting a teammate during his last practices with Barcelona. And the truth is you just won’t find anything like that about Mbappé. He’s had this villain reputation for years all built off his relationship with a singular player, and it was clear that it was just a relationship that soured. Regarding Barcelona, there were 4 glaring and very visible holes in the squad GK,DM,LW and ST,it has been clear for months that Roque was on his way out Lewandowski is almost if not entirely finished at the highest level ,Felix wasn’t it on the wing,Romeu was useless as a DM,Ter Stegen has been a liability in big games for almost a decade and somehow he’s the captain and the injuries have been crippling for years now. In a window where the club should have planned extensively for next season and had multiple options for each position they signed an injury prone player for 60 mill in the squad’s most stacked position, are forcing a 17yo with 0 pro appearances to play the most difficult position in football in one of the most high pressure environments in football, have another rookie with no pro experience covering for Lewandowski, are counting on rookies and a possible Cancelo(who was horrendous on the 3 most important games last ssn) loan to cover the fullback options all while still employing below par players like Ferran,Lenglet EricGarcia&Iñaki Peña aswell as not being able to get rid of Frenkie de Jong and the 37 mill gross he takes in a season which is around 10% of the entire wage bill while also paying Lewy 34 mill for 20 goals a season, one could say that they can let this season slide and look forward to the next but with the sheer incompetence at the top it’s quite literally impossible to compete with Real and maybe soon even Atletico unless La Masia produces 5 different world class talents for the different positions that are needed.

There are gonna be teams that expose us but there's always gonna be games where we are just vibing. Coz tactically we are there to be exposed since Carlo is not rigid like other coaches but I love it coz it gives us a early 2000s feel to our team.

I only always bring that up to give him his flowers with regards to the freedom he allows his players. So we are tactically sound but not in the sort of well drilled and automated way that maybe a Man City is where they follow Peps blueprint to a tee. Carlo blueprint is more of a suggestion and he kinda just allows the individuals to interpret it how they want depending on game state.
So that's what kinda leaves us "vulnerable" in a sense coz we just go with the flow. So that's where the early 2000s feel comes from.

Here are my thoughts on Barça, as a Barça fan since the era of Ronaldinho.
Barça needs Nico, but he won't sign unless they pay more than they can afford, not because he wants money, but because he wants to stay at Bilbao for another season and only an offer he can't refuse will make him leave right now.
As for up front, we can definitely build something with Yamal, Pau Victor, and Vitor Roque. We just need a good, young, talented left winger (Nico). If these three can keep improving and work towards forming an offensive core with the already stacked midfield, we won't be left questioning if the hole Lewandowski will leave is a problem.
We have a decent defense, although I think signing a few full backs would help the squad depth a lot. Balde is essentially our only left back as Valle has not been impressive with Levante. We also have 1 real right back in Hector Fort, who's promising talent but needs development.
I think this season will be more about developing the younger talent and keeping our key players free of injury to at least have a chance at the La Liga title as well as international success. In that regard, Dani Olmo is the most baffling PR stunt Barça has pulled in recent years. This player is great, but we did not need to sign him. We needed more full backs, not another midfielder.

As a Barca fan, just ignore, well, 80% of the Barca fanbase, we are just f*cked.
Real Madrid is ..., you already know.
ATM is looking strong with their roster and also have loads of new signing that if they work out, they can put up a really good fight against Real. And more importantly, they are signings that Simione asked for.
    And for Barca, well:
    - No replacement for Busquets, a year after his departure. There are some new kids from La Masia, but whether they will pull a Lamine Yamal or not is still in doubt.
    - The signing of Dani Olmo, it feels like the sole reason for it is just for Laporta and Deco to glaze themselves. Put the injury proneness aside, tactically, Olmo arrival can potentially detrimental to other players' progress. Olmo playing on left wing will disable Balde's strength and expose his weakness. Olmo as a number 10 will massively reduce the playing time of some of the most promising talents we have, directively affect Fermin Lopez, a player with various unique attributes in comparision to other Barca midfielders. And put Pedri in a position which may not be entirely new to him, but will not utterlize his abilities. That being said, I will still fully support Olmo and hope him the best.
So yeah, I may consider going to the nearest pharmacy to buy some pacemakers or smt. This season is gonna be loooong for us Barca fan.

