The shot at Atherstone reminds me when I was 6 years old and my dad took me to Luton Station on a misty night with a 1d platform ticket and North Borneo csme through at speed on the down line with the firebox open and making that unmistakeable sound of a Jub. Heavy swirling mist and reflected flame, what a thunderous feeling. I called my Hornby 0-4-0 tender engine North Borneo forever after.
Joseph, Not much to point the cameras in January and February but some good tours are coming up. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Great footage of the two Railtours I caught Clun Castle on its return journey at Birmingham Moor Street and I’m seeing 44871 on Saturday as it is hauling the Stratford flyer.
I was out for the black 5 earlier today and I’ve caught that loco at Tamworth and she was absolutely roaring its way through the slow line and it’s a proper territory for the loco

Great footage John. The last location was particularly atmopsheric. In the dark, it's easy to see how lineside fires might start! Cheers, Rob
Rob, Thanks and having seen Andrew's previous still from the road crossing I thought I would give it a try. Regards, John
I have missed your work. The video at the rail crossing is very intimate. Thanks John