That is because any team in La Liga can be competitive; they are used to fight against Barcelona, Madrid, Atlético, Sevilla, Villarreal, Bilbao or Real Sociedad and win them games as its life depend on it. It is a really tough league, underrated by british media just to sell its farmer premier league to low foreign IQ football spectators. For decades it´s been far more competitive in european competitions thanks to Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, Sevilla and Villarreal.

UCL format is different this season, of course we are the favourites but regular rotations are essential to like literally win everything we can. One match at a time! Also we really need to overhaul the tactics as Kroos isnt there and available player profiles are very different to him. But Don Carlo will figure it out.

Look at everyone else who could potentionally rival real madrid.
They are all in a TERRIBLE state.

Real Madrid have the attack covered with the three upfront and 3 on the bench (Arda, Brahim and Endrick) that can give you different option. Real Madrid Still NEED two defensive mind midfielders.
Arda and Modric could try but they can't give you 65-70 mins every 3 days, Dani Ceballos is not good for attack or defend so he's just a waste of wage. Camavinga out for 6-7 weeks means Real Madrid is just one Tchouaméni injury away from disaster. Tchouaméni is not the only CDM but he's also the back up CB.
Real Madrid starting 11 is great but the bench is weak at midfield and defense.

As a cule who's following the transfer updates everyday from insider journalists, Deco NEEDS to fucking leave. He's extremely incompetent and he feels like that guy at the auction who just can't lose, even if it brings him under. We overpay for flashy signings we absolutely don't need. I was hoping we'd sign a pivot and a winger this season, MAYBE even dream of a right back which we're also seriously lacking because kounde prefers CB.
Okay, in the order of priority, kounde can keep doing RB, cacado and bernal look promising for the pivot roles, but where. is. our. left. wing. singing.
What makes the whole summer even more dissappointing is that at one point, it seems as though nico agreed to the deal and barca just didnt have upfront cash, which is how they got initially rejected for olmo as well, by leipzig. Leipzig demanded more upfront cash and barca caved for some reason.
Even more frustrating is the fact that barca was seriously linked to chiesa and coman, to the point where reports claimed that juventus, seeing as though they wanted to sell chiesa, were offering him to barca at a discounted 15-20m range. We spent all that time hyperfocused on two singings, not even looking at options. that's clearly not the blaugrana's legacy in the market rn

Yeah, they are OP on paper, but without a leader and superb passer like Modric or Kroos it all falls apart. Bellingham is still young and inexperienced compared to those two veterans and the first game against Mallorca endind 1:1 says enough. On paper they should be destroying everyone left, right and center, but it's not as easy as everyone thinks. Remember, the Galácticos era had some of the best players on the planet (R9, Figo, Zidane, Beckham, Roberto Carlos) and they have ultimately been a failure. But one thing everyone has to acknowledge is that Pérez knows the perfect time when to let a player go like Casemiro, Varane etc... They are ruthless and incredibly smart with their transfers, always investing into the future (Rodrygo, Endrick, Vini,Mbappe) and selling players at their highest value for maximum profit. Gotta respect that. It's just good business. He treats the club as a business, because that's what it is, and he runs it very successfully, so kudos to him.

As a lifelong RM fan it's most satisfying to see how well the club are being run in comparison to some others (and legitimately, without financial doping)Transfer policy seems spot on, coaching great, but there are always criticisms and balanced arguments that can be levelled. First, there are no young Spanish players coming through in the new pack, whereas Barca has a multitude, the youth system at Madrid is only working as a money generator. Second, Madrid have multiple weaknesses as mentioned in your video (defense), but also they have lost their midfield metronome. 2 aging right fullbacks.
In footballing terms everyone is underestimate Barca who have a brilliant squad who can compete, but they aren't being run well from a business perspective. If they can get stability on a coaching level and stop making stupid decisions, they will be a force still. I believe a strong Barca is good for Madrid.
